I said I wouldn't do this but... I couldn't resist. And besides, this means I can cause some more trouble. ENJOY.
Name:
Gespest
Game of Origin:
Original, same world as Lanzer
Nicknames:
Gespenst, Lord of Shadow, the God of Darkness, The Phantom of the East
Age:
Thousands of years old. Current host is about... 16.
Species:
Parasitic dark being. Current host is a Jaggif
Gender:
Personality is male.
Alignment:
BAD. VERY BAD.
Type:
Intense
Residence:
None currently, but may set up shop somewhere.
Personal Relationships: (optional)
Yeeeeah... no.
Minions:
The Schatten: These shadowy creatures possess living things, or even objects, twisting them into monsters. Those with a close link to Light can resist them, and even destroy them. (I.E. most heroes.)
Occupation:
Boss, once was a dark wizard
Moveset:
Gespenst has a trully massive repetoire of dark magic, but the abilities listed below are the ones he uses most, and uses in combat. He is... or WAS a dark wizard once, after all.
HP: 70
Dice Size: 8
Shadow Gatling - forms a ball of darkness in one hand. He can then fire blasts of dark energy rapid fire. If one of the shots should miss, all the rest following it will as well.
Dusk Blade - Creates a pair of shadow daggers. He uses these for melee combat.
Nightfall - Will either stop the groun with one foot, creating a mass of dark energy, or leap into the air, and use the increased momentum to create a MASSIVE blast.
Barrier - Creates a spherical, dark barrier around him for two of -his- turns. He can't move while using this, but he's immune to attack till it wears off. Then has to wait for turns before he can use it again.
Shadow Step - Vanishes in a burst of darkness, then reappears somewhere else in the same manner. Causes damage at either end of the teleport.
Flight Mode - Surrounds himself with darkness, spreading black wings, and flies at his opponent. On impact, he WILL send them flying back. He also uses this to get around, along with his Shadow Step power.
Black Rocket - Surrounds himself with darkness, then ricochet around the battlefield.
Hel Grenade - creates a ball of darkness, then throws it. It then explodes.
Schatten Clone - Schatten will attempt to mimic their master, and attack. These clones are pathetically weak, with only 1 HP, and using 4 sided dice to attack with Dusk Blades.
Shadow Spark - Black flames he can ignite at any point in midair that he can see. Usually your face.
Phantom Hand - Creates a black hand from shadow, and uses it to grab opponents, and slam them into things, or throw other things AT them.
Super Move:
Nocturne Finale (Oblivion Grave) - Begins to levitate, as darkness spreads out from his body, before he lifts his hands into the air, and starts to speak.
"Let the shadows consume all that lie before me, let my fury eclipse all hope of light. And Darkness consume their very souls... OBLIVION GRAVE!"
On the last two words, The darkness, which has now filled the battlefield, gathers in a tight ball above his hands, which he brings forward, and unleashes as powerful beam of energy. (Rolls 12-sided die, does 5 damage)
Weaknesses:
Gespenst's greatest weakness is his pride. He can be spurred into action simply by questioning his ability to do something, but he isn't stupid, so this won't ALWAYS work. Physically, his host isn't physically that strong, or quick on his feet. In essence, he RELIES on his magical abilities. Ironically, magic that works against demons, or uses light, actually hurts him more than anything else. But just hitting him with a flashlight does jack. And he can walk into a church if he wanted. So your milage may vary.
Personality:
Evil. Sadistic. Malevolence incarnate. These scratch the surface of Gespenst's personality. He's very old, and has been a creature of darkness for so long he barely remembers ever being... living, beyond using the bodies of his unfortunate hosts. He prefers intelligent host, though, for a simple reason. He enjoys forcing their personality into the back of their mind, and making them watch as he uses their body for his own purposes. He desires nothing less than total dominance of his world, plunging it into darkness, and the acquiring of knowledge and power towards that end. There is no sense in trying to redeem him, as there's nothing left TO redeem.
Unfortunately, none of this could be immediately evident, as Gespenst is VERY charismatic, capable of fooling -most- people into believing him to be his host, or at least... not who he really is.
Above all though, Gespenst is VERY intelligent, possing a very... "chessmaster" type personality. In fact, it's very rare that he would fight someone himself, allowing his minions to do the work. As a result, in most cases very few people even know what he looks like.
Likes:
Power, darkness, the Schatten, the pain, fear, and suffering of others, his plans working ou as desired, and subsuming another person's personality, while keeping them aware of his actions in their body
Dislikes:
Failure of his plans (surprisingly rare), light, the boy (Lanzer), and Pauker.
Appearance:
History:
Gespenst was a person once. A wizard, seeking the secret to the power to stop the darkness of the world... through the use of that same darkness. Unfortunately, and predictably, he failed, consumed by the same darkness he'd sought to control. But he wasn't just... gone. He was alive, formless, one with the darkness around him, slowly going mad. This was a millenia ago.
However, he didn't remain formless forever... 800 years in his world's past, he discovered something. He could attach himself to others, and control their body, wil them helpless to do anything more than watch... and part of his realized... he enjoyed it. This ability to strip the freedom from others, with no chance of them stopping him. He soon, using his new body, and the powers he'd gained Beyond, formed an army, intent of taking over his world. But one warrior stood in his way, fighting through his army, even taking and using his solder's own skills against them! Finally, a showdown came down between Gespenst and this warrior... a showdown he lost. In a last ditch effort, he attempted to take the warrior's bod for his own, only to have it destroyed, except for one article of clothing...
A hat. However, this was ignored b the dark one, who fled east, to rest, and regain his strength.
For 800 years he waited, until he discovered beings not unlike himself... shadows, flickers that as they encountered him, obeyed him unquestioningly. These... Schatten would become his new army, possessing the creatures of the world, and conquering in his name.
But again, a single being stood in his path. A boy, unused to combat, to war. But this boy, fighting his way towards him, was SO much like that warrior... TOO much so. Gespenst, with his body, this of a girl, that same boy's best friend, finally stood before him, and faced him... only to lose again. And again, he tried to take the bod of this child who'd defeated him, only for the light the child possessed to repel him, and weaken him further. And again, he fled, finding a new host, a new body, seeking revenge on this boy who'd defeated him.
And his quest for vengeance led him to a portal... that Lanzer himself had passed through only moments before...
Anything else? (Optional)
Obviously, Gespenst is from the same world as Lanzer, and is in fact the main villain. It wasn't until I realized dthe Schatten would come with him that I realized...
We have a new possibilitiy for an evil army! Eat your hearts out, Primids!
