Tom Nook has lived in Smashville for as long as he could remember. His parents had run the local store then, and he would sometimes run the errands for his folks. He loved helping out, and he sometimes watched the store for them when they went out. He loved working there, and that's what led him to take over the family business when he grew old enough.
One day, Master Hand found out that Smash City didn't have a good convienience store, fo furniture, food, medicine, etc. So, he had decided to look around this world for someone worthy enough to run a store. Then one other day he came across Smashville, and the big store Nookington's. He decided that this store was good enough, so he convinced Tom Nook to transfer his store to Smash City. So, to this day, people all over Smash City can go to Nookingtons and get items and furniture and medicine.
