Mabel and Sable are opposites of each other. Sable is a recluse and Mabel is very talkative and sassy. Sable is a bit gloomy and on the negative side, while Mabel is a blue, energetic hedgehog who has somewhat of an attitude(sound familar? ;o). They both enjoy their job and each other's company.

History:
Sable and Mabel's parents died when they were just children. Without them, Sable was required to take responsibility and raise her little sister on her own. Her mother had taught her to sew, and it was the only thing she knew. So she opened a Tailor Shop in their own little cottage to make money for food and to pay off their debt for the house (to Tom Nook, of course). She was very skilled for her age and became the main source for Smashvile's shirts, umbrellas, wallpapers, and rugs. She taught her little sister to sew, too, and together they became the famous Able Sisters!
