Name
Egg Pawns
Game of Origin
SonicZeroes Heroes
Nicknames
Imbeciles, minions, blithering idiots (All from Eggman)
Age
Varies on activation date
Species
E-1001
Gender
Despite being modeled after their master, they have no true gender. However, one would assume them to all be male--even the occasional cross dresser.
Alignment
Neutral
Type
Lightweight
Character Stats
Seeing as the sizes and weapons vary, there is no set stats on the robots.
Residence:
They have no residence. They simply follow the "good" doctor wherever he goes.
Personal Relationships: (optional)
Dr. Eggman--their fearsome master, who they will obey without question.
Occupation:
They all serve as Eggman's unpaid lackeys who do all the grunt work. However, their exact purpose varies on their designs and weapons.
Moveset
Egg Pawns are all the same. While there are special "Boss-type" robots that resemble Egg Pawns, these little guys are there just for the sake of being there. While they surpass humans in strength and defensive capabilities, the only differences between them are their color and weapon. There are only three major weapons they may carry: A lance--yes, a MEDIEVAL lance--an oversized lazer pistol, and a bazooka. There are also three types of shields that can be carried with a lazer or lance. One is rectangular and stone, another is round and metal, and the most useful is round, metal, and spiked.
Special Moves
They have no special moves, being that they are simply there as ground troops.
Weaknesses:
These robots are programmed to serve Eggman. And they do this quite well. HOWEVER--because they identify the Doctor as their master, they will tend to follow anyone who resembles him, as well. Terribly foolish, they will blindly attack enemies until they hit their target...no matter how many of their own they injure in the process.
Personality
Egg Pawns are like robotic versions of Mr. Game and Watch, as they have no sense of right and wrong. They tend to attack in squads, as they only possess strength in numbers. Because of this, they feel obligated to protect their fellow machine, even if they are destroyed by the enemy. While they are normally stupid, lemming-like drones, they have a few unique characteristics. If they wait for a foe to show up a long while, they will literally fall asleep, leaving them wide open to attack. They also will, at times, interact with one another when there is no current mission. Making friends with other Pawns, fighting amongst each other simply for bumping into one another...it is all very typical of the Egg Pawns. In short, they are simpleminded common drones who half the time have little to no clue just what is going on.
Likes:
Eggman, their lord and master
Dislikes:
Anyone who opposes Lord Eggman
Appearance:
Small, red robots who bear the image of Eggman...sans the 'stache...
History:
These little guys first appeared in the "Heroes" story. After Metal locked Eggman away and took his form, the Pawns obeyed him, blissfully unaware of their master's plight. Upon learning they had been serving a traitor, they attacked. And that worked...for five minutes. Then Metal Madness appeared and they all ran away. (Presumably off the edge of the flagship, seeing how they constantly blindly rush to places. There is further evidence due to the fact that once Metal was defeated, they were -still- gone.)
They made their second stand in Shadow the Hedgehog. They made attempts to defeat the Black Arms. Surprisingly enough they fared even better then the G.U.N. did, nearly matching the invaders power-wise. The Egg Fleet also made a return.
Ever since, they have been Eggman's main ground force, despite their not being very useful. (Most likely because they bear his image.) One thing can be said about the Egg Pawns: they're just as persistent as the Doctor himself.
