Moveset:
Special Moves:
(Note: Moveset will be expanded on later. Azel indeed does have a sword with fire capabilities called, in all originality, the Fire Sword. This sword allows him to send fire bursts out, when a smash attack is used.)
Standard Attack - Fire: Pretty self descriptive. Azel shoots his palm out toward the enemy and a flame pelts them.
Upward Attack - Volcanon (R): Azel shoots his blade upward with one hand, and his other hand downward, and creates a pillar of fire, sending him upward. Fairly average recovery, not the best. Can also be turned diagonally.
Downward Attack - Elfire: Fire shoots around him and spreads out within a small radius from his body as he stabs his sword downward. Works similar to Ike's Aether, though covers more of an area and is weaker.
Side Attack - Meteo: Azel shoots out a stronger, guidable fire projectile. It's sort of a mixture between Snake's Nikita and Zelda's Din's Fire mechanics wise. It works slow, and he can't move or do anything else until he's guided it to where he wants and it explodes.
Final Smash:
Mage Knight - Azel turns into the more powerful, Mage Knight, upon smashing a smash ball. He can jump twice as high, his spells are faster, and can do more than just shoot out fire. His A attacks, all include wind. Every time he slashes his sword down, he sends out a gust of wind that goes long range in comparison to the average flame he can send out with his average smash attack. Lightning covers him and randomly sends off a jolt of electricity. Finally, his fire attacks do twice the damage. Aside from that, he's the same.
Weaknesses:
Low defense, magic attacks take time to cast, a bit indecisive, is a bit shy, can be manipulated if shown through any kind of logic that whatever the manipulator wants is right.
Personality:
Azel is a caring personality type. He'll show up to help those he loves wether he believes he'll die in battle or not. He's often very quiet to those he doesn't know. He learned magic, and uses it well. He loves to learn new things about magic, to help him on the battlefield, because in his way of looking at it...he may be brave, but he'd like to mainly be brave at a distance to ensure more safety. He's also not very fond of war itself, he'd prefer everyone to settle their issues in a more humane way.
Likes:
Peace, his friends, Aideen, Magic, Smiting things at a distance, Books, Alvis (before he went crazy, but still 'kind of' likes him because they are family).
Dislikes:
War, those who harm him or his friends, Gandolf, having to fight up close, Alvis.
Appearance:
History:
Azel, a mage and nobleman of Velthomer, Grandbell, and Descendant of Fala. He was only half related to most of his family, having been born from a different mother. Azel's father indeed had an affair with his mother's favorite maid, and thusly she was his 'real' mother. Since he wasn't actually a 'planned' child, he was sort of the family outcast. The only one who really wanted anything to do with him was his half brother, Alvis, which became a bit too overprotective over time. Alvis felt the need to make sure his brother didn't get into trouble, since Azel was only half Fala, and dubbed as 'weak'. Alvis was always the more loved of the two, having given more lessons in magic and fighting, while Azel was given more academic classes. This built his love for books, he loved his teacher like family. Alvis of course, showed Azel a few moves too, expanding on his knowledge, though Azel never learned much past fire spells and some fairly basic wind and lightning spells. Needless to say, when Alvis wasn't around, and nobody paid any attention to him, Azel would sneak out and about Velthomer.
It was in the city streets, where he met the friends which he grew to love from a nearby kingdom, Sigurd, Lex, Aideen, and Tiltyu. He would go out and meet these friends in every spare minute of his time, that is...until Alvis found out he was sneaking out. Alvis was infuriated that his brother would rather spend time with them which could possibley serve as a potential threat to him. His brother scolded him, several times, but Azel left when he could anyway. Not that he didn't love his brother, but over time Alvis seemed to grow a tad more threatening and over protective.
At about the age of 19, Azel heard of a man with blue hair, trying to fight off the forces of a man named Gandalf who had apparently taken "Aideen" into captivity. Azel knew what he had to do, help the blue haired man, which he knew right away was Sigurd, and save the woman whome he started to grow an interest in, Aideen. Before leaving, he seeked assistance from Lex, who agreed to follow him onto the battlefield. Upon arriving, Sigurd was both shocked and happy to see him. After greeting each other, they promptly took care of Gandalf and his men, and saved Aideen. On the battlefield was his brother, Alvis. Azel wanted to stick around with Sigurd, but didn't know how to say so to his brother. Alvis was impressed by how much Azel had grown though, so he did no more than give him his blessings, and returned home to Velthomer.
Azel then spent the next year of his life battling alongside the ones he called friends.Azel: I fight for my friends! Sigurd lead the group to victory every time they had to fight, and everything went smoothly for a while. As time grew on, he finally built up the courage to tell Aideen how much he loved her and married her. Though even though things were going good for him, things were different for his brother Alvis...
Alvis had grown twisted due to the war. He wanted nothing more than 'peace', plain and simple. In order for him to have obtained his goal he relied on Velthomer's military, but that alone wasn't enough, because he needed all of Grandbell's might. He turned to Dark Sect in order to cause chaos within the kingdoms. This, of course, caused everyone to suddenly turn against Sigurd. At this point, Alvis proved himself to the king by finding his missing daughter and becoming her fiancé. During the battle of Bahara, Alvis stayed with the king waiting for Sigurd to come so he could wipe him out, and succeed once the time was right, but although he could not kill Sigurd...he sperated everyone that he was fighing along side with, and managed to take back his brother from the group.
Afterwards, Alvis killed the king, seized control of Grandbell, and began his reign of peace. However, along the way Alvis strayed away from his ideals of peace. He ruled the kingdom with an iron fist. The people turned into slaves over the years, bandits ruled the lands, the knights were no longer seen as great role models, and the kingdom pretty much went into shambles. Alvis even allowed Dark Sect to do ritualistic Child Hunts, to revive the Dark Demon Lopt. Either way, he wasn't a very good king. Azel was soon sent to the prisons to rot, and supposedly died...though of course all he did was escape, and found a new home in a kingdom that would take him in after hearing his story, Crimea. After arriving, the princess Elincia befriended him and allowed him to stay.
Now Azel lives in Crimea, completely unaware of how his friends are doing, or even where they are, including his wife Aideen...and his two children that he doesn't even know about.
