Name:
Yuri Lowell (No no, not Yuri Lowenthal XD)
Game of Origin:
Nintendo Appearance:
Namco Character
Nicknames:
Mr Sexy *gasp* Are you an impostor?! (Skit between him and Estelle), Bark! (Repede) Kid (Raven when they first met) Or just Yuri would work.
Age:
21 (and still looks good! ;D)
Species:
Human

Male

Character Stats:
No no no, don't look here! D:>
Residence:
Has a home in Zaphia's Lower Quarter, but almost always is out there on an adventure.
Personal Relationships: (optional)
Estelle: The two of them seemed to have grown close, during their travels together. It's almost to the point where people question their relationship together.
Repede: The two of them are living proof of "man's best friend". Repede is Yuri's loyal and reliable pet, sort of like Lloyd's Noishe. But unlike Noishe, Repede can actually fight in battle alongside his master.
Karol: Throughout the journey, Yuri and Karol develop a sort of brotherly bond together. Yuri really acts like the older brother, not only protecting the boy from some danger but playing fun little pranks on him too.
Rita: Yuri finds Rita a little misunderstood, they seem to clash a little but sometimes opposites can make a great team together.
Raven: Every group needs a wiseman, Raven is it. Yuri seemed to have doubts about Raven around the time he sold them out a few times, but later on Raven proved to be quite a large asset to Yuri's adventure.
Judith: These two are a lot a like, when Yuri and Judith broke out of prison together they did quite well together. So Yuri and Judith both have good synergy.
Flynn: Friends since childhood and former knight partners, Flynn is Yuri's best friend despite him denying it from time to time. Yuri and Flynn both made a promise to fight for the people, regardless of the paths they took. However when Flynn used politics while Yuri goes beyond the law to help people, they have been in some small strife. But despite all that, Yuri and Flynn are still very close and can fight well with each other in a pinch.
Occupation:
Guild Member of Brave Vesperia.
Moveset:
Physical Abilities:
-Yuri is healthy and light on his feet, can get right into the action of things and really put up one heck of a fight.
-Very strong too, if you need some physical work done then Yuri's your man. He's no Donkey Kong though.
-Speed his Yuri's middle name, he's almost as fast as an Olympic jogger when he's in action.
Learned Abilities:
-Yuri developed his own sword-style that seems to be a combination between the knight's style and his own style, a bit on the reckless side but it gets the job done quite nicely.
-When Yuri started out his journey, he was simply an under average chef. But after training under the Wonder Chef by learning from his recipes, Yuri has become quite the cook.
-Like most people, he can swim.
Special Moves:
Yuri is a special kind of warrior, he works with a rare ability called a Limit Gage. When it fills up he can change his basic moveset for a more advanced one. The only way to fill it up is to get a few successful hits.
Yuri's Limit Gage: 0/6
When it hits 6 then Yuri activates his Overlimit form, which allows him to use his advanced moveset.
Yuri's Basic Moveset
Standard Attack - Azure Edge
Yuri's most basic skill, he swings his sword across the wind firing off a sphere of air at his enemies.
- Can travel above the ground fairly quick.
- Can deal some decent damage, roll of 5.
- Projectile type attack, so it is possible to reflect.
Upward Attack - Wailing Blast(R)
Yuri swings his sword on the ground hard, the impact forces his enemy in the air while he jumps toward him slashing at them while falling back after the 4th cut.
- Yuri's first swing is 6, while the other 3 slashes are 5. If the first one misses then the rest is ignored.
- When using this in the air, Yuri skips his first slash and ends up going to his other 3 slashes instead. They are all still 5 rolls.
Downward Attack - Crushing Eagle
Yuri thrusts his sword into the ground, causing a massive shockwave around him.
-The shockwave is short range, but causes major damage to anyone in range. Roll of 7, and effects everyone around him.
Side Attack - Cerberus Strike
Yuri punches his enemy with his free hand rapidly.
-Yuri punches about 4 times, each having a roll of 5.
Yuri's Advanced Moveset
Standard Attack - Azure Blast
An advanced version of Azure Edge. Yuri slams down his sword causing a massive shock wave at the enemy.
-Loses its long range, but has a stronger roll of 7.
Upward Attack - Severing Fang(R)
Yuri swings his sword up, sending his enemy in the air. Then he jumps above them slamming his sword down at them.
-If the first attack misses, the 2nd one is negated. Each slash has a roll of 6.
-The 2nd attack can cause a meteor smash if used right.
-Can also be used in the air, and the move stays intact.
Downward Attack - Ghost Wolf
Yuri uses a short flash step while thrusting through his enemies, when he is behind them he finishes with a wide slash at their backs.
-Even if the first slash is dodged, it doesn't mean the 2nd one is stopped. Unless the dodge/block roll prevents it.
-The first roll is 6, while the last is 7.
Side Attack - Dragon Swarm
Yuri takes his sword and swings madly at his enemy, while rolling his sword behind his back. A medley of sword attacks is brought in fast.
-Yuri swings his sword 7 times, but each swing is a 5 roll.

Downward Taunt - Yuri flips his sword back in its sheath sighing and saying: That all ya got?
Side Taunt - Yuri points his sword out to his enemy smirking and says: Resound oh cry of victory!
Final Smash:
Oh brilliant blade of coldest steel...
...Rend the infinite darkness...
...And crush my enemies to nothing...
SAVAGE WOLF FURY!
Yuri's ultimate attack, Savage Wolf Fury. This attack can only be done with the help of a beloved Smash Ball, once destroyed Yuri floods the entire battlefield with shadows that halves everyone's sight. In addition to this, Yuri also gets enhanced speed and strength. Which he demonstrates by attacking the enemy with multiple slashes and flash steps from all sides. Then finishes it up with a single powerful swing, cutting through the everlasting darkness and dealing massive damage to the enemies before him. But does Yuri have the heart to look over and speak out: "Are you alright?" ...perhaps not. ^^
- This attack lasts for 3 turns, during those three turns Yuri's attack rolls are enhanced up to 8, and he deals 5 strikes for two of the first turns. The final turn lets him slash one last time with double the attack power, which racks up to 16.
- The enemies attack dice are halved by 2.
- After Savage Wolf Fury ends, Yuri reverts to his basic moveset if he was in overlimit form. And his overlimit Gage reverts back to zero.
Weaknesses:
Yuri often speaks his mind a little too often then actually called for, and this can almost always land him in a world of trouble. Yuri also prefers style over boring work, his slashes take some time to actually do sometimes. His Overlimit also takes some time to boot up to speed in order to use, and once it if full it takes Yuri a cruel agonizing turn to actually get into Overlimit form. This puts him in an open state. Yuri will also go above and beyond the call of duty to help those who need it, even if it means breaking the law and sacrificing himself. Pretty big on denial too, when he wants to be right he is stubborn to actually stay right.
Personality:
Unlike most Tales of heroes, Yuri's personality is quite unique at first glance; the best word to sum him up would be playful. He has a lot of flair and an aura of fun about him, these qualities allow ol Yuri here to get along with just about anyone. He's also on the sarcastic side a lot, he loves to joke around and even play some pranks on his buddies once in a while.
In serious times, he's still a bit of a joker, but for the most part he can be a heroic man when he needs to be. Yuri always has a sense of duty around his heart, he can offer his services to anyone in need of it, as long as they're in the right. For the most part he is calm, but when the law gets involved or someone abuses their power Yuri can get slightly pissed. In the end though, Yuri is a kind and caring individual who is willing to go to the limit to help a friend, thats just the kind of guy he is. ^^
Likes:
His friends, helping people in a pinch, battle( although he doesn't like to admit it), swords, cooking, himself (only a little bit though...), Zaphia, playing by his own rules. B)
Dislikes:
Greedy people, the Imperial Knights, Leblanc and friends, when Flynn is in his "mood", Law enforcers, when his wanted posters were marked too low.
Appearance:
The man of the hour himself, Yuri Lowell.
Yes, our friend Yuri here knows how to shop for style. He doesn't need a giant grungy suit of armor or pants that could sport enough pockets to put in 50 swords. Yuri is sporting a black elbow length thin layered jacket with beautiful insignias and pattern designs around the torso and chest, the cup lings around the sleeves are a lovely violet. The jacket stretches back far enough to cover his back legs, and with the combination of the black sash with a yellow design around it gives the aura of a samurai to Mr Lowell. The pants are average but works quite well, flexible yet sturdy enough to move around quickly in. His white boots are custom designed, with its white braces at the start for easy slip on and its 6 buttons on each side to keep the footwear well secure while giving Yuri's feet a snug feeling. He also has a Bodhi blastia bracelet on his left wrist, to allow him to use combat artes in battle.
Finally, the sword Yuri uses is a custom ordered weapon too. The blade is designed to have a certain sheen to it, single edged while curved to give it the appearance of a Japanese katana. The handle of the sword is slightly longer, which might allow good reach but can be difficult to draw, however Yuri's draw method comes from a quick flick of the wrist and arm, almost thrusting the sheath off of the blade and into the wielder's hands. So the handle is no problem. It also has a sash around the sheath in order to allow the blade to be easily carried around by one hand, the entire design is almost similar to the Wado sword. So thats the fashion secrets of Yuri Lowell.
History:
...This universe has many worlds...
And although many have its similarities,
this one shines quite brightly among most of them, thanks to it's grand tales.
The Tales, of Vesperia.
Yuri Lowell grew up in the kingdom of Zaphia's lower quarter, along with his best friend Flynn Scifo. Yuri and Flynn despised the knights' way, so they decided to join up and try to change the system. After a few short months however, Yuri began to realize that the way of the knights will never change, so he quit while Flynn continued down the path of knighthood. Since that day, Yuri has been following his own code of justice, which turns to a life of crime somewhat.
One day, the lower quarter's Aque Blastia core was stolen, causing the water Blastia to lose control and start to flood the town. With trouble like this, Yuri couldn't just stand idly by. He tracked the thief down as best as he could, until it lead him inside the imperial court and in a prison cell. When he broke out he encountered Estelle, the princess of Zaphia. Estelle requested Yuri's help in finding Flynn, so they ended up traveling together in order to help each other's goals. Find Flynn, and the Blastia thief.
Along with Repede, Yuri's loyal companion and Estelle...
(Repede)
(Estelle)
Yuri gained more allies as they continued on.
Karol Kapell
Rita Mordio
Raven
And Judith.
And with their help, and Flynn's assistance, they took back the Aque Blastia from the thief and stopped a major crisis. Shortly after, Yuri formed a guild with Karol and the others, Brave Vesperia, and carried out a special job for Estelle, investigating a talking monster.
(Slightly modded from a wiki history)
As the group recovers, Rita discovers that Estelle does not actually use her blastia to cast healing artes. Estelle comes to learn that she is the Child of the Full Moon, and an omen for impending disaster to the planet.Judith leads the group to the home of the Krytia, who explain that the Child of the Full Moon, if used as a tool, could bring forth Adephagos, a being that feeds of aer and would convert all life on the planet back into pure aer due to their use of blastia; the group is encouraged to kill Estelle as soon as possible to prevent this from happening. As the group comes to terms with the revelation, Raven — revealed to be the Imperial Knight Captain Schwann — steals Estelle and takes her to Alexei. Alexei is able to take control of Estelle's power, preventing the group from killing her, and is able to summon forth the Shrine of Zaude from her power. Raven has a change of heart and regroups with the team as they chase Alexei to the Shrine. Before Yuri can slay him, Alexei damages the huge blastia at the top of the Shrine, which causes Adephagos to break through a shield surrounding the planet and send tentacle-like appendages across the planet. As the group recovers, Duke appears to state his intention to help destroy the Adephagos by using the life force of all the humans.
The group comes up with strategy for stopping the disaster but at a cost; by creating spirits of the elements, they will be able to convert all the blastia in the world to an energy weapon that can destroy Adephagos. But before this operation takes place, Flynn speaks to Yuri about their life choices. Yuri then decides to pick up a challenge with him.
The group decides to push forward with the plan and work their way through a large shrine that Duke has activated, meeting Duke at the top. The group is able to defeat Duke, and Yuri attempts to convince him that all humans are willing to give up blastia to stop Adephagos. Duke recognizes Yuri's honesty and assists the group; the combined power of the spirits and the converted blastia slide Adephagos in two and destroy it. The world is able to recover and rebuild, now relying on their own technology instead of that of the blastia.
(Post Smash history)
Yuri suddenly found himself sucked into a portal of some sort when he was traveling the world again, and ended up in the world of Smash. Now This World will see one of the greatest warriors join the battle.
Anything else? (Optional)
Lowell means wolf cub, which is pretty ironic for Yuri.
