Finally the enemy had arrived...all banged up and injured might I add. Most of the Pig Masks barely stood, and some of the healthy ones were even running off inside the kingdom, dropping their weapons and waving their arms. "AH, run?!"
@suey@ "What!? Where are you going, FOOLS!" The upset assassin started stomping on the ground, couldn't anything go right for the man today?
The princess came out of the castle to the three warriors, and looked over Ike's shoulder at more figures riding through the entrance. "That banner, could it be...Geoffrey!" Crimea's princess called out, with a look of hope returned to her face.
And just like Elincia said, a knight rode up past the fleeing Pig Masks, thrusting his Brave Lance through the enemy, turning him into a trophy. "Onward, Crimean Knights. Don't let a single one escape! We are the shield of Crimea, we cannot fail!"
"HAAAAA!"
And with the rally cry in the air, more mounted knights swooped in the castle town, taking care of the remnants of the Pig Mask Army.
@suey@ "Damn, damn DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!" Pouted the rather loud sneaker. "FINE! Keep your crummy kingdom, for now. But mark my words, you'll all rue this day, RUEEEE!" And just like that, the man ran away squealing off.
With the battle's victory sealed, Geoffrey unmounted his noble steed and up to Elincia and Ike. He knelled down on his shin and bowed to his princess. "Your highness, please forgive my absence; I didn't expect our training mission to be delayed. But rest assured..."
"It's alright Geoffrey, I am just glad to see you came in the end." Elincia told him, with a bright look on her face. Whenever she loses all hope, her loyal retainers are always there to return resolve to her heart.
The mercenary decided to let the two be, and walk away from the conversation. He looked around as the knights ran around, helping the innocent out of homes, and capturing the trophies of the fallen enemies. The war was over..."..." But the true battle had just begun. The swordsman approached the Black Knight, knowing what was going to happen next.
The girl knew what was about to happen too, as she looked up between the men. "There are quite a few villagers injured, I shall go and lend my hand to the cause." She bowed to the knight. "I hope to see you again, Sir Knight." Micaiah rose up and walked off, she didn't want to see what was about to happen with the two, so she left before the two could begin.
With all the bystanders gone, Ike looked to the knight. But not with the same glare as before, believe it or not he calmed down a bit...just a bit though. "Why did you come to the capital's aid, I thought your goal before was to support Daein, our enemy." Ike had remembered in the Mad King's War, that the Black Knight was one of Daein's Four Riders, the highest ranking general. And during the war, this man had done everything in his power to aid the evil king's ambitions. Ike had no idea what he was trying to gain through it, but he had assumed he was just fighting for his homeland. Or perhaps it was the glory of war that made this knight choose his side, all of these possibilities filled the mercenary's head for a year now.
