"So, two beings broke into the labs, and one....what?" "Uh, one, sir, crafted in a strange...toy robot that fired a ray gun that turned people into...urm, breakfast meals." ".......and...what of the people that were turned into.....um..." "The effects were temporarily, sir." Walking down the halls, along with some military officials, was an elderly dog in general attire. "Good! I want the city scouted, and if you see any trace of a monkey-grafted head, you nab em with no questions." "Yes sir!" and one of the officials ran off. "And you say this feline might be an accomplice?" "Well she was in the labs along with that mutant, sir. We have her in the interrogation room."

Irony is a cruel mistress, to be found in an interrogation room where Blaze refuses to even cough out a single secret of her Emeralds or standing. She just sat there on the chair, legs and arms crossed, waiting for the inevitable. Her clothes were still a bit moist but her fur was mostly dry, but her wet gloves still prevent her from using her power. "..." She passed the time by looking around the room...nothing but lights, walls and a door. Quite a sight for sore eyes, no?

"So that's her, huh?" he asked, watching the cat from the one-view mirror. "The officers hardly got a word out of her." "I see," rubbing his chin, the general wondered what her attentions were. And more importantly, how would they get anything from her. Something about this young girl...just doesn't seem quite mentally harmful. Of course the reports say that she seemed to wield fire abilities, so he'll need to approach this carefully. "I'll have a talk with her." "You sure, sir?" "Yes, sure," the canine walked through the sliding doors, entering the lone room Blaze was in. Taking a chair, he moved it under his rear. "Well...what do we have here?"

When the general entered the room and sat down, Blaze looked him in the eye. "!" Then flinched back a bit. Dogs, why did it have to be dogs? The princess could feel some distant instincts kicking in swiftly, she almost felt like jumping in a tree and hissing. However, she grabbed a hold of herself, shook her head, then turned her head away from Pepper. "..."

"So..." he began, with a sigh. His fingers were clasped together, as the old dog tried to be calm and, surprisingly for a well-respected stern officer, care-free. "Couple of lab associates tell me you were snooping around in a military lab when it was evacuated, and at the same time, an insane man, with a bizarre monkey head, broke in."

Pepper would be better off talking to the wall, because Blaze didn't utter anything out but: "..."

Smirking, he rested his elbows on the table, trying to keep up with the comforting aura about him. "Some of my men had their suspicions that you were an in ca-hoots with that quack. Now I've been living for a good long time, obviously, and I like to think of myself as a good judge of character..." The officers left Blaze a plate of donuts. They say they do that for a reason. If the person doesn't even touch it, they're guilty. He checked to see if she even nibbled a bite of one of them.

Well the truth of the matter was, Blaze wasn't hungry. Plus she had never eaten donuts before, too much fat will make the cat kitten round. Although, Pepper saying if she was in "ca-hoots" with the mad man finally got her attention. She turned her head to Pepper quickly. "I have nothing to do with that freak of nature." Well it was a short answer, but at least it was something.

"That may obviously be," Perhaps even the common thugs wouldn't get mixed up with that...'person'. "But still, I don't suppose you'll tell me your intentions for being in a restricted lab center?"

"I see no reason to...!" Then her head jerked over to a wall. She looked like she was giving it a blank stare, but in actuality she was trying to track something down. "No, it's getting further!" She jumped out of her seat and blurted out aloud. The Sol Emerald signal was indeed getting weaker, and Blaze's Patience was growing thinner along with it.

"What is?" he asked, keeping his hand over his pocket. If she even tried to escape, he'll press a signal remote that will call soldiers to his location to keep her contained.

Looking over at the general, Blaze knew she didn't have much time. On one hand, if she even succeeded in bursting her way to freedom she would be wanted by this army. But on the other, these people had the Sol Emerald, they must have used it in some dark experiments and want it back. "..." Oh well, seems like Blaze had to let out her secret...if only a little bit. She sat back down, and looked him in the eye. "Listen, I have to get out of here as soon as possible. I entered your facility because I sensed a treasure of my home world here, but now it is stolen by someone and leaving my sight. That is the only reason I came here."

Treasure...? The labs didn't have anything like a treasure...except that gem they found outside the city. That jewel was said to emit energy signatures similar to the ones found on Sonic the Hedgehog when turns into his super form. They weren't really sure if it was a Chaos Emerald, for it was square shaped. This young one seems to know about it. "Hm...treasure?...You mean that...Chaos Emerald?"

"!" When he said "Chaos Emerald" just now, the princess looked at him with a surprised expression. "How do you know about...ugh, never mind!" She figured someone like Sonic couldn't keep the Chaos Emeralds well hidden, but then she started to sweat. 'It's true, both Emeralds exist in this world. That means that...' She started to trail back to the worst case scenario back in Chaos, where the two opposing groups of gems clashed at each other and nearly brought both worlds to an end. All the more reason to tell him, she thought. "It's not a Chaos Emerald, it's a Sol Emerald, and I need it back as soon as possible." Blaze did her best to maintain a professional outer appearance.

"I see..." Yes, it does sound like she knew all about this emerald. However, that doesn't really mean she had noble reason for them. For what he could know, she might be a spy or some sort...that didn't made a very good effort in sneaking in, but still... "Well my men, as we speak, are already pursuing the one responsible for stealing the gem, but I can't just give you the gem unless you have some proof it belongs to you."
