[dice=6] "?!" Jay was too close to the fire, and held up her arms screaming at the burning sensation. "GAAAAH!" She rolled back, but strangely didn't have any burns...unfortunetly her dress was on fire. "!" Jay was rolling around like mad, trying to get it out. After the rolling, she sat up sighing, her dress mostly burned showing a bit of her black sports bra and biker shorts. "Huh...weird..." She looked at her limbs. Just as Jay said that, everything grew cold. Everyone within the castle would feel numb with cold, and even see their own breath. The windows of the castle were now fogged up and blurry. The temperature got so progressively cold that the windows cracked shattered. Ice began to pour in from the windows like a frozen waterfall, being carefully crafted. The ice progressively made its way to the center of the room, next to Bowser. Then...everything was silent... That is, until icicles began to portrude from the floor like spikes all around the beast, trapping him and him alone in a battle zone. The ice was so cold, that if he would ever make contact with it, he would be frozen as well. Opposing Bowser, to his back, the floor began to freeze. Out of the floor rose a figure, seemingly composed of ice and quite quickly taking shape. Before the Koopa King now stood the one and only...  Sub-Zero. "King Bowser. I, on behalf of the Lin Kuei and the Princess named Peach, have been ordered to assassinate you. I, Sub-Zero, Mortal Kombat Champion. Challenge you to Mortal Kombat." His eyes glowed an ominous blue as he took one step forward and one step back. His arms reached back, forming a ball of ice in his hands. "Fight!" Bowser, to his credit, seemed to ignore the cold. He didn't even shiver. Being a fire-breathing dragon turtle helps make some climate issues fairly simple to ignore. He DID, however, see the ice. Then, he turned as Sub Zero spokee, the ninja's comments taking a moment to register. Besides, he had to admit... that was a pretty good entrance. Then he saw the ball coming at him. [dice=6] Unfortunately... fire beats ice, which Bowser demonstrated by VAPORIZING the ball, then lowered his head enough to make the flames hit the ground, then be deflected up, AT Sub-Zero. [dice=6] Just as ice can be melted, fire can be put out. When he saw Bowser's flames headed for his body, he shot another ice ball that ended up freezing all the flames coming toward him. It would be wise for Bowser to stop breathing the fire now before the frost reached his mouth. Sub-Zero's eyebrows turned downward. He was all too familiar with this technique. A technique used by his brother's killer, Scorpion. Having been reminded of Scorpion, Sub-Zero began to wonder if he was some beast turned spectre, much like Scorpion himself. He didn't think on it too much though. There was a fight on his hands, and a job that had to be cleared before he could move on. "Strength of the Gods!" Sub-Zero shot his arms upward, which created an icy ray above Bowser's head. This icy ray began to create an ice nugget, bigger than the Koopa himself. As she heard the name Peach, but that thought, and the fight between Bowser and the new warrior (and the fact that he was a manly dude), was all desolved as all of Jay's thoughts shifted madly toward one subject. Sport's Bra Biker Shorts Really freaking cold and sudden blizzard. SHE WAS FREEZING. The poor girl hugged herself, trying to keep herself warm and growled. "What the hell?!" She could see her breath as she spokee. |

With that, Jay ran as quickly as she could away from the fight. 'It's way too cold here anyway, I gotta find Lanzer!' With a turn around a corner, she was gone. |
