"Uh..."
Link looked at Laharl, then at his entourage of...stuffed animals?...then at Midna.
"What is going on?"
Midna sighed. "Yeah, right, him. Link, that's Laharl. He's some sorta demon nobility from what I gathered."
Cue the confused blinking.
"A demon? Really?"
He reached behind himself, unsheathed the Master Sword, and held it upright in front of him as he studied its blade.
"That's weird...the sword isn't reacting to him." Link looked back at Midna. "You sure he's a demon?"
"Yeah, pretty sure. You think he's faking it?"
"Dunno...Shad told me that the Master Sword measures the content of one's heart and reacts based on that. I figured a demon would be evil and cruel, through and through, but..."
An amused smirk crossed Midna's face. "So he's...an honorable demon? Could've fooled me, the way he's treating his serfs..."
Watching said serf abuse, Link's expression turned serious.
"...We don't have time for this."
He sheathed the Master Sword and stepped forward, clearing his throat and making one loud clap with his hands. "If I could have everyone's attention? Good, thanks."
He pointed over his shoulder at the mall with his thumb. "Something bad just happened here -- some sort of laser weapon blasted through the place. There's a lot of injured people inside. Officer Zero and I did what we could, but this really is a job better suited to the Chanseys. Did any of them come with you?"
"Officer Zero...?" Midna muttered, taking a peek at the strangely-armored blond man standing off to the side. He was the only one here she hadn't been introduced to yet. "What a weird uniform..."
