The Jungle. Quiet, serene, yet wild. A mute exhilarance seemed to course through the very flora, bursting through with brilliant colors and humid, mysterious smells. Among the trees, the vines, and the warm pools of water, the fauna here radiated with beauty and mystique. Rarely seen, but always heard, they gave off a sense of wonder and foreboding. The Jungle was a lonely place, yet filled with the sounds of a thousand living things. Chaos was the Jungle's order, always in equilibrium. It was here where one would find a rather weird-looking creature. It was lemon yellow, mouse-like, but far too large to be any sort of rodent like a mouse. Its jagged tail waved delicately in the air, colored burnt sienna near the base. Two similar-hued stripes wrapped around its back, and its long and narrow black-tipped ears twitched as it listened to the sounds of the jungle. Large, round eyes showed its curious nature, along with its tiny black nose wiggling in the air. It had two red cheeks, which seemed to well compliment the pair of electric blue goggles that laid upon its head.  The Pikachu in question was currently wandering through the Jungle, towards a certain but enigmatic destination. What was so unknown about this journey was what the noise had been caused by, for the Pikachu had most certainly heard a noise. It was what had woken the Pikachu up from his comfy nap. Curiosity tugging at him like a leash, the Pikachu padded onward, determined to find out what that crashing noise had been. He was almost there, he was sure of it. And then he saw it. Amidst a small clearing, in the middle of a small crater, was a trophy. Pikachu blinked, nonplussed. It didn't look like anyone he had ever seen before. Confused, Pikachu walked up and sniffed the trophy. He then wrinkled his nose and backed away- it smelled like sulfur! Deciding to figure out who this was, how they ended up as a trophy in the Jungle, if they were like that blue rodent Pikachu saw attack Tabuu, and why the hell they smelled like sulfur, Pikachu took a paw, and slapped it down on the base of the trophy. |

The Jungle was quite a beautiful place, full of peace, serenity and balance...time to ruin it!  Coming from the blue skies, from a far off destination, was none other then the trophy of the evil demon overlord, Laharl. The same Laharl that just got his demonic butt handed to him in the Midair Stadium by a few heroes, since then he has been rocketing though the skies like a shuttle. But this trophy's long trek was brought to an abrupt end, when gravity decided to finally bring him down into the jungle...hard. Making a crater in the ground, and scaring off some unsuspecting birds, the trophy simply stood there standing on its base. Laharl was still sealed...until the curious little electric mouse came up and pawed at the trophy's base. Its actions made the trophy glow brightly, forming into an interesting figure... The blue haired demon boy sat up rubbing his head. "Ngh felt like I took another two year nap..." Laharl shook off his long sleep yawning, and looking around the jungle, well this was a new twist! One second he was in the arena fighting heroic fighters, and the next hes in the jungle filled with crazy creatures left and right. Speaking of which, Laharl finally noticed Pikachu and looked at him still on his bottom. "Huh, who the hell're you?" The Overlord asked the Pokémon. |

"Pikachu!" Pikachu happily replied. This person, whoever they were, seemed okay. The Pok?mon then lifted an arm, wanting to shake hands with Laharl. He'd ask questions after he figured out if this.... whoever he was... could understand Poke'lingo. |

Laharl stood up forgetting about the little Pok?mon's hand shake gesture, and kept peering his eyes around the jungle. "Pikachu huh, I dunno what you did, but you have my thanks for releasing me from my sleeping state." With a smirk he pumped his fist. "Now I gotta find out where I am, and get my revenge on those idiots!" He was about to walk off...but stopped and looked at Pikachu. "Wait a sec..." The Overlord came up to the Pikachu looking at it in the eyes. "...What in the Netherworld?!" What an odd creature this was, Laharl hadn't seen anything so cutesy, but still had that destructive aura around it. |

"Pika." Pikachu replied, shrugging in a way as if to say 'no biggie'. But then he was surprised to find that this guy was now inspecting him rather closely. Well, if he wasn't from This World, then he probably had a reason to be curious. But it was his turn now to be curious; he still didn't know this blue-haired kid's name. "Pika, pika-pi pikachu?" He asked, first tapping his chest and then pointing at Laharl. |

Laharl looked at Pikachu, confused as a lost boy with no sense of direction. "Is that all you can say? Sucks like hell if ya ask me..." So Laharl crossed his arms trying to decipher Pikachu's poke lingo. "Hmm...you want something from me?" He asked the little rodent. |

"Chaa..." he sighed in reply to the whole 'is that all you can say' issue. It was SO much easier to talk with other Pok?mon... mostly because they understood him. Pikachu then nodded his head vigorously in response to the second question, though it seemed that this guy hadn't quite caught on to what he wanted. Pikachu then pointed to himself, and said "Pi-ka-chu." He then pointed at Laharl, and cocked his head in a questioning manner. |

The overlord twitched and scratched his head madly in frustration. "GAH, when did I agree to play charades with you?!" But his competitive spirit wouldn't let him quit. He studied Pikachu's movements and repeated them though his head over and over again, until some rusty gears in his head finally went like clockwork! With a snap he smirked. "AHA, I finally got it!" He stood proudly with his red, torn scarf flowing in the wind. "My little friend, find a place to run and hide. For I am Laharl, supreme Overlord! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" He did his trademark evil laugh. |

Huzzah! A name! And judging by that slightly creepy overlordish laugh, he seemed pretty confident in his abilities... even though Pikachu had just found him as a trophy, which meant that Laharl must have been beaten by somebody. "Pika-CHU!?" Pikachu asked condencendingly, hands on his hips and with a smug look on his face that suggested that Pikachu was confident himself. Small sparks began to play across the electric pouches on his cheeks. |

The overlord saw the sparks emit from Pikachu's pouches, he jumped looking surprised. "Whoa, you can make electricity?!" For someone whos seen and fought though thousands of demons with crazy abilities that would make Smash bros look like kids playing tag, he was somehow surprised that his rodent can actually fight with lightning. But Laharl shook his shock off and smirked. "You seem pretty confident indeed Pikachu, I like you, you got spirit." The overlord pointed at himself. "How about you be my vassal, your already more useful and a certain group of idiots." |

The electric sparks stopped as another emotion came over Pikachu. Confusion. "Pika?" the electric mouse tilted his head, nonplussed. |

When he saw Pikachu's confused look, the Overlord sighed. "Ah never mind, should've known a good thing never stays good." He stretched out and looked around the Jungle. "Anyway, beside that point. I gotta get outta this place." The demon boy started to walk in a certain direction, but had a lost look on his face. "Oh great..." |

Pikachu had a bemused look on his face as he saw the lost look on Laharl's face. That was because, due South, was Smash City. It had been restored after Tabuu was defeated, and so it was an excellent place for Newcomers to get their bearings. "Piikachuu!" Pikachu called out, waving his little arms to catch Laharl's attention. |

The demon boy kept looking around not noticing Pikachu. "Hmm let me see...if moss grows on the tree here, and the sunsets at...um...GAH?!?!" Laharl screams out as his eyes lit up bright yellow, and his two hair tufts sprang up straight. "OH SCREW THAT, I don't know squat about where I am?!" He had his back turned to Pikachu, so he couldn't notice his waving. |

Growling, and making a rather unhappy face at being ignored, Pikachu darted up to Laharl, and began tugging excessively at the overlord's clothing. "PIIIKAAACHUU! D<" |
