Smash City: Charge It!

Link looked briefly surprised at Zero's suggestion. "Wait, what?"

Then everybody began splitting up before he could say anything. "Whoa, hey, wait!" He called out, reaching out an arm to the retreating figures. "I...I thought we were..." His gaze lingered on Roll for a second before it snapped down to the ground in front of him.

Link sighed, masking his reddening face by covering it with one hand. Why was he getting all flustered, anyway? That X guy looked capable. He could protect Roll just fine, to say nothing of that Koopa lady...

He shook his head to get rid of the nonsense, turning to glance down the path X had directed them towards. "Well, all right then, I guess we're moving out."

He looked over his shoulder at Zero as he began walking down the hall. "You'll definitely need to tell me how your sword works on the way over there. Did you get it crafted by a legendary mage-smith, or are you just REALLY good with magic?"

Roll turned to follow her newfound brother, if he actually WAS her brother, which was sounding more and more likely... But not without a small glance over her shoulder back at Link as he started to protest them splitting up. But b the time she'd turned, he was already getting ready to head the other direction.

"Don't worry, we'll be right back!"

And Beat just chirped to himself as he fluttered his wings a little.

Zero had been all set to start walking towards the end of the mall X directed him to, as Link asked about his sword. This guy thought it was MAGIC? Oh boy... this needed to be cleared up.

"Actually, it's not magic. I'll explain on the way." Or try to. This is gonna be fun.

So, with the clanking of his metal boots, he headed towards the other end of the mall.

Unnoticed by everyone, Kirby finally realized he was alone when he tripped over a piece of concrete and dove headfirst into the floor, the sound echoing about the empty room.

"Uwah?" He blinked, wondering where all the tall people had gone. With a frown, he wracked his simple mind for an explanation.

Maybe they'd been kidnapped, just like that one time! Oh no! Kirby hopped to his feet and began running down the hall Link had taken. He had to find them before it was too late!
