I think it's something to do with the fact that we want to keep the characters as those who originally appeared in videogames. While Sora and the other original characters in the Kingdom Hearts games meet this requirement, the fact that they have such deep conections with non-game characters caused some debate. Would Sora be able to talk about Donald and Goofy? Would King Mickey be appable? Could Toon Link wind up crossing swords with Jack Sparrow? If this was a case of it being a crossover cameo (like Spawn or Yoda in Soul Calibur), then we could just ban the Disney characters (sorry, guys, we still love you!) and let the game characters stay. However, in KH, the crossover is so essential to the plot we can't just do this without taking out some of the "essence" of the original characters. In the end, I guess it was figured that it would be easier to dodge the issue entirely by slamming the Ban-Hammer down on the entire KH franchise. Sorry.

I already apped another OC, anyway. And I still have two other characters waiting to get approved, so I got some time on my hands.

Due to a conversation with Stoney a few days ago, may I also call dibs on Saria? T_T I miss playing her so damn much. This won't be exactly the same, but it's sure better than nothing.

Are you referring to the Reploid or the variable? Because the latter would be hilarious.
I think I might app Zero, but not his MMX form -- his MMZ form. I'm much more familiar with it than the original.

Would Carmen Sandiego be able to apply as? Considering she started out as a character in a Computer Game, it wouldn't be a problem I hope.

It'd have to be a Nintendo computer, as I understand it. She HAD to have had some obscure NES game though, ne? The NES had one of everything except for Sonic. XD

And not only that, but the original "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" from 1985 does not only have a NES version, but a SNES version as well! She should be good to go, but I'll still finish...
Wait a minute! *Also checks if Starcraft is available on Nintendo* YES! Starcraft is available for Nintendo 64! Sucess! I can continue with Zeratul! And after him, I'll go on with the international thief Carmen Sandiego.
Edit: Ok, so just to simplify my choice of action:
I currently reserve three characters: Zeratul & Tassadar (WIP); Carmen Sandiego (To Be Started); Tassadar (To Be NPCd)
Tassadar was added after I "accidentaly" thought of a good way of adding him into the RP.
