Name:
Meta Knight
Game of Origin:
Kirby's Adventure
Nintendo Appearance:
NES
Nicknames:
None
Age:
Unknown
Species:
Dream Lander
Gender:
Male.
Alignment:
Neutral
Type:
Lightweight
Character Stats:
[[Omitted until administration says otherwise.]]
Residence:
The Halberd
Personal Relationships:
Kirby - A "rival" of Meta Knight's, although he has been known to aid the puffball when the need arises.
King Dedede - Uncertain, though it is possible that, at certain points, Meta -has- worked for this greedy King of Dream Land. However, just like with Kirby, he is easily as much a friend as he can be a foe.
(Not really.. certain about the duo-moves or anything. I'll work those out later if I happen to get accepted.)
Occupation:
Leader of the Meta Knights
Moveset:
Special Moves: (Mandatory)
Mach Tornado - A vortex of mach speed sword slashes!
Shuttle Loop - A move which slices upwards into a backwards loop, and carries Meta forward in a glide for a possible final slice!
Dimensional Cape - A fake-out in which Meta vanishes from sight, and reappears in a different position to take out the foe!
Drill Rush - A horizontal, aerial drilling of Meta Knight's blade!
Final Smash:
Galaxia Darkness
Meta attempts to catch any unsuspecting foes with a swish of his cape, shrouding and paralyzing them in total darkness, from which he expertly and swiftly slashes the lot into ribbons.
Weaknesses:
Meta Knight is quite skilled with his sword, and the speed at which he can use it. However, while he may be quick with the blade, the knight doesn't have a whole lot of strength behind his blows. While, over time, successive blows at such a rate of speed might eventually get to someone such as a heavyweight, it does take some doing. Of course, his lightweighted nature prevents him from resisting too many heavy blows before being sent flying back. While in the air, namely after using any of his specific moves, he is quite open to any attack that comes his way.
Personality:
Meta Knight is... mystery. That's a word that sums everything all up about him. There's always an air of mystery surrounding him whenever he appears. His origins are unknown, as is his age, and other personal figures one might come up with. He seems to have no alliances other than with his own guild of fellow knights, though he has been known on occasion to lend aid to King Dedede. However, this also spells true for Kirby. On the other side of the coin, though, he seems to consider Kirby, to some extent, his -rival-, always giving the pink fluff a sword to do battle with him whenever they cross paths.
This, in turn, leads to the portion of his personality that seems to be fueled by honor, and a strict code of some kind. For certain, he can be a terrifying bane of his enemies, but when it comes down to butting heads, he is the first to ensure that his code is followed to the letter... even if it's just himself that's willing to follow it.
As a final note, Meta Knight is all about serious business. He hardly has the time to be carefree, and have fun of any kind (unless it deals with his own training), and if he does, it's behind closed doors where the world will never see.
Likes:
For a figure like Meta Knight, it's not really easy to figure out much about his personal side. However, it's probably not mystery that he enjoys training to make himself stronger for any inevitable clashes, namely those that might involve his "rival" Kirby. Perhaps, to an extent, maybe he himself could be considered something he likes, given that his masked visage dons the front of his own air fortress, the Halberd.
Dislikes:
As stated above, it's hard to pinpoint just what it is that Meta Knight enjoys or does not enjoy, as little is known of the mysterious character to begin with. Perhaps the one thing that could get under his cape is when a fellow opponent refuses to follow any sort of honorable code during the scuffle. This could lead to Meta Knight having to bend his own code a little to ensure that he doesn't fail, something that is sure to irk him. Also, the most obvious, he despises anyone to see his true face beneath the metallic mask he wears. Every single time that Kirby has lopped it off, Meta would retaliate by quickly swirling his mystical cape around himself, and fleeing the scene. None shall see the true knight behind the meta...
Other than this, it is uncertain what else there is that this knight cannot tolerate.

History:
Meta Knight's history is fraught with uncertainties and unknowns. For starters, in his first appearance, he starts off by aiding Kirby through his Adventure to, at first, put a stop to the schemes of King Dedede, but along the way, Meta stopped Kirby to do battle via a clashing of swords. Before that time, it is unclear from whence he had came in the first place. After his first defeat, the relationship between the two remained roughly the same, when quite some time later, Meta Knight even tried to take to the skies in his airhsip, the Halberd, in an attempt to overtake Dream Land, which, once again, was put a stop to by Kirby. The Halberd never made it to its destination, and was sent to the depths of the ocean, Meta having escaped on the wings of his cape through the skies. Nearly every other appearance and encounter involved his attempt to overtake Kirby, and be the strongest of the two, but he always had difficulty staying on top.
During the Subspace incident, Meta Knight's own ship, the Halberd, was inadvertently hijacked from him, getting kicked off his own ship by the minions of Subspace. Since its liftoff into dark skies, the mystical knight of Dream Land pursued it every step of the way. Despite being unable to keep up with his own airborne brainchild, he was able to follow the signs that it had left behind, aka traces of shadow bugs, Subspace henchmen, and the inevitable explosions from the Subspace Bombs, which eventually led him to his first clash with one of the fellow fighters, Marth. After a short scuffle, the two were ambushed by nearby Subspace fighters. Once they took them out together, the two weilders of the blade realized that they were both fighting for the same cause, and thusly, worked alongside one another to take out the remainder of the minions in the area. Not too long after, they were aided by another fellow swordsman, Ike. The three then sought to persue the Ancient Minister, as well as eventually find the Halberd.
After a journey amongst his comrades, and other fellow fighters that joined the way, they eventually made it onto the airship, and after a miniature war that was fought in and outside of the ship, the fighters finally reclaimed it once more, and Meta Knight flew the Halberd out of the darkness, and into the light.
After a regrouping, Meta Knight housed all of the fighters, and prepared them for an invasion into Subspace. Well aware of the capabilities of his enemies, the ship was set to an auto-pilot charge, and he waited amongst one of the miniature air vehicles to wait for the perfect moment... And thus, it came, when his own ship, used as a sort of decoy, fell to the gigantic weapon constructed from within Subspace. It was with this that the fighters were able to catch Ganondorf off-guard, as he instructed every weapon to target the oncoming ships. This distraction, started off by Meta Knight and his ship, helped direct attention away from his long-time rival, Kirby, who pierced the humongous weapon with the Dragoon, and thus allowed everyone access into Subspace for the final showdown, where, eventually, victory was met by their hands, and Tabuu saw his last moments.
Nowadays, a year or so after the Subspace wars, Meta Knight generally keeps to himself, training quite frequently. Though it is uncertain if he plans on it, there's no doubt that the chances remain high that he will once again clash with the pink puffball of Dream Land, and once again attempt to take the title of Strongest in Pop Star.
He currently resides on a newly constructed Halberd, which is nearly a carbon-copy of the first ship. It doesn't take to the skies these days, and it's actually quite a wonder how he managed to rebuild it in such a short amount of time to begin with. It's speculated that it was a "gift" of sorts from Master Hand, but who can say...? Maybe he's just as quick with the building as he is with the blade...?
Anything else? (Optional)
It is uncertain what exactly the deal is with Meta Knight's cape. It is quite mystical beyond comprehension, seeming to twist space and time for short periods, as well as extend its use into being Meta's own set of wings. Definitely an asset to his overlying theme of being dark and mysterious.

Played by me, Tony! Uh.. If there's anything else I have to add, please let me know. I do know that I need to app the Halberd as a location if I plan to use it as such, so I'll probably do that next..
