Note: Since the games he's appeared in are still rather new, it's safe to say that there are SPOILERS for them ahead, so be careful if you're still playing 'em.
Name:
Unknown. There are rumors that his name may be Dastan (Persian for "trickster," natch), but this is wholely unconfirmed and probably not true.
Game of Origin:
The franchise began with Prince of Persia in 1989 for the computer. However, not every game features the same Prince, much like how not every Legend of Zelda game features the same Link. This Prince did not appear until the game Prince of Persia (same title) in 2008 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Nintendo Appearance:
Again, the Prince of Persia series has appeared numberous times on Nintendo systems, namely the Sands of Time trilogy on the Gamecube (with the third entry remade for the Wii). This Prince, however, has only appeared in the DS game Prince of Persia: The Fallen King, released in 2008.
Nicknames:
The Prince. This appears to be the only name or nickname he goes by.
Age:
Unknown, as record of age was not well kept back in the Arabian times. He is probably in his 20s or 30s, though.
Species:
Human
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Claims to be neutral (though most will say he's "good", much to his own cargin)
Type:
Middleweight
Character Stats:
111 HP
5 PP
8 LP
Residence:
N/A, he is a wanderer.
Personal Relationships:
Elika - A princess of the ancient Ahura, a group of people chosen to protect the earth from the dark god Ahirman. She and the Prince share an incredibly strong bond, frequently combining their strengths - her magic and his combat prowness - to overcome all obsticles. The Prince strongly believes that she is in love with him and often taunts her about it while denying that he loves her back, but just how 'romantic' their relationship truely is has yet to be determined.
Zal - The king of the City of New Dawn. Like Elika, he used his magical abilities to aid the Prince in fighting the Corruption brought to his kingdom by Ahirman. Tragically, he too was partially corrupted, splitting his body into two separate entities: One that aided the Prince, and another that tried to destroy them both. By defeating his evil half and purifying the land, Zal's good half died too, but his power now rests within the Prince.
Ahirman - The dark god. He seeks to destroy the Prince's world by spreading his Corruption throughout the land and gaining absolute power. He aquires his minions by offering his powers to victims in exchange for their souls and then uses them like puppets to further his deeds. Having seen his actions firsthand, the Prince has vowed to stop him, although he claims it's just because he can't have much excitement if the world ends.
Ormazd - The god of light. He once fought and sealed away Ahirman eons ago and gave Elika's people the task of keeping him that way. His power still flows through his people, giving them many magical capabilities, but he himself has not shown up to personally fight Ahirman again now that he has been released. The Prince is a bit skeptical about the god's power (and Elika's praise of him) because of this.
Occupation:
He claims to be a treasure hunter. His "methods" (as well as his complete lack of actual treasure) puts this in question somewhat.
Moveset:
Special Moves:
Standard Attack - Corruption Strike: By constantly pressing the B botton, the Prince will proceed with a series of stylish sword strikes that have unusually high knockback. Perfect for taking out portals of Corruption, illusions conjured up by evil concubines, or even trees of life.
Upward Attack - Step of Ormazd (R): In a burst of red energy, the Prince flips at a straight 45 degree angle upwards into the air. Anyone caught in his way at the time is damaged. This power was originally granted to Elika, but he has somehow came to aquire it himself in This World.
Downward Attack - Zal's Shield: Using the power of Zal still resting within him, the Prince creates a magical barrier. It can be used indefinately, but is only good against non-physical attacks.
Side Attack - Gauntlet Rush (R): The Prince runs foward, left hand outstreched. If he grabs someone with his gauntlet, he'll toss them in the air, reach up to grab their foot, and then slam them on the ground behind him. If done in the air, he'll simply choke-slam them into the ground. Due to its "rushing foward" properties, it can be used for horizontal recovery.
Regular Attacks:
(A) Standard Attack - The Prince strikes with his sword. He can do this multiple times.
(A) Upward Attack - The Prince does an upward strike with his sword.
(A) Downward Attack - The Prince does a downward strike with his sword.
(A) Side Attack - The Prince thrusts his sword foward.
Aerials:
These are the (A) attacks used in the air.
Standard Aerial: The Prince spins around in the air, swinging his sword as he goes.
Upward Aerial: The Prince spins halfway around in the air, swinging his sword upwards as he goes.
Downward Aerial: The Prince swings his sword forceably downward. This is a "meteor strike" move.
Side Aerial: The Prince swings his sword in front of him, giving himself a slight boost upwards and foward as he does so.
Smash Attacks:
Upward Smash: The Prince does a massive overhead swing.
Downward Smash: The Prince does a massive swing at the knees.
Side Smash: The Prince does a massive foward swing. He can follow this up with another one, like Link can.
Grab: The Prince grabs his opponent by the neck with his spiked gauntlet. He can either toss them in any direction or proceed to smash their face against his knee repeatedly for extra damage.
Taunts:
Upward Taunt - The Prince tosses his sword in the air and catches it.
Downward Taunt - The Prince brushes the dust off his pants.
Side Taunt - The Prince looks left and right and then simply shrugs. (he would do this in the game if you began rotating the analog stick fast to make him walk in circles)
Final Smash: Zal Merge - Channeling all the power given to him by Zal, the Prince transforms into a powerful merger of his agility and Zal's magic. This black-skinned, white haired beast is faster and more powerful than the normal Prince, but is still very much vurnerable. Therefore, for the next three turns, all of the Prince's offensive and defensive rolls are doubled, but he can still be attacked and damaged.
Weaknesses:
Physcially, the Prince may be very agile and have high endurance, but he has very low power. He also lacks any particularly good finishing moves. Therefore, his fights tend to drag on for quite some time as he slowly chips away at the enemy's health until they are finally weak enough for him to smash off the stage.
Mentally, the Prince is a high risk taker, living for today and nothing more, nothing less. Therefore, he often takes brash actions without thinking (or caring) about the consequences. He isn't afraid to speak his mind and will often shoot his mouth off when it isn't advisable. He's also a bit full of himself, but has an unflappable ego that's able to withstand almost any insult, making one wonder if he's ever able to learn from his mistakes.
Also, he's completely illiterate and not formally educated at all. Fun times.
Personality:
The Prince is the quintessental loveable rogue. He is ill-educated, but street-smart. Brash, but kind. He seeks nothing short of fortune and glory, throwing yesterday's successes to the wind and focusing only on tomorrow's gains. He believes in living for today, allowing himself to make his death-defying stunts and tackle challenges far greater than himself. He despies being held down and balks at the thought of commitment, whether it is to a person or a long-lasting responsibility. However, he will accept alliances if they help him achieve his own goals.
He claims to be out solely for himself, not caring about the goods and evils of the world, as "fighting other people's wars" is stupid. However, as time goes on, the heart of gold inside him is slowly beinging to show. He says his fight against Ahriman is simply because the world being corrupted would mean no more treasures for him, but it is becomming very clear that he honestly desires to do the right thing. As for Elika... He cares deeply for her and frequently lays the moves on her, but it is unclear if he's "romantically involved." Time will tell...
Likes:
Elika, Farah (his donkey), gold, treasure, harlem girls, thick carpets, his scarf (he thinks it's lucky)
Dislikes:
Ahriman AND Ormazd, Corruption, not getting and/or losing treasure/gold, people he likes dying (... sometimes more than once...)

History:
Countless tales have come from the swirling sands of Arabia. Some tell of beggers becoming kings under the power of genies. Others tell of fearless explorers sailing the seas in search of new lands. One tells of a blue hedgehog and his quest to recover seven rings of power.
However, many tales speak of a man simply called the Prince. The Prince of Persia. There appears to be several men who have taken on this title, not all of them actual royalty. These are the tales of one such man.
When this Prince was but a child, his parents were called to war. They send him to live with relatives until they returned. They never did. Realizing the folly of fighting someone else's battle, the Prince vowed to never be involved with the affairs of other men, instead living for himself. He ran away from his relatives and began honing his abilities, practicing his swordplay and acrobatics. Soon, he was a master of the blade to be feared, and he appeared to control the very force of gravity itself under his whims as he sprinted across rooftops, along walls, and even on the undersides of ceilings. He used these talents to travel across many lands in search of treasure. However, it appeared as though the fates would always conspire against him, leaving him always with nothing but the tales he could weave of his journies.
And thus, we begin our first tale.
After a rare successful venture in aquiring treasure, the Prince was returning home with his donkey, Farah, in tow. However, once again, the fates saw it fit to ruin him: a sandstorm was brought upon him that separated him from his donkey. In the chaos and confusion, he stumbled into a long-lost valley and met a mysterious girl. She was fleeing from armed guards, so the Prince rushed in to aid her, hoping to recieve a reward in return. Instead, the girl, Elika, asked him to join her in traveling to a temple. He did so, and made two discoveries as they arrived: The girl was a princess, and her father wanted his blood. Prince and King fought, only to discover the true purpose of the king's being there: To chop down the Tree of Life in the center of the temple, breaking the seal on the dark god Ahirman. And now, with the horrid deed done, it seemed like the world was doomed to fall to the dark god's Corruption.
But Elika revealed that there was still hope: There were fertile grounds scattered throughout the land, slowly dying because of Ahriman's Corruption. If they were to be healed, then the dark god could be sealed away once more. But how could they possibly be clensed? The princess explained that she had the power of light, given to her by the good god Ormazd. With this power, she could save the fertile grounds and stop Ahriman, all she needed was the Prince's help in overcoming the many obsticles she would face. He was reluctant, but it appeared that the world - himself included, of course - was doomed if he didn't, so he joined her.
Their quest led them across many lands, from the depths of the Valve to the highest tower in the City of Light. Along the way, they fought Ahriman's dark forces: men and women who sold their souls to Ahriman for power, only to become puppets to his schemes. The Hunter, the Alchemist, the Concubine, the Warrior... All sought to destroy the Prince and Elika, but they prevailed.
Along the way, the Prince made another shocking discovery: Elika had died. Her father, devistated over the loss, sold his soul to Ahriman in order to bring her back. And now, as they clensed the last furtile ground and returned to the temple, they realized the price the king paid for his daughter: he was now a full corrupted. With a heavy heart, the Prince and princess were forced to kill him like they did all the others. His death brought forth Ahriman in his full, terrifying glory, and in the final desperate struggle, Elika used every ounce of her strenght to reseal the demon.
However, there was a price to be paid: Breaking the seal on Ahriman was what brought Elika back to life. Therefore, resealing him caused Elika to die once more. Heartbroken at the loss of his new friend, the Prince carried her body outside the temple and began to mourn. As he did so, however, he heard a voice... Ahriman's voice. Could the monster really be trying to tempt the Prince, to make him give up everything they strove to accomplish in order to return Elika to him? No... He wasn't tempting the Prince... He was... taunting him.
She has died... But I shall live again.
The horrifying realization came to the Prince: The seal would only last for so long. Ahriman would come back again, whether it was from the seal weakening or if some other man sought his power. Elika's sacrifice was meaningless. This enraged the Prince. He couldn't simply let Ahriman be sealed away, he had to destroy him for good! But... How? He did not know, but he did know one thing:
He was going to take Elika back.
And so, with bold defiance to what he did just moments before, he returned to the Tree of Life, the seal holding back Ahriman... And cut it down. Life returned to Elika. Elika returned to the Prince.
And Hell returned to Earth.
But the Prince was ready to fight it.
And so begins the second tale.
While seeking a way to destory Ahriman, the Prince heard about the legend of the City of New Dawn: a city that once had the power of Ormazd. Surely they could purge Ahriman from this land! Traveling alone, the Prince went to the city, only to find that it had already fallen to the Corruption. The sole survivor: Zal, the Fallen King. Well, half of the king, to be persise. He was partially corrupted, but his will was strong enough that his corrupted half split from him and fled. Determined to save his land and his people, Zal joined forces with the Prince to hunt down his corrupted side and destory it. After another perilous journey, they succeeded. However, this too came at a price: Zal was killed along with his corrupted half. However, the land was saved, and Zal's powers became the Prince's own. Unfortunately, Ahriman's corruption still existed elsewhere, and no way to completely destory him was found. So the Prince continued on his quest.
Then, the Prince and Elika heard of a mysterious temple: The Temple of the Otherworld. This temple supposedly contained relics from worlds beyond their own. Perhaps something could be found there that could combat Ahriman? The duo traveled but discovered, alas, that it too had fallen under the dark god's control. As they went inside to clense it, they discovered it was the domain of another one of Ahriman's minions: The Wizard. The Wizard was a man who sold his soul so he could gain the power to manipulate the very fabric of time and space itself. His presence in such a temple could very well create a gateway, allowing for Ahriman to spread his Corruption to other worlds! Determined to put an end to this, the Prince and Elika fought the Wizard and came out triumphant.
But he would not go down easily.
As he faded into the darkness, the Wizard used his final breath to cast one last spell, ripping open a portal in the middle of the very room they were standing in. The Prince and Elika tried to escape, but to no avail, they found themselves sucked into the portal, sent to another world...
... And so, our next tale begins...
