My town got hit by a massive snow/ice mix yesterday and it's STILL snowing. Since our town is smart enough to plant trees next to power lines, and since these trees have huge branches that got coated with enough ice and snow to break off and fall down yesterday, you can imagine what happened.
My whole neighborhood is without electricity. No electricity means no internet, and worse, no heat. My family has packed up and moved over to my grandmother's house, which has a gas generator that automatically kicks in when the electricity goes out. Yes, they've got heat; yes, their fridge still works. We're all safe and fine.
However...
I'm only allowed to use my grandparents' computer when it's being unoccupied, and since I can't install new programs onto it without their permission, you won't be seeing me on AIM for a while.
So, apologies to everyone, but I'm not gonna be very active for the next week or so until we get this situation worked out. If I can hook up my house's wireless router to the grandpartents' computer I'll be able to get online again through my laptop, but that's just speculation for now.
Other people are wanting to use the computer, so I need to log off. I'll try to get back on again later.

I managed to hook up my house's wireless router to the grandparents' house. Now I can get online with my laptop, yay.
I'll get on AIM in a little bit. I first need to go check my house to see if the electricity came back on (though I doubt it did).
