Personal Relationships: (optional)
Other Ghosts
-Pinky: Brother-Sister like Relationship
-Inky & Blinky: Idiots in need of babysitting
Pac-Man: Rival
Occupation:
N/A
Moveset:
Being a Ghost, Clyde is a lightweight. He is lighter than his yellow enemy, almost to the point that he'd get thrown farther than Jigglypuff. However, his power exceeds that of Pac-Man's. Where as the hero needs a Power Pellet to defeat his undead foes, Clyde's Sonic Boo can send them sobbing back to their graves in an instant. He lacks a bit in prior hand-to-hand combat training, but that's a minor oversight.
Special Moves:
Standard Attack - Sonic Boo
The most powerful move in Clyde's arsenal, he lets out a loud, ghostly howl that captures enemies close enough and does a good chunk of damage, depending on how close to Clyde they are.
Upward Attack - Flee
Well, even though he's the undisputed toughest Pac-Man Ghost, the fact remains he's still...well, a Pac-Man Ghost. If he deems necessary, he'll take to the skies to avoid attack as long as possible. Of course, it goes without saying he can't stay up there forever--foes just need to wait until he gets too tired or too bored to keep it up.
Downward Attack - Intangibility
As if he'd been chomped, Clyde's body disappears, only his eyes remaining. In this state, he cannot attack nor be attacked--but he can run. Clyde can stay in this state for up to two turns.
Side Attack - Dash Attack
In Pac-Land, Clyde could hurt Pac-People just by touching them. However, in the world of Smash, it's not so simple--he needs to get a run-er, flying start before hitting a foe. When he hits, there is no knockback. Rather, he phases through them, doing damage only if there were not shielding or he missed.
Taunts:
Upward Taunt
Spins rapidly, becomes his classic 2-D form a moment, then spins back to normal.
Downward Taunt
The "Ghost howl" noise from the classic Pac-Man plays as Clyde rubs his hands together, grinning.
Side Taunt
Begins to glow blue and freaks out, but quickly changes back and sighs in relief.
Final Smash: Final Howl
Clyde takes the deepest breath he can and lets out the scariest, pants-crappiest, most powerful Sonic Boo he can. Because the blast of sound extends in a cone shape, The only safe opponents will be those behind him. However, there is a catch. After this devastating howl, he will be unable to use his Sonic Boo or Dash Attack for two turns, his ghostly powers temporarily diminished.
Weaknesses:
Clyde has a terrible fear of Power Pellets. He knows full well that, if he even SEES one, he'll be nothing but a pair of eyes in a few moments. Also, in some cases, his friends could be considered weaknesses as well. After all, he has to look over the paranoid Blinky and the idiotic Inky. Then there's the issue of snapping Pinky out of it when she starts swooning over a certain yellow jerk who's name will not be mentioned.
Personality:
Clyde is pretty much the "Big Man on Campus" when it comes to Ghosts. Regular Ghosts, Spectral Monsters...none of them mess with him, point being because his Sonic Boo has a similar effect of a Power Pellet--something no other Ghost has. Of course, Clyde can get very full of himself when reminded of this fact. However, despite this character flaw and the almost "New Yorker" accent in his voice, we must remember he's the leader of the Ghost Gang for a reason. Even when it doesn't seem like it, Clyde is constantly observing his surroundings and keeping track of things, plotting his next move. This observant nature can, at times, make him seem very cold and calculating. Also, ever since the Spooky incident, Clyde has become a tad unstable and is fascinated by fire.

History:
Per the usual, nobody knows the true origins of either Pac-Man or the Ghost Gang. However, it seems that, at one point, Pac-Man intruded on their Maze residence. Of course, they tried to chase him away. It was then they learned of the Power Pellets and the true nature of the glowing orbs. After being humiliated by both Pac-Man AND his girlfriend, the future Mrs. Pac-Man, they retreated to Ghost Island of the coast of Pac-Land.
There, they met a gray brainiac ghost named Orson. Orson was a bit timid, so Clyde took it upon himself to thoroughly bully and humiliate Orson, to the point where he actually exiled him to an abandoned mansion. Days later, a mechanical monster began to terrorize the ghosts under the guise of Pac-Man. However, Clyde knew this couldn't be the same yellow fella, so he approached the beast himself. After the being accidentally revealed he was actually Orson inside a mech, Clyde threatened to tell the other ghosts this fact...unless Orson helped him a bit. He gets rid of Pac-Man, Clyde will have the other ghosts believing he's the real deal. Of course, we all know how this turned out. So, Pac-Man and his family took a boat home...but not without four all-too-familiar stowaways...
Later, the Ghost Gang came to Pac-Village in the dead of night, just to mess with the place to spite their old foe. When they couldn't find anything worth ruining, Clyde noticed the treasured Golden Fruits. Under his orders, the Ghost Gang proceeded to pick the fruits, and do...whatever they wanted with them, really. But this joy was short lived, as they unknowingly released Spooky, the most powerful ghost in existence. With promises of glory and the elimination of the Pac-People, Clyde and his friends eagerly took Spooky's offer to serve him. As the head ghost himself disappeared he left each ghost with a Golden Fruit, taking the last one himself. The Ghost Gang spread themselves throughout the land, utilizing their large mechs Spooky had left them to impede on Pac-Man's adventure. However, upon Inky's defeat, Spooky went to Pinky and turned her feelings into a sick obsession which led her to have an insatiable urge to kill the hero. When this failed, Spooky went to Clyde and began to whisper things to him like a voice in the back of his head which slowly drove him mad. The others are useless. They cannot defeat Pac-Man. Nobody can. It is only you. You possess the power to kill him...it is your destiny...you shall burn him to ash... Clyde gave in to these thoughts and lost all sense of reason, no longer caring for what happened to the others, him, the plan, or anything else. Eye twitching furiously, he modified his mech so it would have total manipulation over magma and made the outer hull denser, so Pac-Man couldn't damage it. When the two battled in a raging volcano, the mech slowly lost power, forcing Clyde to lower it to the magma below to recharge. Thus, Pac-Man used his Butt-Bounce to destroy the Cockpit, defeating him and taking the Golden Fruit. Later, the Ghost Gang teamed up in the Megawhale to beat Pac-Man. But even then, they failed and the last Golden Fruit was his. After Spooky's defeat, the humiliated spirits went back home to the Spectral Realm, giving up on ever defeating Pac-Man.
On Pac's latest adventure, the mad scientist Erwin captured nearly all the ghosts in the Spectral Realm with intent to use their power to fuel a giant Siphon. The only ones who escaped were Pinky and Clyde, who ended up separated. Eventually, Pac-Man and the recently rescued Pinky found Clyde. Although he still loathed Pac-Man with every fiber of his being, he needed to save Inky and Blinky, and the best way of doing that was with his friend and nemesis, apparently. Utilizing his Sonic Boo, Clyde helped to clear the way of Spectral Monsters, which eventually brought Pac-Man to destroy Erwin's final weapon in the Shadow Temple. After these events, Pac and Clyde ended up on friendlier terms. (Not actual friends, mind you.) Their feud turning to a simple rivalry, the hero and ghost went their separate ways.
Years later, Clyde returned to Pac-Land, impossibly bored and just wanting to mess with Pac-Man for old time's sake. He arrived just in time to see Pac get sucked through a portal of some sort! Did it lead to the Spectral Realm? Somewhere else, maybe? Curiosity overwhelming him, Clyde pursued the Yellow Fella through the vortex...
Anything else?
"I knew the other Ghosts couldn't take you. I don't even think Spooky can take you. But, we'll never know that, see...because you won't make it past ME. I've always liked my Pac-Man...EXTRA CRISPY..."
