Name of Location:
Ivalice
Game of Origin:
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Nintendo Appearance:
FFTA was on GBA.
Neighboring Locations:
Umm...Any other Final Fantasy areas?
Bestiary:
Clan Members that usually fight in the background might end up on the Smash Battlefield. These include Humes, which look human, Moogles, small furry people with bat-wings, Viera, tall, slender bunnygirls, Bangaa, the mighty lizard-folk, and the peaceful but powerful mages, the Nu Mou.
Appearence:
Ivalice is one of the 'moving maps'. It starts off with everyone on platforms floating in front of Bernevia Palace, where a Judge hops onto the battlefield and puts a Law Card out. The Law Cards are visible to everybody and say either A or B, and if anybody makes even one attack with that button they get a Yellow Card, which negates any bonuses or charged moves they may have. A second use of those attacks results in a Red Card, costing the combatant one life (An immediate fall from the stage.)
Then the platforms move away from the Palace and into the Nubswood, where a Clan Engagement is in mid-battle in the background. Occasionally a fighter from the battle afar will be thrown to the Smash Battleground and try to attack the combatants, but they're easy to knock away with a few hits.
Once some time has passed the platforms move again, to the dry desert of Lynari, and the Judge changes his Law Card. Here monsters prowl in the background, but do not fight, and therefore do not end up on the battlefield.
After a bit longer the battle moves to Sprohm, an imposing city and home of the judge's prison, and another Judge joins the fray, though he merely rides his chocobo across the battlefield to get to another battle he needs to judge.
Once done in Sprohm the platforms take the fighters through a strange, color-reversing bubble, into a World Seam, where the Totema can be seen in the background and the Judge finally leaves. If the battle is not finished soon, the platforms will leave the seam to end up in Ambervale, a beautiful land holding the Royal Family's summer retreat, though another Engagement between Clans is battling in the background once again. After a while here, the platforms return to Bernevia Palace, and the Judge returns as the cycle continues...
History:
Ivalice was created when a small, weak-willed boy got his mitts on a magical Grimoire, and turned his snowy hometown of St. Ivalice into a magical kingdom where he rules all from his palace as prince. A good friend of his forced him to wake up from this reality-warping dream, and brought back the real world, but Ivalice itself lives on, and has reappeared in the Smash World for unknown reasons...
Events:
I think I kinda covered this in the description >.>;;
Anything Else:
The Judge can be attacked, to temporarily allow Law-Breaking for everybody, but once he 'wakes up' he'll cast a double-law and disable all forms of attack, as far as he knows. Throws can still be used, but the temporary lack of both A and B attacks can be brutal to any battle...
