He then yells “GET OVER HERE!” or “COME HERE!” as he pulls them in closer to kick them away. If the analogue stick is pressed upward before Scorpion releases the weapon, it’ll strike the opponent above rather than in front.
Upward Attack – Hellfire Back Flip: Scorpion performs a back flip kick, and a trail of fire goes along with it.
Downward Attack – Hellfire: Scorpion rise his hands and fire covers the ground under the opponent, and they burn.
(R)Side Attack – Hellfire Punch: Scorpion jumps up and leaves a copy of himself behind, he then quickly appears behind the enemy and punches them with a fiery fist. By pressing the analogue stick upward in mid move, Scorpion will uppercut from his original location instead, and can be used as a recovery.
Final Smash:
Toasty! – Scorpion pulls off his mask to reveal a flaming skull. He then opens his mouth and a large amount of fire is sent out to burn the opponent in front of him badly.
Weaknesses:
Though Scorpion is powerful, he is fairly slow, as his moves are more focused on charging and/or grabbing (Uses Hapkido). He’s full of rage, so he can be easily blind sighted, and also tends to look down on his opponents. He’s bulky and falls quick for a middleweight.
Personality:
Scorpion is a creature almost always filled with rage. When he died, he was re-born in the depths of the Netherealm, and came out angered with everything. History:
Scorpion…the codename of the Shirai Ryu’s finest warriors, one of which was Hanzo Sasori Hazashi. His father has forbid his son from joining this clan, as he had not wanted him to follow in the footsteps of an assassin. Though, Hanzo did not listen, and joined this clan anyway in order to provide for his wife and son.
He was soon hired by the sorcerer Quan Chi to find a map hidden deep within the icy mountains. Quan Chi also hired the elder of the Lin Kuei, Sub-Zero, to carry out this same mission. The Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu were of rival clans, and of course, Sub-Zero was one of Hanzo’s greatest rivals. Quan Chi’s main goal was this, “If one man shall fail, then the other shall succeed and bring me one step closer to unlocking unknown and ultimate power.” Scorpion and Sub-Zero both made it safely to their destination, but found that the other was too, reaching for the map that they were sent to acquire. The two men fought, Sub-Zero gaining the advantage. As Hanzo’s body lie motionless on the ground, Sub-Zero went over to the body and lifted it, then through it off the side of a nearby cliff. Hanzo, or Scorpion, was soon sent to the Netherealm, facing a decision he had to make. Should he stay within the depths of Hell, or should he go back to the world of the living as a Spectre but loosing all memory of his past or family…he of course thirsted revenge, so he chose the latter. When Scorpion left the Netherealm, he had found that Sub-Zero was sent by Raiden to acquire an amulet from Shinnok and Quan Chi. Scorpion was of course, beat again.
Following his return to Earthrealm, Sub-Zero was soon invited to participate in the Mortal Kombat tournament that was soon to be held in Earthrealm. Much unknown to the Lin Kuei…Scorpion too, was invited. On Shang Tsung’s boat, Scorpion and Sub-Zero met. Scorpion lifted his kunai and pressed it against Sub-Zero’s neck while holding him up off the ground with his other hand, by the neck, and said these words, "You killed me in cold blood exactly two years ago, to this day, but my demons have allowed me to avenge my death. I could kill you at this moment, but I am not a murderer. We will meet at the tournament, and then, Lin Kuei warrior, you will pay with your life."
Sub-Zero had not encountered Scorpion once throughout the tournament, and thought that the spectre was all talk, though in the closing moments of Mortal Kombat, Scorpion stood before Sub-Zero. Scorpion yelled out to Sub-Zero, “We will finish this.” And Sub-Zero replied, “I suppose it was only a matter of time…” and the Lin Kuei prepared himself for battle. Upon a very enraged “GET OVER HERE!” yelled by Scorpion, he threw his Scorpion Spear at Sub-Zero and pulled him close, and then used several grabs and throws. The spectre proved too strong for the Lin Kuei warrior, and Sub-Zero lay defeated…and dead. Upon victory, Scorpion burst into flames and returned to the Netherealm.
Scorpion soon heard that Sub-Zero was going to return for the second Mortal Kombat tournament. He was outraged at the thought of his murderer still living out there, so he traveled to Outworld in order to participate in the Mortal Kombat II competition. Scorpion had never actually ‘met’ with this Sub-Zero, but had witnessed him participate in a battle in which he spared a man’s life. Scorpion was confused at first as to why this Sub-Zero was so much full of compassion, but then realized that he was the younger brother of his original murderer. Scorpion then vowed to never kill this new Sub-Zero, and even make up for his brother’s death by watching over him. Not too long after making this vow, Scorpion was summoned back to the damnation of the Netherealm. Little did he know that the man he did kill, had become far more powerful in the depths of the Netherealm, and was now known as Noob Saibot…
When Shao Kahn invaded Earthrealm, and failed to conquer the Netherealm, Scorpion was set free, and started living life on Earthrealm once again. He had no alliances at this time, and no foes. Shao Kahn saw great potential in Scorpion though, and enlisted him in his army. Scorpion had dropped out and betrayed Shao Kahn however, when he learned that Sub-Zero was one of the Defenders of Earthrealm, and one that he would have to kill in order to succeed. He fought alongside the Defenders of Earthrealm and defeated Shao Kahn. With all of Shao Kahn’s forces destroyed, Scorpion saw no point to sticking around Earthrealm any longer, and returned back home to the Netherealm.
Quan Chi and Shinnok began to plot an attack on the Elder Gods, and needed a large group of mighty warriors. Quan Chi went to Scorpion and filled him with false truth. He had told Scorpion that the younger Sub-Zero had indeed been involved with his murder. Scorpion was outraged by this, and joined Quan Chi and Shinnok’s army in order to get close to Sub-Zero and destroy him. Scorpion met with Sub-Zero on the battlefield and engaged with him in Mortal Kombat. Much like the battle with the elder Sub-Zero, Scorpion had emerged the victor. As Scorpion stood triumphantly over the body, Quan Chi revealed to him that Sub-Zero was indeed innocent. It was actually he, Quan Chi, whom had been the true killer of both the Shirai Ryu and Scorpion’s Family. Quan Chi then called him a gullible fool before firing up a spell that would send the man back to the Netherealm. Scorpion, outraged by this, grabbed the man by the neck and said, “You’re coming with me!” and the spell sent them BOTH to the cursed realm. However, after they both left, Sub-Zero stood up…heavily damaged, though not dead.
During the years that Quan Chi was stuck in the Netherealm with Scorpion, the spectre had repeatedly hunted, chased, and brought much pain to the sorcerer, over and over again. Quan Chi tried to escape multiple times but failed. Quan Chi eventually found two Oni in the Netherealm, Drahmin and Moloch, and he made a deal with them, and they began to fight Scorpion off of him. Quan Chi managed to find a portion of the Netherealm that would still allow him to cast magic, and the sorcerer created a portal that would send him back to Earthrealm. Scorpion pursued him through this portal, though did not end up in the same location. Nevertheless, he pursued Quan Chi and swore he would make him face the highest amount of punishment he could offer. Soon though, Scorpion was ambushed by both Drahmin and Moloch who too, escaped the Netherealm. They both threw Scorpion into the Soulnado, a soul sucking device utilized by magic, thinking it would kill the creature once and for all.
Scorpion had managed to escape in to the Void before the purity of the soulnado could tear him apart. In this void he met the Elder Gods, in which he did not believe in. They made him witness Raiden’s sacrifice and Onaga’s dominance over the realms beginning to unfold. The Elder Gods enhanced Scorpion’s abilities, and made him the Champion of the Elder Gods. Scorpion was given a new mission, destroy Onaga and make sure he does not merge the realms. Of course, it wasn’t long before Scorpion made it to the Temple of the Dragon King and helped the defeat of the creature, which was already being attacked by the Defenders of Eathrealm, and Shujinko.
The Elder Gods had made a deal with Scorpion. As long as he would serve as their champion, they would revive the fallen Shirai Ryu Clan of which he lost. They did fulfill their promise, but when the clan was revived, they were all hell spawned warriors such as him. Outraged with this, Scorpion sent out to seek Taven and Daegon, the Elder Gods’ only two hopes of preventing Armageddon, who were on their way to defeat Blaze atop the Pyramid of Argus. He wished to engage in Mortal Kombat with these two men, and defeat them, simply to defy the Elder Gods. He does encounter Taven, and nearly wins the battle, though Taven strikes Scorpion down with his newly earned skill and gifts which he has acquired from the gods.
Scorpion, still determined, chased after this boy, but lost track of him within the great amounts of battles at the Pyramid of Argus where hundreds of warriors gathered to claim the prize after defeating Blaze. Upon catching sight of Taven, Scorpion rushed at him with his fist risen high, getting ready to strike. Suddenly though, a portal formed between him and the man, Scorpion tripped and fell into the portal…and came upon This World.
