Occupation:
Lin Kuei Warrior
Moveset:
Standard Attack – Deep Freeze: Sub-Zero fires off an ice ball at the opponent which freezes them.
(R)Upward Attack – Tomb Stone Teleport: Sub-Zero vanishes in ice and appears elsewhere. This move is guide able. For instance, if this move set where actually in Super Smash Bros., then by simply pressing up + B, Sub-Zero would melt into the ground (or air), and appear through an icy portal above, therefore being a recovery. But, if you were to press Up + B, then BEFORE Sub-Zero appears, you press a different directional button, Sub-Zero’s teleport will work sideways rather than upward. If used like this, Sub-Zero will turn into ice and melt backward into the ground, then appear directly behind, or away, from the enemy.
Downward Attack – Ice Nugget: Sub-Zero forms a block of ice above the opponent in front of him which falls down on top of them.
Side Attack – Ice Slide: Sub-Zero slides across the floor, crouched low, and takes the opponent out by the shins. He leaves behind an icy trail.
Final Smash:
Frozen Beatdown – Sub-Zero grabs the opponent and lifts them over his head. From here, he freezes them over entirely as they struggle, and when they are completely frozen, he throws them to the ground. Upon impact, the ice is broken, and the opponent goes flying off screen. FATALITY!
Weaknesses:
His moves are faster than Scorpion’s, and may be fast where he came from…but in comparison to half of those in This World, he has nothing in speed’s direction. He tends to not trust a whole lot of people, unless they manage to stick around him long enough. He can be deceived if provided with information, false or no. Since a lot of his attacks are made of ice, temperature may effect how affective his attacks are.
Personality:
Sub-Zero is very serious in nature, though very compassionate. He underwent intensive training for most of his life, and was fairly mature at an early age. Unlike his brother, he likes to assess a situation before jumping into it head first. He is known for being very well kept, and kept to himself, as he doesn’t always come outright with what his intentions are. He spends most of his free time alone, either training or sitting in silence.
As much as Sub-Zero is compassionate to those he deems innocent, he is very harsh on those who are proven to be evil. He is known for bringing upon hell on those who deserve it, most usually those who attack the weak. He is very erratic in how he leads. He has the potential to lead, but prefers to work alone and off to the side. He’s very capable of fighting, and makes good use of his technique when needed.
Likes:
The cold, a peaceful world, his home, his Lin Kuei warriors, his brother (even though his brother attempted to kill him in the past), the rest of the chosen Defenders of Earthrealm.
Dislikes:
Too much heat, those who kill unmercifully, Scorpion, Shao Kahn, Outworld, Quan Chi, betrayal.

History:
Sub-Zero and his elder brother, the former Sub-Zero and now Noob Saibot, were born of an Asian father and a Caucasian mother. Their father was the fourth known man to have the “Sub-Zero” title, and was a secret operative for the Lin Kuei clan in the United States. While in the United States, he fell in love with a woman and married her, then had 2 sons and 1 daughter. Their father however, needed to return to the Lin Kuei, and against their mother’s will, took both boys back with him and left their sister and mother in America. The two boys were trained to be mighty Lin Kuei warriors.
Sub-Zero’s brother, being the elder of the two boys, had much more training under his belt, and was chosen to participate in the Mortal Kombat tournament and defend Earthrealm against the mighty Shao Kahn. This Sub-Zero had failed though. And not only has he failed, but he also killed a member of the Shirai Ryu Clan, the Scorpion, which had become a Spectre and challenged the Lin Kuei warrior for a revenge match. This “Scorpion” creature, of course killed the elder Sub-Zero. The younger Sub-Zero, took on his name an uniform, as he has always looked up to his brother. The new Sub-Zero was chosen to participate in the second Mortal Kombat of Earthrealm, which was to be held on Outworld’s soil. He was accompanied by fellow Lin Kuei, and friend, Smoke. Scorpion meanwhile., had heard of the warrior’s existence, and rose again from the Netherealm to assassinate him. Scorpion realized that this Sub-Zero was NOT his killer, as he witnessed Sub-Zero spare the life of a man he defeated. Realizing his mistake, Scorpion left once more for the Netherealm, swearing he would never harm this man. Sub-Zero never learned why the Spectre spared his life, though never questioned. Sub-Zero and Smoke carried on in the tournament, and defeated Shao Kahn along with Liu Kang, Raiden, and the other allies.
Upon returning back with Smoke to the Lin Kuei, they had found that the Lin Kuei ninjas had discovered a new kind of technology. This kind of technology could vastly improve the human body, making it more cyborg like and less human, also having it less susceptible to human flaws. Four mighty Lin Kuei warriors were chosen to be the participants in this transformation experiment. These four warriors were Sub-Zero, Smoke, Cyrax, and Sektor. Out of these four, Sub-Zero and Smoke refused to participate, and were forced to flee. Sub-Zero was successful in his escape, but Smoke was captured and turned into a cyborg. By leaving the clan, Sub-Zero had broken the Lin Kuei’s code of honor, and was to be hunted. These three cyborgs, Smoke, Cyrax, and Sektor, were then programmed to hunt and destroy Sub-Zero. Meanwhile, Raiden had come to the runaway warrior, and had asked for his help to defend Earthrealm. Sub-Zero, having no where else to go, joined in eliminating the new threats against the realm he called home.
Sub-Zero was fortunate, as he was one of the very few souls spared during this very attack led on Eathrealm’s soil. Shao Kahn had led an assault on Earthrealm, attempting to take it by force. Sub-Zero was one of the chosen to defeat Shao Kahn efficiently and effectively, as well as his extermination forces. Sub-Zero began creating more of a consciousness for higher morals, in becoming a hero rather than being an assassin. Unfortunately, the three cyborg assassins out to kill him lacked souls, therefore avoided Shao Kahn’s soul stealing technique, and successfully stayed around during the assault. Sub-Zero encountered Smoke while the cyborg attacked him, and the former Lin Kuei had tried to reach the robotic man’s human mind. He was successful, and managed to override Smoke’s programming. After this, Sub-Zero made an alliance with Smoke, and fought off both Cyrax and Sektor. Though instead of destroying Cyrax’s CPU, he re-programmed the system so that Cyrax would try to assassinate Shao Kahn instead of himself. Cyrax failed, though this did not stop Sub-Zero and the defenders of Earthrealm to be victorius. They successfully pushed Shao Kahn and his forces off and back to Outworld. After becoming victorious, Sub-Zero slunk back into the shadows.
It wasn’t too long though, before Raiden came to ask Sub-Zero to participate in the Mortal Kombat tournament once more, for the good of Earthrealm. Raiden had asked Sub-Zero to aid him in stopping the fallen god Shinnok, from destroying the realms and taking them for his own. Meanwhile, the evil sorcerer Quan Chi had informed Scorpion, the rival of his brother, that the young Sub-Zero had indeed been a part of his murder. Scorpion, enraged, traveled to Earthrealm to face Sub-Zero and defeat him. The two met in Goro’s Lair, and Scorpion had challenged him to Mortal Kombat, Scorpion becoming victorious. Before Scorpion could kill Sub-Zero, a lowly Lin Kuei warrior stood up in his old friend’s defense. He had stated that Sub-Zero had no part whatsoever in that murder, and it was only his elder brother that had done the crime. After learning of this, he asked Quan Chi if it were true. Quan Chi had stated that it was indeed true, not caring what Scorpion though now, assuming that Sub-Zero was going to die anyway and not expecting Scorpion to react. Scorpion, angered, grabbed Quan Chi by the neck and transported him to the Netherealm along with him, and had planned to chase him in hell for all eternity.
A little bit afterward, the Lin Kuei’s Grandmaster was assassinated by Sektor, and Sub-Zero was challenged by the very same cyborg. Sub-Zero accepted this challenge, and defeated Sektor in Mortal Kombat. He then took leadership of the Lin Kuei and came into possession of the Dragon Medallion. This Dragon Medallion increased his strength, and increased his freezing abilities by double. Sub-Zero then moved the Lin Kuei to a remote location somewhere in the arctic, and trained them far greater than they’ve ever been trained before. He now rose the Lin Kuei warriors as a force for good, rather than a bunch of mere assassins.
Sub-Zero held a tournament at the Lin Kuei Temple in order to recruit mighty warriors. A mighty warrior rose indeed, her name was Frost. Frost managed to harness the same freezing abilities as Sub-Zero himself. Disobeying Lin Kuei tradition, Sub-Zero made Frost his apprentice. She was a great fighter, but did not agree with Sub-Zero’s philosophies about being calm and compassionate. She was actually rather arrogant and aloof, and wanted to fight more often.
After hearing word from Raiden about Liu Kang’s murder by the hands of the Deadly Alliance, Sub-Zero decided to enter the new Mortal Kombat tournament in order to keep Earthrealm alive. He not only wanted to save Earthrealm and avenge Liu Kang’s Death, but he also wanted to prove himself to his fellow Lin Kuei as a mighty warrior. He took Frost with him, and went to Outworld.
In Outworld, Frost and Sub-Zero were separated from the Earthrealm warriors. Frost fought with Sub-Zero and tried to steal the Dragon Medallion…though this Medallion proved too powerful for her, and she was frozen over by her own freezing abilities. Sub-Zero grew upset over this, and blamed himself. He believed he did not dampen her pride and teach her his philosophies properly before such a tragic thing would happen.
Sub-Zero then searched for a place to bury Frost, believing she had died. He soon came across a temple in Outworld, a home for a bunch of other people with freezing capabilities. He had learned that the home of these ‘cryomancers’ was indeed where she had come from. Sub-Zeo buried her here, and found a new outfit in some ruins at this location. He now donned this new armor, then headed for the Earthrealm portal to meet up with Raiden and the other defenders of Earthrealm. Shujinko, the man who had been deceived into letting Onaga roam free, had been rallying up various defenders of Earthrealm in order to stop the creature. Sub-Zero did not meet up with Shujinko like the others though, instead he went to Outworld. He soon ran into a woman named Sareena. Sub-Zero offered her a place within the Lin Kuei, as she was one that helped defeat Quan Chi, and freed his brother from the Netherealm. While here, the two noticed two shadowy figures leaving Shao Kahn’s fortress. These two figures of course, were his brother Noob Saibot and his old friend Smoke. He gave Sareena the key to the Lin Kuei Temple, and told her to meet him later there. He then followed his brother and the cyborg into the Netherealm. The two knew they were being followed unfortunately, and attacked Sub-Zero when he entered the Netherealm. He was to be done for, until Sareena decided to jump in and fend off the assassins. Sub-Zero was knocked unconscious, and while he was unconscious, Sareena had reverted to her demonic form. Confused upon awakening, Sub-Zero attacked her. She then fled to the depths of the Netherealm.
Sub-Zero then returned to the Lin Kuei Temple, hoping to find a quiet home…but alas, he found that Frost was still indeed alive and delusional, and she had killed many Lin Kuei Warriors. He was challenged by her to Mortal Kombat, and he had won. Seeing her as a threat, he froze her unconscious body over completely into a solid block of ice and placed her frozen body deep inside the temple in a little shrine. He figured that one day she would eventually recover, and on that day she would face the crimes she made against the Lin Kuei.
When Armageddon had started, Taven traveled to the Lin Kuei Temple. Here he encountered with Sub-Zero, and Sub-Zero saw him as trespassing, so they fought. Sub-Zero was winning the fight, but did not carry on after seeing the dragon tattoo on Taven’s face. It was the exact same picture as seen on a door in the temple, which would be the same exact door that Taven traveled to the Lin Kuei Temple to find. Within the room that these doors closed off, there would be powerful armor left to Taven by his mother. Sub-Zero allows him passage into the room, and Taven goes in to retrieve it. Upon coming outside, Taven realizes that the temple is under attack once again, this time by Noob Saibot and Smoke. They have turned most of the Lin Kuei into cyborg demons, and Sub-Zero needed help. Taven agrees, and helps slay the cyborgs. Together, Taven and Sub-Zero defeat Noob and Smoke as well. Sub-Zero gives him thanks by telling him where the Red Dragon Clan resided. Sub-Zero then went to ‘cleanse’ Noob Saibot’s soul. Noob shriveled into the ground mid-process, whether he was successful or not, he does not know.
Sub-Zero then travels to the very top of the Pyramid of Argus to aid Taven in defeating Blaze. It was indeed Sub-Zero, that destroyed Blaze and gained his power. The power of Blaze combined with the Dragon Medallion made Sub-Zero powerful enough to become an Ice God. This was of course, was done without the Elder Gods’ consent. They thanked him by sending their greatest warriors after him. While battling these warriors atop the Pyramid of Argus, Sub-Zero noticed a white light…he now finds himself in This World.
