Weaknesses:
Baraka is more of a fighter than a bookworm. He may not be stupid in ways of combat, in which he’s a master, but he fails at pretty much everything else. His recovery isn’t all too good, as he’s fairly bulky for a middleweight. He tends to take on more than he can chew in the midst of battle, and will never run unless it wasn’t his battle to begin with.
Personality:
A very destructive personality. Baraka always longs for battle, and tries to get as much of it as he can. He’s also very sneaky, as he tends to betray those who are more powerful than him, and scheme their demise while seemingly staying faithful to them. He shows no care for anything in life, except Mileena of course. Baraka always longs for power, he longs to be the greatest thing in al the world, and defeat everything that opposes him in Mortal Kombat.
Likes:
To feel pain, to dish out pain, to battle, to destroy, to gain power, to train, to get what he wants, and Mileena.
Dislikes:
Loosing, missing out on a chance to fight, failing, crowds closed in around him.

History:
Long ago before Liu Kang had saved the realms from the evil ruler Shao Kahn, many combatants were raised to protect the winning title of Outworld. Among all of the various sorcerers and wizards, one Tarkatan, which are usually weaker alone and stronger in number, remained strong above the rest. This one Tarkatan was no more than a child, though he won nearly almost every battle, and was known as a brutal warrior. Shao Kahn challenged this creature, and although the child was far weaker than the fierce ruler of Outworld, he put up quite a fight. Shao Kahn beat the young Tarkatan and laughed as his body lied heaving on the floor, and he yelled out to the boy, “What is your name young warrior!?” And the Tarkatan replied, “My name is Baraka of the Tarkatan! I have come here to even best the likes of you in Mortal Kombat!” And the boy rose to his two feet, even though he was beaten badly. Shao Kahn’s interest sparked upon seeing the boy’s courage and determination. “You are a fine warrior, Baraka of the Tarkatan. You will live today, to be a warrior in my army tomorrow.” And Baraka was then put into Shao Kahn’s Army…
Leading up to the events of the second Mortal Kombat tournament, Baraka was told to lead an assault on the Shaolin Temple of Light in Earthrealm. This spurred Liu Kang to journey to Outworld and face off with Shao Kahn himself, as predicted by the dictator. During the tournament, Baraka met with a clone of the princess of Edenia infused with Tarkatan genes, Mileena. Of course, Mileena happened to be one of the most violent and most beautiful Tarkatan, and Baraka soon fell in love with her. He teamed up with this woman and desired to overthrow Shao Kahn and become king of Outoworld, and allow Mileena to be his queen. Shao Kahn though, had stopped these plans before they had come to life, and killed Mileena. Seeing that Baraka was outraged by this, Shao Kahn smiled before sending him to the lowlands of Outworld, so he could live with the pain of his lost love.
Not too long after this, Shao Kahn’s power was significantly decreased. Baraka no longer served Shao Kahn, and traveled the depth of Outworld alone. The necromancer, Quan Chi, approached this mighty warrior. Quan Chi offered Baraka the role of one who could rule by his side in the realm of Edenia, as long as the Tarkatan would join Shinnok’s army and successfully take it over. Eager for battle and with nothing else better to do, Baraka accepted. Baraka once again had his own agenda, as he planned to betray his new masters. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Shinnok was defeated utterly, and Baraka could not carry out his goals. After Shinnok was defeated, Baraka and Quan Chi parted their ways, and never came across each other again.
Baraka found a new master in the newly risen Dragon King, Onaga, in which he had faith in the strength of the creature. With the power of the Dragon King through persuasion, Baraka rose Mileena from the dead. Baraka had promised the Dragon King a distraction for the Edenian forces, and he and Mileena had done as much. Mileena, being born of the Princess of Edenia’s DNA, could easily pose as Kitana herself for as long as she keeps the veil which covers her Tarkatan face hidden. Since Princess Kitana had been gone for quite some time, Mileena returned to Edenia as if she were Princess Kitana, and no one question her. Baraka created a diversion, a bunch of Tarkatan raiding parties, and ordered them to attack various parts of the country. Mileena, still posing as Kitana, ordered the forces of Edenia to attack these Tarkatan trouble makers, as if they were the real threat. This gave Onaga enough time to gain power and plan the fall of the realms.
Mileena was eventually caught when Kitana went back to Edenia. The two fought, but before Mileena could be put to death, she escaped. Baraka escaped to, as Shujinko, the one who brought Onaga to life once again through deception, had come to take on the Dragon King, and Baraka left his master to die…Shujinko did win, though Onaga was not destroyed.
Baraka met back up with Mileena, hoping to gain some kind of power and rule with her as he had wanted to for years. The two have heard of the Pyramid of Argus rising out of the ground, and the fire demon, Blaze, resting at the top and waiting for the Mortal Kombat champion. Baraka and Mileena worked together and planned to get to the top and defeat the monster together so they could receive the prize from the Elder Gods, enough power to become a god. Baraka vowed to Mileena, “I, Baraka of the Tarkatan, shall defeat this Blaze creature. When and if I shall destroy it, I will make you, Mileena, my Queen.” And Mileena of course, accepted his semi-proposal gladly. At the very steps of the Pyramid of Argus, Baraka threatened both Onaga and Shao Kahn at the same time. “When I am granted the power of the Elder Gods, I, Lord Baraka, will have you bow before me! And if you disagree…you will fall victim to my blades.” Both men did not take kindly to these words, and attacked the Tarkatan. He held up a good fight, and would have died if it weren’t for Mileena who rushed in and helped him fight the two and defeat them. Baraka and Mileena were tired, though continued on their journey up the Pyramid. Blaze was too much for them though, as he easily sent them flying back down to where they came from in a matter of seconds.
Baraka and Mileena both laid next to each other at the bottom of the Pyramid, thinking they were about to die. Baraka looked into the eyes of the woman and said, “Don’t give up yet…we can’t die, we are strong Tarkatans…I will gain power, and you will be my Queen one day.” And before Baraka and Mileena knew it, they saw a strong flash of light. Baraka now found himself in This World…but Mileena was not by his side.
