Name of Location:
Dead Pool
Game of Origin:
Mortal Kombat II
Nintendo Appearance:
Mortal Kombat II
Neighboring Locations:
The Pit
Bestiary:
Bloody Skeletons, very few of them (Identical to the Blood Skeletons in Castlevania)
Appearence:
A long bridge with pure acid on either side. There are chains with hooks at the end on either side, that can lower into the acid.
History
A place created by Shang Tsung. Dead Pool was used to torture those who defied him, attempting to burn them within the acid by lowering them on hooks. Shang Tsung of course, favored this method of punishment. Though Shang Tsung favored this place of other places that were built for his amusement, he did not spend much time here, and did not treat any of the Mortal Kombatants to a ‘dip’ in his Dead Pool. (No more history on this location other than this. It’s an older location, not much were on these at all really. Non canon smash history starts here.)
The keepers of this place were trying to lower a disobedient servant of Shang Tsung into the bubbling acid below, but were very confused to see him turn into a trophy while being lowered, and melt in the acid rather than scream in horror. When they raised the chains once more, the man was gone, but a trophy stand stayed attached to the hook. Out of rage, the one keeper threw the trophy stand at the other, turning him into a trophy. More confusion ensued…and the keeper went to go seek his master, the great wizard Shang Tsung.
Events:
- The acid on either sides is pretty much exactly like the acid on Planet Zebes.
- On occasion, Bloody Skeletons may attack. They look like regular Skeletons, only they’re red.
- The hooks and chains all around can be grabbed on to. Unfortunately, the hooks may lower you downward into the acid. (Note: Acid is not an instant KO)
Anything Else:
Please, please, PLEASE! Do not abuse the rules because this is a Mortal Kombat location. If you wish to have trophy death, please keep it as light as possible as I have for my Castlevania posts, and as in this history, as where there is no horror or anything, just a destroyed trophy with NO. BLOOD. Also, character trophies may NOT be destroyed. Only unimportant NPCs.7.0
