Dr. Light's Lab: PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER (Mega)MAN!

Well this was a first, being asked if she was a robot. You'd think that would be a question saved for someone in a power suit. "I am a Vixen, and no I am not a robot. My name is Krystal." Krystal had a feeling he was a newcomer, just like Rock and these people (other then OS troops and Nell).

The blond woman simply sat there, trying to translate what they said. 'From the sound of things, a new enemy has arrived...Reaverbots, I remember Andy talking about them once.' She got back on the radio. "Settle down little ones, Ive already sent for a back up squad. A few Mid Tanks and Battle Copters are on their way as we speak, just hold out for a while longer."

[Stoney]

"I see..." Zero muttered, responding to all three people at once. Roll seemed oddly nervous, Mario had a bit of a depressed air about him, and Krystal...Krystal still baffled him. He knew of no vixen that stood on their hind legs and spokee human languages...was she a mutant, perhaps?

And...what was in the capsule everybody had been staring at when he walked in?

Zero gave the machine a cursory glance, turned back to the people in the room, paused, did a double-take, and rushed over to the capsule. For the first time since he'd arrived on This World, his face completely changed expression as shock over came him.

"X?!"

He peered through at the blue robot beyond, and shock slowly gave way to confusion. "No...it couldn't be..." He muttered, slowly peeling himself away from the glass window and stepping back. X looked older and had different armor...or at least, Zero THOUGHT he did. His memory wasn't the best...

"Who...who is that?" Zero asked the other people in the room as he pointed at the capsule's glass window. He was half-afraid of the answer they'd give...

[Vize Viper]

The occupant of the capsule was still not moving, until a small light on the side of the capsule lit up green. A moment later, the Blue Bomber's armor was remotely disengaged b the capsule, before with a mechanical hiss, it opened, allowing Rock to sit up, his eyes squinting for a moment before they settled on Zero.

He recognized two of the people present, Krystal and Mario, but this armored man in front of him, and the blonde girl... Oh, she was the one he mistook for Roll! But Dr. Light wasn't in the room, and usually Roll was waiting when he woke up from getting repaired, which raised... several important questions....

"Who're you two?" He asked, obviously speaking to Roll and Zero, before he continued. "... And where's dad and Roll?"

And as if on cue, ANOTHER Light bot's voice rang out from the next room.

"GET AWAY FROM ME, OLD MAN!"

"Blues, Please! I'm trying to help you! Just calm dow-"

"You can TAKE your help and SHOVE IT UP YOUR-"

"ZERO! COULD YOU COME HELP ME PLEASE!?"

"... Uhm... I... guess that answers where dad is..."

"!!!"

Upon seeing Mega Man spring to life inside the capsule, Mario ran over to it, nearly bumping Zero over in the process. The sudden shouting comming from the other room didn't divert his attention one bit.

"Rock! Are you okay?"

[AnT]

"Hmm..." The other old scientists rubbed his bearded chin. If there's highly hostile robots in the area, then... "Oh dear!! What about my little girl?? I do hope she isn't harmed so dearly!!"

With watery eyes, Theo raised his arms at Nell; a sinister smile escaped his sad facade. "I think I need a HUG!!"

No offense to the woman, a military army isn't going to be enough, especially against Mega Man Juno. So, Data leaped off the radio, jumping right on Theo's head.

"YEOWCH!!!" The monkey landed on him so hard, Theo was knocked over.


To see her childhood hero, up close, moving, and actually knowing her name ... or someone with her name ... Roll was just jumbled with so many emotions. Its amazing she didn't faint. But swallowing her nerves, Roll fought her way to say something. "Uh... well I..."

"KEE!!!!!" Suddenly, the robotic monkey bounced across the room, maneuvering around the tall figures until he faced Roll. Data hoped up and down like he never did, waving his arms with such frantic motion. "KEE KEE!! KEE KEE KEE! KE!!....Ke..."

But even his alarmed emotion popped like a balloon at the sight of a familiar face ... or a being who looked like a familiar face. This boy ... not only he felt like Rock ... he looked like him when he was his age.

"Kee?"

Unfortunate for Data, this Mega Man, like Roll and his Rock, would probably know what he said.

<"ROLL!! ROLL ROLL!!! THERE'S BIG PROBLEMS!! REAVERBOTS ARE....there.....Rock...?">

[Mage]

Krystal came up to Rock, smiling down at him. "Rock!" But then she stopped, when she looked over in the other room. "...what in the world?" Krystal hoped it wasn't an attack or anything, she wasn't in much of a mood to fend anyone off right now.

When Nell heard Theo, she looked down at him. "Why are you on the ground?" Then she saw Data hop off, and decided to follow him. "Data, wait up!" One of her high heels accidentally crushed down on the old man's head as she went out of the Flutter.

[Stoney]

Zero's eyes were closed, his thumb and forefinger pinching the bridge of his nose as he only paid half-attention to what everyone was saying. He was more focused on the cartoonish bangs, thumps, and other noises coming from the room next door -- punctuated by all manner of creative cursing.

His fingers finally moved upwards to rub the area of his forehead not covered by his helmet. "Excuse me a moment," He told the group as he rushed into the room Light had entered.

[Vize Viper]

Rock smiled up at Krystal and Mario as they both came over, deciding to answer Mario first, before dealing with the others... even as the blonde man left the room.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Mario. I should be asking if YOU'RE ok. You humans don't bounce back as easily as we robots do."

But before he had a chance to hear Mario's answer, Data came in... and much like talking to Rush, Rock understood every word out of him, but only one confused him, besides the monkey's reaction. Was it some sort of new support unit? ... Wait, was this blonde girl ROLL!? That could wait, though.

"... What's a Reaverbot? Sounds like trouble."

"... ... ..."

Mario laughed.

It wasn't that he found anything particularly funny, he was simply... relieved. Mega Man was alright. Not only that, but the first thing he did was ask Mario the very same question. And when the... monkey?... came in screaming about 'Reaverbots' or something, he looked like he was about ready to get in the fray again. This boy was a lot more resiliant than Mario first thought. It reminded him of...

... Well, himself.

"I'm... I'm-a fine, Rock," Mario assured, "I've been through-a worse. I was more-a worried about you, because..."

Mario trailed off as he felt some more pangs of guilt.

"... Because I-a promised you I'd protect you."

He seemed to somber back down quite a bit, but still not nearly as much as he was when he first entered the lab.

"... I'm-a sorry."

[AnT]

"Uh?" Knitted brows, Roll gawked at Mega Man, completely stunned that he knew what Data said. Strange, for Data only allows those he feels trustworthy to hear through his 'monkey signals'. But that mystery had to wait, as Roll picked up the monkey. "Reaverbots you say, Data?"

Rapidly, Data nodded. <"Yes! The Servbots are even having trouble. They just called through your radio systems.">

So Tron was also in trouble, which was highly annoying since that witch started this mess in the first place. What has that Bonne girl done this time? But right now, she like to see what's going on out there, and she knows how.

"Uh..." She stepped up to Mario and Rock Light. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but is there a TV in this room? I have to see what's going on out there!"

[Mage]

The fox girl smiled down at Rock. "I'm glad you're alright, Rock." Then she turned to the monkey, did ROB 64 need a pet? In any case, she started wondering about these "Reaverbots" too. "Reaverbots, I hope they aren't like the Aparoids..." Krystal remembered what a menace those things were, thankfully Fox defeated them a long time ago though.

The woman in purple ran inside. "There you are, Data." She came up, then looked over at Mega Man. "Oh, you must be that boy Krystal brought in."

[Vize Viper]

The boy robot shook his head lightly at Mario, smiling a little.

"Mario, trying to keep me safe is setting yourself up to fail. The best ou should hope for is watching my back."

Rock laughed, smiling at Nell as she came in. "The name's Rock... usually." Then Roll's request clicked, and he darted over to the main computer, which took up one wall of the main lab, his fingers fling across the keys at a speed that made it OBVIOUS he wasn't human, bringing up a television signal, which he quickly turned to the news.

Mario smiled a bit. He still felt like he let Mega Man down, but at least he didn't seem to mind. Letting his depression slowly fade away, Mario watched as the boy brought up the TV.

"Reaverbots?" he asked as he kept an eye on the screen, "What are those?"

Once again, the red haired reporter, Scarlet Garcia appeared, in front of Station Square in the background .... which was under a 'cloud' of robotic moths; moths that would make Krystal eat her words, for these robots look a bit similar to some of the Aparoids.

"In most breaking news, what turned into an Eggman attack is now a battle between two robotic armies. As you can see, from nowhere, robotic moths have now blanketed the city, mauling away even the buildings as we speak. Eggman's forces are even in battle against these monstrosities, and- wait a minute."

Someone off screen handed her a piece of paper.

"I just received word that our crew will be sending in their Omo-Chao camera unit to scour what is going on inside the city. Before these robots came, a couple of unknown brave warriors arrived to battle with Eggman's forces. So we'll have updated coverage soon." Flipping another page, "Also, our camera crew had got camera view of what appeared to be the leader of these insectoid robots."

A video of Harpuia fighting Juno on the skyscraper played. This was the scene where he unleashed his X-beam attack, shoving Juno inside the building before the Bacche Moths attacked the Reploid.


< "Oh no!!! It's Mega Man Juno!!!" > cried Data, still in his monkey signal that Mario, Krystal, and Nell would never understand.

Roll clenched her teeth nervously. She heard about this Juno from Yuna once, though she was a bit hurt that Rock never told her about him. Strange, for Yuna told her he was destroyed for good...unless this is the work of This World.

[Mage]

When the TV came on showing Station Square, it make Krystal think for a moment. 'The Master Hand brought Sonic's home here? Kind of him...!' Then she came in close to the screen when she saw the moths. "NO!" They looked a lot like Aparoids alright, but thanks to Scarlet's explanation on the enemy, Krystal calmed down a little. "This is bad..."

Nell was surprised at this new sight, the battle has escalated into something she couldn't possibly imagine. "...Oh my goodness..." She covered her mouth with a single hand. "Andy and Sami are in danger, and we don't have enough time to send in more reinforcements!" At such short notice, units like Bombers, Megatanks and Anti Air Missiles couldn't be made in time. And even if they did, the Stormbringer was already back at HQ being refueled and repaired from bringing Marina's ship to this lab. "This is terrible, what can I do to help them..." For the first time in months, Nell was in a panic.
