Moveset:
Please expand on a moveset for us. Tell us what all your character can do. and please do tell us how high he/she can jump, or if they have good recovering abilities. If the move can be used as a recovery, please insert an (R) in front of the move. The prefered moveset template is as seen below:
Special Moves: (Mandatory)
All "B" attacks are the "Special Moves" the characters can use. (Example: Bowser's Fire Breath.)
Standard Attack - Holy Punch- a divine glow surrounds Salade's fist as he smites his enemy. Slower and slightly stronger than Ganondorf's Gerudo Punch.
Upward Attack - 50 Year Kick- A powerful kick slams the foe, aided by fifty years of fighting demons. Sends Salade upwards as his bare foot is lifted by holy power. (R)
Downward Attack - Prayer- Salade holds his rosary and prays to the goddess, divine energy striking all who try to interrupt him. (counter move)
Side Attack - 50 Year Jab- A quick jab loaded with fifty years of harsh training.
Regular Attacks: Various punches, kicks, and flashes of holy light. Salade's made sure to keep himself unpredictable after fighting demons so long, though his aerials all lack the sheer power of his normal attacks. He works best on the ground.
Smash Attacks: Same as Salade's normal attacks, only much stronger and aided by divine blessing.
Grabs: (Optional)
The characters may grab in up to two different ways. You may ignore the second grab if you want.
Grab 1 - Hefts an opponent by the scruff of their neck.
Grab 2 - (What is this character's Secondary Grab?)
Taunts: (Optional)
Taunts are things that your character can use to taunt his/her enemy. These are usually the character's trademark actions.
Upward Taunt - Salade raises one hand palm-up to thank the goddess for her blessing. That position is used by all who follow Poitreen.
Downward Taunt - Salade laughs good-naturedly.
Side Taunt - Salade looks left, then right, then downs a quick bowl of udon out from under his robe.
Final Smash:
Holy Truth- Salade delivers the enemy a single punch, then walks away as divine light strikes them, saying as he leaves them that the attack was "In the name of the Maiden of Light." Doesn't look like much, but does an insane amount of damage.
Sadly, the demon there uses a defensive skill to drop the damage...
Weaknesses:
Physical- Salade's rather slow, can't jump high, and is honestly old. Dodging him isn't impossible once you figure out his moves, it's the holy light you need to watch out for, though admittedly his fist can probably go right through a wall of solid steel even without divine intervention... Also, he's unused to the idea of fighting in midair, so his aerials are weaker than his normal attacks.
Mental- Salade's a bit of a pervert, but he's loyal to his wife, and he'll believe people at face value, or at least appear to for a while. He's willing to give anyone a chance at redemption, that's why the Church of the Holy Maiden is known for purifying demons as well as slaying them.
Personality:
Salade's a religious, hearty old man with a body stronger than iron. He likes pretty girls in skimpy clothes, and prays every day. He's a man of simple pleasures, but he's a great deal smarter than he appears to be. He'll take everything you say with a grain of salt, pretend to believe you, and if he decides you may have been lying he'll get the truth out of you. The nurse at the church's clinic (free of charge to all, but they can't do everything) has made many a promise to never tell anyone about the times Salade's had to hit patients to get the facts.
Likes:
His wife, his church, laughing, food, pretty girls, fighting demons, more food, and praying to the goddess.
Dislikes:
Corrupters, evil-doers, fiends, and those who doubt the might of holy power. Also, he dislikes having to dress up and amuse the children at the orphanage, but his wife has the final say on that. Prier once kicked him in the gut (and failed to send him flying, to her shock) because he snuck up on her in a teddy-bear costume.
Appearance:

He's barefoot under that robe (always is) and is about as tall as Ike, though his shoulders are broader.
History: ((CONTAINS SPOILERS! Though I made sure not to use names anyway.))
When Salade was a young boy, he lived in a small village near a hellish cavern known as the Cave of Ordeals, in which the Prince of Darkness kept his most powerful servants. There in the cave the strongest of demons trained against eachother and anyone who came inside, all seeking to become the strongest of them all.
One day, the war between good and evil came to that snowy little village, as the Maiden of Light lead her attack against the Prince. She sealed the beasts within the cave, and little Salade was the only witness to the final battle between the Maiden and the Prince. It was a battle of miracles and curses, of light and dark, of gods and demons, and in the end it became clear to the maiden that the Prince's rage was too great even for her, so she sought the only spell she knew that could stop him, and cast a Miracle to seal the both of them within ice and lock their memories away, forcing the Prince to forget whatever started his fury.
Salade was greatly saddened by the Maiden's self-sacrifice, as whenever the spell fully unraveled and all their memories returned, she would die. Salade knew this was a terrible end for anyone, and he did his best to make her known throughout the kingdom, becoming a preacher for the Church of the Holy Maiden, training to battle demons, and always praying to the goddess for some miracle to save the Maiden from her self-made doom.
He went back into the Cave of Ordeals several years of hard training later, and fought against the demons within, strengthening his body and soul so he could defend the Maiden when she returned.
Eventually she did come back, with no memories at all, clutching her copy of the Holy Book like it was all she had in the world, and he couldn't even tell her that he knew her, as anything that made her remember put her that much closer to dying, and put the world that much closer to the return of the Prince of Darkness.
He lead the Maiden to join his church as part of the La Pucelle, it's demon-fighting experts, and for most of the story stood to the side, letting the members of La Pucelle grow on their own, so they too could be depended upon when the time came, and eventually it did, when the Maiden and the others gave the Prince (also an amnesiac, who'd amazingly enough joined the La Pucelle after finishing his mercenary days with the Church of the Divine Mother) the perfect reminder of his past- accidentally going into the past and watching as the source of his fury happened again. Salade joined the shortly after as the Prince started to return to his former state, fury about the death of his love driving his dark power to destroy all. He, Prier (Whom he personally trained in combat), and all the others eventually defeated the Prince, the half-demon trying to use the prince's power to destroy their world, and even Calamity, the fallen goddess who was Queen to the Prince, but in the midst of it the Maiden sadly died, or at least her body did. Shortly after the final battle, Salade had a dream about the goddess and a strange, talking hand, then when he woke up his church was in This World, and he had an uncanny feeling that the Maiden, and everyone he'd fought alongside, could be in this world, somewhere out there...
He'd let them come to him. It wasn't an old man's job to go hunting for lost allies, but once someone came he'd be perfectly happy to go with them.
Anything else? (Optional)
"Taste the weight of fifty years!"
