-Lucca learned how to use fire magic from Spekkio when she and her allies traveled to the end of time.
-She knows how to pilot Epoch, a flying time machine.
Specials:
1 neutral: Hypnowave: A green wave surrounds Lucca that temporarily puts nearby opponent’s to sleep. This move is comparable to Jigglypuff’s lullaby. The effect doesn’t last for long but it affects foes behind her and gives her time to evade opponents.
1 up: Gate (R): Lucca creates a small warp with her time key to travel to a different part of the stage. She has some control of the direction that she rematerializes in. While this move is great for recovery it doesn’t cause any damage but if a foe is close enough they will be pulled into the gate with her and reappear where she does.
1 down: Megaton Bomb: Lucca pulls out large bomb and kicks it a short distance. It explodes upon impact. This causes heavy damage if the opponent is hit by this attack but will still cause minimal damage if she misses her target as it creates a small dome of fire upon landing. This move is great for blowing up TNT boxes.
Side Attack: Flame Toss: Lucca hurls flames in a straight line burning foes in front of her. While it doesn’t have the range of Zelda’s Din’s Fire it is stronger. This attack is useful for blowing up TNT boxes.
Standard Attacks:
Most of Lucca’s standard attacks include the use of firearms.
2 neutral: Lucca shoots her opponent twice, throws her gun up in the air, does a backflip, catches it upon landing and shoots them again. While the lasers from her gun only cause minimal damage they have impressive range.
2 up: Lucca twirls her gun over her head. This attack has good knockback.
2 down: She crouches down low on one leg while the other lays straight in front of her and shoots a single shot at the foe.
2 side: She hits the foe with a rolling kick
Running attack: She runs covering herself in fire and slams into the enemy. The flames engulf her opponent causing extra damage.
Smashes:
2 side: Lucca blast out a large ring of fire forward. This attacks causes heavy damage and has good knockback but doesn’t have the range of her specials.
2 up: She bounds upward smashing into foes with a head-butt. This move causes heavy damage as she’s wearing a metal helmet.
2 down: A pillar of flame erupts from the ground around her sending foes airborne. This attack has good knockback.
Aerials:
1 neutral: She kicks forward.
1 up: She turns almost horizontally in the air and shoots upward.
1 down: She throws a bomb downward. This bomb is much weaker and smaller than her megaton bomb.
1 forward: She takes out two pistols and spins repeatedly while shooting. This attack has good knockback.
1 backward: He swings her hammer backwards.
Throws:
Up throw – she grabs the foe falls on her back and launches them into the air by kicking them upwards.
Down throw: She knocks them down and hits them in the back of the head with her gun.
Forward throw: she grabs the opponent and hits them with her hammer.
Backward throw: She grabs the foe and knocks them backward with a “mule kick”.
Grab: She scorches the foe with fire
Taunts:
Upward Taunt – She turns forward and adjusts her glasses
Downward Taunt – a small silver robot appears somewhat resembling Robo and dances as she bends down to touch it.
Side Taunt – She puts her hands on her hips and says “I’m a genius”!
Final Smash: Flare: After Lucca gets a smash ball she performs her strongest attack, Flare. Lucca levitates over the stage and suddenly becomes engulfed in a fiery aura. She begins blasting large fireballs from her hands that explode when they hit the stage and then ricochet gradually becoming smaller until they turn to sparks. These fireballs can easily K.O enemies and will cause mayhem below, especially if any TNT boxes are lying around. After 15 seconds she reverts back to normal.
Weaknesses:
Lucca is middleweight because of the armor that she wears but still can easily be sent off the stage when facing a heavy hitter. She lacks physical strength and while she’s light on her feet her armor weighs her down. She tends to fall faster than most characters which limits the air combos she can use. Lucca doesn’t have much patience and often can’t identify with people due to her high intelligence. She tends to hold things in and often confuses people with the jargon she uses.
Personality:
She is a brilliant inventor and Crono's childhood friend. She is very witty and tends to make flippant comments during serious moments. Using her intelligence and creativity, Lucca invents many devices, such as a battle-training robot named Gato ("Gonzales" in the Japanese version) and a short-range teleporter called The Telepod. Lucca battles with a gun and hammer, and when she meets Spekkio she learns to cast Fire magic.
Likes:
Inventing, technology, science, studying, firearms, her friends, and analysis.
Dislikes:
Magus (initially), Lavos, when her inventions don’t work, not being able to save her mother from losing her legs, and frogs.

History:
Lucca's Telepod is scheduled to be presented on the first day of the Millennial Fair. Her father, Taban, also an inventor, assists her. Crono and his new friend, Marle, are first to test the device. Crono successfully teleports. However, this device causes Marle to go back in time. Crono follows her immediately. Lucca eventually catches up after creating the Gate Key to ensure safe and speedy time-traveling. It is also Lucca who realizes Marle is a Princess and when the team attempts to save the Princess' ancestor and restore history, she tries to talk Crono out of allowing a Frog knight to join the party. Later, when Frog is filled with shame for letting the Queen fall captive, Lucca tries to stop him and finally confesses that he was not a bad guy after all. Lucca in the FMV. When Crono is accused of abducting Marle, Lucca rescues him from the Prison Towers in Guardia Castle and single-handily disarms several royal officials in the process. Fleeing the Present to evade the Chancellor and his guards, Lucca and her friends enter a Gate that leads thirteen hundred years into the Future. In the Proto Dome, a robotic-man is discovered. Lucca uses her skill with machines to repair the robot. He later joins the party and s quite partial to her, even to the point of calling her "Madam Lucca", a formality seen in the southern region of the United States which dovetails perfectly with his dated chivalrous manner. In one of the full motion videos (FMV) from the PlayStation and Nintendo DS versions, Lucca is trapped by several hostile Robots. Robo rescues her shortly after. Later, when the party recovers Dreamstone to repair the Masamune, Lucca aids Melchior in fixing the blade. Likely, she lends assistance because of her savviness with technology, but also, in the smelting of swords, fire is needed and Lucca's element is Fire. Lucca blames herself for the accident that claimed the legs of her mother, Lara, in 990 A.D., an incident which motivates her to study science. During the course of her time-travels, an opportunity opens for her to revisit that moment and change the events. Saving Fiona's Forest opens the a Gate to that time period and it is believed by many that an unnamed deity opened the Gate to allow her a second chance. In 990 A.D. Lucca encounters a younger version of herself. In the ending scene, Lucca eventually creates a mini-robot modeled after Robo. In the same scene, Lucca finds an infant with a pendant that in Chrono Cross turns out to be Kid, the clone of Schala, and takes her in. Lucca appears in several of the alternate endings of the game. In one, she and Marle narrate the credits as they roll by. In another, she and Marle ogle Glenn, who has recently transformed back into a man.
