Specials:
1 neutral: Robo Tackle: Robo Runs in place as he gains momentum to tackle his opponent. When he’s ready to strike he dashes forward to smash into a foe shoulder first sending them flying backwards. This attack causes considerable damage and has great knockback but can be easily dodged because Robo lacks speed. He moves about two character lengths.
1 up: Robo Whirl (R): Robo spins upward in a similar fashion to Wario’s up special. However, his causes more damage if a foe comes in contact with him as he leaps upward. Robo gets virtually no horizontal distance but gets impressive height.
1 down: Shock: Robo’s metal plates separate and sparks emanate from them covering his body with electricity. This temporarily adds electrical damage to all of his attacks. The effect we’ll wear off in about ten seconds.
Side Attack: Rocket Punch: Robo sends a spring loaded fist flying forwards that hits foes in front of him. This attack has good knockback and impressive range but the fist doesn’t damage foes as it returns to him.
Standard Attacks:
2 neutral: Robo punches the enemy twice and then does a small jump bringing his fists down on his opponent’s shoulders.
2 up: Robo punches upward.
2 down: Robo tries to trip his opponent with a low sweeping kick.
2 side: Robo does a belly flop.
Running attack: Robo lunges with a flying tackle.
Smashes:
2 side: Laser Spin: Robo spins twice with both arms spread out. He unleashes a powerful beam from the laser cannon on his right arm while he’s spinning. He travels one character distance forward while he performs this attack.
2 up: Uzzi Punch: Robo charges his fist and smashes in an upward motion into the enemy with earth-shattering force. This attack has great knockback and has high K.O potential.
2 down: Robo Stomp: Robo bounds and smashes down with a powerful stomp. It causes heavy damage if the opponent but still causes considerable damage if a foe is by the shockwave he creates when hitting the ground.
Aerials:
1 neutral: He does a cannonball.
1 up: Robo punches both fist upward repeatedly.
1 down: He comes down hard smashing foes below with his butt. This move is similar to Yoshi’s Yoshi Bomb. It can be a meteor smash if it fully connects.
1 forward: He spins horizontally with both fists held out in front of him.
1 backward: A spin kick
Throws:
Up throw – He grabs the enemy and slams them upward with an uppercut.
Down throw: He grabs the foe throws them down and then puts his arms to his sides and falls on them front first. This throw has good knockback.
Forward throw: He grabs the opponent lifts them up by their neck and throws them forward.
Backward throw: He lifts the foe up with both hands and hurls them a great distance to the left.
Grab: He punches the foe.
Entrance: He appears out of a portal and does a battle stance raising his fist.
Taunts:
Upward Taunt – Robo does the robot!
Downward Taunt – Robo rubs himself with a towel and his metal body sparkles.
Side Taunt –He spins around so rapidly that he gets dizzy and falls down on his rear.
Final Smash: Area Bomb: Robo bends down slightly and puts his arms out in front of him as smoke starts spewing from the cooling apparatus on his back. The metal plates on his exoskeleton flay and white sparks emerge from them while he charges this attack. He will start to glow red right before the energy build-up explodes consuming most of the stage. This attack easily K.Os opponents.
Weaknesses:
While Robo boast strength and attacks like Shock that augments his physical strength even more if doesn’t compensate for Robo’s low jumps and lack of speed. Robo doesn’t have many emotional weaknesses because well he’s a robot but he does have sympathy towards humans which the other robots from Geno Dome would call say is misplaced.
Personality:
Robo is shown to be very curious. Unable to comprehend human emotions at first, he analyzes and studies humans, taking them to be a very interesting, perplexing race. He is sympathetic towards humans, and refrains from the brutal killing and slaughtering of humans, unlike multiple robots in the Geno Dome.
Likes:
Robo likes his friends (especially Lucca, who repaired him), emotions, Atropis XR, and nature.
Dislikes:
Lavos, Mother Brain, The R series, the fate of humans in his time, and being considered a weapon.
History:
Having a curious and bright personality, he was rendered dormant by the Apocalypse in 1999 AD, but is found and repaired by Lucca in the year 2300 AD. Upon his reactivation, Robo has no memory of his prior mission and joins the party. Alongside Crono, Robo assists in shutting down the power in Derelict Factory, which controls the power of the nearby domes, and thus permits access to a Gate back to the Present. Within the Factory, Robo shares a not-so-warm reunion with the R-Series, his former comrades and mechanical brothers. Their combined effort damages Robo severely, but Crono and his friends succeed in preventing the R-Series Robots from causing permanent damage. Robo as the party found him in the FMV of the PlayStation release. Entering the Gate with his companions, he accidentally ends up at the End of Time where Gaspar explains only three beings can travel through a Gate simultaneously to avoid ending up there. After the resurrection of Crono atop Death Peak, Robo learns that he originated from Geno Dome, a robo-producing Factory east of the Derelict Factory and isolated on an island. There, he is punished by his corrupted maker, Mother Brain, for having sympathy for humans, and he meets his long-lost companion robot Atropos XR. For the first time since Lucca reactivated him, he remembers his true function was to survey and service humans and prevents Mother Brain from spreading her poisonous tyranny to the other robots. In the Middle Ages, Robo volunteers to spend four hundred years restoring Fiona's Forest. During this time, Robo ponders the existence of an Entity, a being who seemingly guided Crono and his friends through time the intended purpose of intervening in affairs the Entity grieves. He explains his theory to the party when reunited outside the Forest Shrine in 1000 AD. After defeating Lavos, Crono's companions return to their own periods. Lucca and Robo share a touching farewell, the latter explaining that Lucca had showed him the meaning of human emotion. Thereafter, he procrastinates entering the Gate back to the Future, fearing that because he toyed with time, so to speak, he would cease to exist in his original time period. However, in the most common ending of Chrono Trigger, Robo still exists in the new timeline and as the Epoch is searching for Crono's mother, Robo and Atropos XR are seen overlooking a more beautiful landscape (as Lavos didn't destroy it in 1999 AD).
