Where do they live? Anywhere seen in the Smash Bros. series is acceptable, and also any locations that could fit and be imported into the world of Smash.
Occupation:
Pokémon Trainer/Researcher assistant
Moveset:
Absol
(Standard) Razor Wind- Absol will be surrounded by a wind that can do multiple damage, depending on how long you charge this move. This move also pushes her up.
(Forward) Night Slash- Absol zips forward, slashing a foe she passes.
(Upward) Ice Beam- She can fire a ice beam that freezes an enemy.
Marshtomp
(Standard) Water Pulse- Marshtomp shoots out ring-ray of water, that sometimes confuses the foe for one turn.
(Upward) Muddy Water- Marshtomp rides in a muddy wave. It may sometimes slow down a foe for a bit.
(Forward) Brick Break- Marshtomp throws a powerful punch that could knock a foe from blocking.
Shiftry
(Standard) X-Scissor- Shiftry slashes, leaving out a X-shaped energy that'll damage a foe or two.
(Forward) Energy Ball- Shiftry fire a energy ball gathered from nature.
(Upward) Silver Wind- Shiftry rides in a beautiful twister. If Shiftry attacks while doing this, his attack increases by +1 dice.
Final Smash:
Nature Bomb: With Shifty's Solarbeam, combined with Absol's Hyper Beam to shove Marshtomp's Mud Bomb, the three Pokémon put together a powerful yet thin beam, but once hit, it'll explode, taking many foes nearby.
Weaknesses:
Brendan isn't much for battle. He would try to escape it as possible. Absol's defense is on the low side, making her easy to take down. Marshtomp's on the slow side, plus his special attacks lack power. They're mostly good for their effects. Shiftry's power lacks as well, as he's built for speed and melee attacks.
Personality:
Brendan, compared to May, is mostly calm, and a bit of a pacifist. He's not much into battling, even though he has talent in it. Brendan tends to try to think before acting, and not get involved in conflicts. He's somewhat a worry-wart, which results him to 'nag', as May would put it. Brendan is quite strategic and patient, compared to May's 'act-before-thinking' ways.
Likes:
Studying Pokémon, peace and quiet, filling the Pokedex
Dislikes:
battling, May's headstrong attitude
Appearance:
History:
When he was a young child, Brendan was pretty gung-ho in battling. But then, when he 'borrowed' his father's Pokémon to have a battle, it's attacks backfired and angered a Tentacruel, which it went on a rampage and harassed a young girl in the waters; May Maple. Brendan's dad managed to save her, but he got into trouble for that, and by the look at May's traumatized eyes, Brendan vowed to never battle again.
Years later, Brendan, now Prof.Birch's assistant, was filling the Pokedex when he spotted May and her Torchic being cornered by a Mightyena, a leader of the pack that attacked Prof. Birch and May saved him. Brendan tried to solve this peacefully, but May's brash actions kept getting in the way as she battled the large dog.
Since then, these two bickered, as their differences clashed. But as they say; opposites attract as these two kept running into each other. This went on until they got mixed up in the Team Aqua/Magma plot.
With that done, Brendan went back to his Pokedex quest...until he stumbled with May to This World.
