NOTE: This app is pretty much complete, and in a state where it can be either approved or disapproved. The only reason there was a 'WIP' in the title was to remind myself to add miscellaneous data about the rest of Kirby's Brawl moveset (standard moves, aerials, grabs, throws, etc.) to this app for reference purposes later. It'll all be information taken directly from Brawl itself, so there won't be anything new that'll need review or approval.

Moveset:
PROPERTIES
-Kirby is full of hot air…and cold air too. His elastic body has many of the same properties as a balloon, and when he sucks in a breath and holds it, he can float for several seconds above the ground before growing tired and falling down. This tactic gives Kirby tremendous recovery power when he is knocked off a platform, but in return it also makes him easier to knock off.
-It is difficult to give Kirby any permanent damage, as his rubbery body tends to shrug off most strikes. He can still be bruised, however, and the best approach when attacking him is to use blunt force strikes rather than trying to cut or scratch him.
-If Kirby battles against another opponent that can steal opponents’ attacks (such as Mega Man or Mew), and that opponent is using a stolen power, Kirby can likewise steal said power back from them and use it himself.
SPECIALS
Neutral Special: Inhale
Kirby’s primary characteristics are his bottomless stomach, insatiable appetite, and his ability to eat all nearby items and enemies by opening his mouth and inhaling like a vacuum cleaner. Using this ability makes Kirby suck anything in the area immediately in front of him into his mouth.
-When Kirby eats a person, he may either spit them back out at high speed for minor damage or swallow them to copy their Neutral Special ability.
-When Kirby copies an ability, he gains a special hat shaped in the likeness of his opponent.
-Kirby can only use one copied power at a time.
-Kirby can discard a power he is currently using so that he can gain a new one.
Up Special: Final Cutter
In "Kirby Super Star", this ability could be gained by swallowing the knightlike enemy Sir Kibble. Doing so would give Kirby a hat with a sharp blade attached to the top like a mohawk; Pressing the attack button rapidly would cause Kirby to detach this blade and swing it around for a multi-hit combo that would make him ascend high into the air before slamming back down to the ground again. In the Super Smash Bros. universe, a shorter version of this combo is used that features only the ascent and descent.
-If Kirby hits the ground at the end of this move, a shockwave is sent flying a short ways ahead of him, making this his only non-copied projectile move.
-If there is no ground underneath Kirby for him to hit (such as if he uses this move too far away from the edge of the stage), he will continue falling until he exits the bottom of the stage, automatically KOing himself.
Side Special: Hammer Swing
In "Kirby Super Star", swallowing the ape mid-boss Bonkers would grant Kirby the use of a giant wooden mallet. This weapon was very powerful, but slow to use, and these attributes have been faithfully translated to Super Smash Bros.
-This move is executed differently depending on whether Kirby is in the air or on the ground at the time it is used.
-On the ground, Kirby takes one giant swing with the hammer. The swing has significant warm-up and cool-down periods that leave Kirby vulnerable to attack before and after the move is executed.
-In the air, Kirby may either somersault 360 degrees with the hammer held out in front of him for a weak attack that reaches all sides around him (Melee version), or spin in place twice while swinging the hammer in front of him for a more powerful attack that reaches a limited area (Brawl version).
Down Special: Stone Drop
Death from Above! This ability has existed in all of the Kirby games since Kirby’s Dream Land 2. When Kirby uses it, he transforms into a very heavy object and falls to the ground at high speed, damaging opponents underneath him.
-Kirby is invincible to most damage while transformed, but he is still vulnerable to being grabbed and thrown.
-Besides harming opponents under him while falling, Kirby cannot attack or move while transformed.
-When Kirby ends this move and transforms back into his usual pink self, there is a small one-and-a-half second cooldown period wherein he cannot attack and becomes vulnerable to damage.
-Kirby can transform into several objects, which all deal different amounts of damage and are selected via random die roll. They are, from weakest to strongest: a rock, a rectuangular block from the game Yoshi’s Cookie, a Thwomp from Super Mario 64, a two-ton weight, and a spiked ball.
Final Smash:
CHEF KIRBY
Dinner Time! Kirby starts feeling hungry and decides to do something about it.
Donning a white chef’s hat, Kirby summons a large copper pot out of nowhere and bangs together a fork and knife above his head; the sound draws all nearby items and opponents into the pot, where they are promptly cooked, stirred, seasoned, and then spat out again. All items caught in the pot become various types of food; all opponents caught in it get shot out like fireworks.
Weaknesses:
-Kirby is the lightest character of all with the possible exception of Jigglypuff; he is literally filled with air.
-For the purposes of Smash Bros., Kirby cannot reclaim powers that he has discarded.
-Kirby’s stomach rules over his mind with a metaphorical iron fist. He will do anything to sate his hunger, including falling headfirst into obvious traps.
-The moment Kirby starts feeling tired, he proceeds to fall asleep for a quick nap. This can happen at the most inopportune times, including in the middle of battles.
-Kirby can’t communicate very well and has a very limited vocabulary of spokeen words. He generally tries to convey his intentions through gestures and mime.
-The only parts of Kirby’s body that are suitable for attacking are his feet; his arms are too short, soft, and stubby to be of any use in a fistfight.
Personality:
Kirby is very simple-minded, and as such doesn’t actually have much personality to speak of. Most of his actions are motivated by two powerful instincts, sleepiness and hunger. He has a crude moral code and occasionally reveals that what little personality he does have is geared towards being nice to people, but you won’t catch him waxing philosophy anytime soon.
In short, Kirby is generally a nice guy to everyone unless he’s hungry. Then he might try to eat you.

Appearance:
Kirby has a simple appearance. He is essentially a round, pink ball of fluff with two pyramidal red feet and two stubby arms. His face is set in the middle of his body, two long ovular eyes and a very elastic mouth that can stretch from a tiny hole to a massive chasm half the size of his body. He also has two cherry-red dimples on his cheeks for some unknown reason.
In Kirby’s native universe, he is barely eight inches tall. In This World, he is a head shorter than Mario; a little less than three feet high.
History:
Nobody knows where Kirby came from, unfortunately; his past is as much a mystery as where he puts away all the food he eats. What is known about him is the heroic role he has undertaken as Dreamland’s savior and protector countless times.
Kirby never intended to gain such a position; usually he was just hungry and looking for something to eat. Yet somehow his explorations in search of food always took him straight into the lair of enemies bent on Dreamland’s destruction, and Kirby fought against them in self-defense. Incredibly, he always emerged victorious from these encounters.
King DeDeDe has been one of Kirby’s frequent enemies in the past, though now they are more along the lines of friendly rivals than anything else. Being the self-imposed King of Dreamland, DeDeDe usually abused his power in the past by doing selfish things like stealing and hoarding all of Dreamland’s food for himself. Each and every time, Kirby followed the food trail to DeDeDe’s castle and set the King straight.
Meta Knight has also been a frequent rival of Kirby in the past; usually he demanded that Kirby face him in singular combat while using his Sword ability, so that they might have a fair fight. In “Kirby Super Star”, Meta Knight threatened to take over Dreamland and impose his own personal code of ethics on the populace in order to preserve the peace; Kirby boarded his battleship, the Halberd, and defeated Meta Knight there once again, blowing the Halberd up in the process and ruining Meta Knight’s plans.
Also in “Kirby Super Star”, we discovered that the kingdom of Dreamland is not limited to one planet but rather spans an entire solar system. Kirby’s home planet within this system is the yellow, star-shaped Planet Popstar, and it is here where such iconic Kirby locations as Green Greens, Butter Building, and Grape Gardens are located.
In “Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards”, Kirby explored the other planets within Dreamland’s solar system while helping the young fairy Ribbon, whose planet was taken over by the evil force Dark Matter. Kirby spends much of the game searching for magical crystal shards that could combine into the Dream Crystal, a holy relic intended to purge Dark Matter from Ribbon’s home planet. Kirby and Ribbon eventually succeeded in their quest, and Dark Matter was expelled into the void of outer space. It has not been seen since.
