Name:
Gallade
Game of Origin:
Pokémon Diamond/Pearl
Nicknames:
Gally, Lade, Galahad
Age:
18... ish.
Species:
Pokémon
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Neutral
Type:
On the line between Medium and Light
Stats:[/b]
HP- 81
PP- 7
LP- 8
Residence:
Wanders, usually found in forests.
Occupation:
Pokémon
Moveset:
Up: Teleport - This ability is almost identical to Mew and Mewtwo's ability of the same name, except it has shorter range... and Gallade swings his blades around himself when he reappears, causing damage if he connects an attack.
Standard Fury Cutter - Gallade dashes forward, and slashes three times. If all three slashes connect, this attack could almost be a one-hit KO, as each successful hit (in a row) does double the damage of the last hit. If it misses, the damage resets to normal.
Forward Psycho Cut - Gallade gathers psychic energy around each arm blade, and swipes them forward, launching the energy forward as two spinning blades.
Down: Protect - Gallade crosses his arms, and is surrounded by a green bubble that completely negates the next attack he would be struck by. Gallade can't do anything else while using Protect except drop the Protection.
Other Attributes: Gallade is a very fast and agile Pokémon, capable of jumping VERY high, if he double jumps. His normal jump is actually only slightly higher than Mario's, while his second jump is one and a half times higher than that, assisted by his psychic power.
In combat, Gallade puts his arm blades to very effective use, relying on them for all his attacking, rather than his fists or feet. His throws are all actually psychic grabs, combined with powerful slashes or tosses.
Final Smash:
Giga Impact - Gallade begins to glow with gold light as he leaps up out of sight. A few moments later, he comes down out of the sky, surrounded by a gold and purple sphere of energy, crashing into the stage, and sending out a shockwave so powerful that it sends anyone it hits FLYING. If someone is unfortunate enough to be DIRECTLY in this attack's path and are struck by it, they are hit with enough force to IMMEDIATELY turn them into a trophy.
Weaknesses:
Gallade is pretty light for his size, relying on his speed or teleporting to help him avoid damage. This makes him easy to KO, especially be a larger opponent. His psychic powers aren't as strong as the COULD be, considering his counterpart, Gardevior's abilities, making him the eventual loser in any psychic battle.
Personality:
Gallade is a chivalrous, honorable combatant, refusing to fight a defenseless enemy, or one he believes is out of their league. If attacked, he WILL defend himself, but prefers to use only enough force to stop an opponent, not turn them into a trophy.
Likes:
Combat with an honorable opponent; having time to himself, but being able to talk to people when he wishes to; training, alone or with others.
Dislikes:
Opponents who fight dirty, mainly; being forced to fight those who simply have no chance against him.
Appearance:
History:
There really isn't much to Gallade's history. He hatched from an egg, and fought HARD to make himself stronger, nearly gaining enough experience in the world to become a Gardevior, thank to a trainer who caught him as a Kirlia, helping him fortify his body, and naming him Galahad, a fact most people don't know... Because his trainer was killed in a rock slide on Mt. Coronet, only days after his trainer gave him a Dawn Stone, turning him into a Gallade, to be "her knight", her most valued teammate.
So Galahad ran. He went back into the wild, after releasing his trainer's other Pokémon... And from that point on swore to never serve another trainer again, believing it would sully his memory of her. Since then he's faced several trainers trying to catch him, and fought all of them off... a pattern he suspects will make up the rest of his life.
Anything else?
Like all Psychics, Gallade can communicate telepathically, but he lacks the power to read more than surface thoughts.
