Age:
19 years old
Species:
Pokémon, Gengar
Gender:

Bad

Middleweight Class

Darkness Ridge
Occupation:
Leader of Team Meanies
Moveset:
Upward- Shadow Punch: Gengar throws a Shadow Punch up at an enemy or simply to recover from a fall while jumping. It is similar to Mario's Super Jump Punch.
Standard- Lick: Gengar attacks with his tongue. He just...kinda.. licks them. The attack may leave the enemy paralyzed for 2 turns.
Side- Double-Edge: Gengar violently throws himself and tackles the opponent. This attack also leaves a fair amount of damage on Gengar (about 25%) if it hits.
Down- Hypnosis: The opponent is hypnotized and put into a deep sleep. It leaves the same effect as Jigglypuff's Sing or Mewtwo's Disable. The opponent is asleep for 3 turns.
Final Smash:
Dream Eater- After Gengar obtains the Smash ball, he releases black circles from the motions of his hands that expand to all of the battlefield. This is his hypnotic suggestion which puts all players to sleep. As they sleep he eats their dreams, sapping their energy, which is used to recover his own. This is a damage inflicting attack as well as a recovery one.
Weaknesses:
Gengar is weakened by Psychic, Ground (but not effected by them because of his Ability: : Levitate), and Dark attacks. Normal type attacks do not effect him.
His big ego can cause him to run into things without thinking, such as into battles against stronger opponents, pulling tough heists, or not heading warnings. He also has a guilty conscience, and always repays whoever he owes. His bad attitude also gives him many enemies and he is disliked by many other Pokémon.
Personality:
Gengar is a mischievous, trouble-making Pokémon. He enjoys causing trouble for people and then laughing at their dismay. He is slick, and very aware of it. Thus, he has a swollen head and is somewhat narcissistic. He has a bad habit of not doing what he is told, and only doing what he thinks is right (even though it may be completely wrong). He is completely prone to reverse psychology. He is very greedy and power hungry, which are his reasons for leading a Rescue Team. He doesn't care for morals or others; he lies to get out of trouble (he has a fear of facing consequences) and steals whatever whenever he needs something.
However, Gengar has a soft spot that he shows rarely and an adoration for cuteness. Though he's usually tough and heartless, he can be a coward and flees when situations become too dangerous for him. He sticks up for those who stick up for him. He is extremely loyal to his allies and friends. He mostly looks out only for himself, but once a strong friendship is created, he is loyal and supportive to the core. But due to his personality, a friendship is hardly ever made.
Likes:
Gardevoir, Playing tricks on others, the expressions on people's faces when they're scared, warmth, impressing other's, being the center of (positive) attention, pit pocking, lounging, bossing others around and being his own boss, the mountains, the darkness, and leveling up/getting stronger
Dislikes:
Being scolded, being wrong, danger, following rules/other's orders, the cold, working too hard (he sends others to do his dirty work or tricks others into helping him), when others are getting more attention than he, the light, overly crowded areas, and when others are stronger than he

History:
In his past life, Gengar was a human and even a Pokémon trainer. When traveling with his Pokémon, he crossed paths with a Ninetales. He had heard the old legend that touching the tail of the fox Pokémon was terribly unlucky and a curse would be left on those who dare to perform the deed. Being mischievous, he stroked one of the tails for his own amusement. The Ninetales wasn't amused and when she placed the curse, his best Pokémon and dear friend, Gardevoir, took the burden of the curse for him. The Ninetales told him, "Foolish human. Do you want to save your friend, Gardevoir?"
In fear of Ninetales, Gengar fled and abandoned Gardevoir. Gardevoir fainted and passed soon afterwards due to the effects of the curse. Ninetales then created a prophecy that he would become reincarnated into a Pokémon and "destroy the world".
Gengar placed the blame on a young boy named Ginji, who was turned into a Torchic and sent to the Pokémon world. He told the other Pokémon that HE was the cursed human who angered Ninetales and causing the natural disasters in the Pokémon world. He first had the intention of distorying the Pokémon world in revenge. However, he ended up joining forces with Ginji and his rescue team partner Mudkip to rid the world of the plagues. Mudkip had taken Groudon's rock attack meant for Gengar, which reminded him of Gardevoir. Learning from his past mistake, Gengar aided the other Rescue Teams in defeating Groudon who was on a rampage and damaging the world.
He currently lives near Pokémon Square in Darkness Ridge. He created his own Rescue Team, Team Meanies, with his allies Ekans and Medicham. They steal mail and other rescue missions from other teams. While other rescue teams have the wellbeing of other Pokémon in mind, Gengar and his team rescue for the fame, power, and money.
