Name of Location:
Mercay Island
Neighboring Locations:
Temple of the Ocean King
Bestiary:
ChuChus - They are able to ram into you and cause damage. You can attack them which will make them disintegrate.
Cuccoos - They will just stand there until you attack them. After a few attacks, they will turn red and start to attack you! One hit causes sever damage, so be careful!
Appearance:
Players battle on top of Oshus' house and on the fence.
History
This is the place where T. Link wakes up in the Phantom Hourglass. He meets Ciela, Oshus, and Linebeck here, and it is also the location of the Temple of the Ocean King. (NOTE: The rest comes from the Zelda Wiki)
Many earthquakes occur on the island. These earthquakes often cause the bridges to colapse causing the inhabitants to get from one side of the island to the other by going around the long way. These paths are dangerous with dark caves and monsters along the way. In the main village on Mercay there is a store selling Treasure, Potions, Power Gems and a Wooden Shield. There is a Milk Bar as well where Link must ask about Linebeck's whereabouts. Additionally there is a harbor where Link can get the Salvage Arm repaired and change ship parts, giving the ship more stamina and a different look.
Events:
From time to time, there are earthquakes. This can cause trees to fall over onto the house (though there is no damage done to it). If they hit someone, they take damage. The trees can act as newly open platforms, and remain that way for the remainder of the time on the stage.
Anything Else:
Sometimes, you can see Oshus, Ciela, or Linebeck wandering in the background.
