Name:
Giovanni (Sakaki)
Game of Origin:
Pokémon Red and Blue
Nicknames:
Boss, "Giovanni Of The Land"
Age:
44 years old
Species:
Human
Gender:
Male.
Alignment:
Bad, to the MAX
Type:

Heavyweight= Rhydon
Middle Class = Nidoking
Lightweight = Persian
Residence:
Viridian City
Personal Relationships: (optional)
Jessie, James, Meowth- employees
Delia Ketchum (Ash's Mother)- Old Girlfriend
Silver (Rival from Gold/Silver Version)- Son
Occupation:
Head of Team Rocket,
Former Gym Leader of Viridian City
Moveset:
Rhydon-
Upward- Stomp: Rhyhorn jumps high and falls straight down. He stomps on his enemy with his descend. Similar to King Dedede's Super Dedede Jump.
Standard- Body Slam: Rhyhorn violently throws himself at a nearby opponent.
Side- Tail Whip: Rhydon brushes his enemy with his tail to push them across the battle field. This attack deals no damage.
Down- Rock Slide: Rhydon produces a small shower of rocks that fall down from above him to hit a close range enemy.
Nidoking-
Upward- Horn Drill: Nidoking jumps with his head straight outward. The horn on his forehead spins to drill through his enemies. Nidoking's body spins too when he is in mid-air. Based on Wario's Corkscrew.
Standard- Blizzard: Nidoking releases a small, but powerful blast of freezing air from his mouth. It freezes the foe on contact. Looks like Bowser's standard attack (only with ice!).
Side- Poison Sting: Nidoking thrusts his head in a forward motion to release a poison pin from his forehead. It looks like Lucas' PK Fire attack but the poison saps energy from the enemy for 4 turns like Lips Stick.
Down- Double Kick: Nidoking quickly kicks downward vertically twice in a row. The force from his kicks sends him straight down when done in the air.
Persian-
Upward- Double Team: Persian moves rapidly at a fast speed to recover from falls. He pounces upward, leaving an afterimage under himself. This illusion damages enemies when they come in contact. Similar to Fox's Fox Illusion but vertical.
Standard- Slash: Persian claws at a nearby enemy with his razor sharp claws. This attack has a high critical hit ratio and may send the foe flying (Like Jigglypuff's Rest or Wario's Wario Waft).
Side- Screech: Persian emits a high frequency cry that damages the ears. The foes are left paralyzed and in the condition they would be if their shield was broken (all red and dizzy).
Down Toxic: Persian quickly spits out a hairball poisonous sludge from his mouth. Nearby enemies who are doused in it become poisoned badly. The amount of damage taken from their status increases every turn (for four turns).
Final Smash: Moltres- Giovanni pulls out a new pokéball from his coat pocket and (lightly) kicks it onto the battle field. Moltres is released from the ball and begins to rampage and thrash about. It breaths fire down on the field as it flies across it back and forth, instantly KO-ing any player on there. It gives one last roar while spreading its wings, then Giovanni calls it back into the Pokeball.
Weaknesses:
Giovanni's Pokémon team has little variety of Pokémon types in his party. So his choice can be easily predicted and defeated by type disadvantage. His employees can also be a weakness due to their incompetence and lack of Pokémon variety. He is also dying from an unknown illness which effects his energy percentage, performance in Pokémon Battles and brawls.
Personality:
Giovanni is a corrupted, power hungry man. His life goal is to conquer the world with powerful Pokémon. He prefers to use Ground-type Pokémon, though Poison Pokémon appeal to him as well. His first and favorite Pokémon is Persian, whom he always has by his side and rarely uses in battle.
Giovanni cannot stand insolence among his Team Rocket employees or defeats. He instantly rejects any Pokémon that are or appear weak and only shows concern for Pokémon with pure power. Giovanni is persistent, ruthless, and big headed; constantly referring to himself as the best Pokémon trainer. He is greedy, but has more interest in the authority money brings him than the idea of money itself. He has a strong interest in business and can't help but apply it to other things in life. Giovanni is a recluse, not too talkative. He likes to keep himself a secret, he doesn't reveal himself to anyone. He has trouble trusting people and would quickly turn on others. He lives numerous lives; juggling his roles as head of the Gym Leaders, head of Team Rocket, and a major crime boss in the Pokémon world. Head Gym Leader requires him to be a good example and a model person in the presence of the other 7 Gym Leaders, while he reveals his true colors as Team Rocket's leader. He's a good actor.
Giovanni, however, can be sympathetic and understanding but only towards those who remind him of himself, to those he sees potential in, and only his party Pokémon. He also seems to have an adoration for delicate, cheerful women as suggested by his teenage relationship with Delia Ketchum. He puts trust and has deep concern for his own Pokémon; but couldn't care less about other ones. He is clever, smart, and wise; his plans only failing due to his bumbling grunts or his reliance on power only. He knows when to flee or give up in a battle or dangerous situation, however his big ego can sometimes get in the way with his better judgment. Giovanni recognizes his mistakes and has a willingness to learn and improve. When knocked down, he quickly hops back on his feet.
Likes: Powerful Pokémon, being in control, Ground Pokémon, Poison Pokémon, Viridian City, Viridian forest, relaxing, the beach, Persian, business matters, money, training his Pokémon, reliable grunts, winning Pokémon Battles, money, Delia
Dislikes: Weak Pokémon, people meddling in Team Rocket's affairs, when his plans are thwarted, Ash Ketchum, Jessie and James messing up, when Meowth pines for attention, being tricked, when his plans backfire, Gary (the new Viridian City Gym Leader), stronger opponents, his "business", chasing after Mewtwo
Appearance:
History:
Giovanni was a determined and strong Pokémon trainer as a teenager. He was made Gym Leader of his hometown of Virdian City after proving his strength and worth. He was rose through the ranks to become the final Gym Leader and the head of the 8.
Organizing Team Rocket has been a family business in Giovanni's family for at least 2 generations according to what is told to fans. His mother, known as Madame Boss, lead Team Rocket simply with her focus on making money. Her goal was to capture Mew and bring Team Rocket immense fortune. When Giovanni came to power, he changed their aim to seeking out powerful Pokémon for world conquest. Giovanni's research team, whom was hired to capture traces of Mew in the Andes Mountains, had gotten their hands on Mew DNA. They were ordered to clone Mew, but instead they created Mewtwo. The Pokémon escaped and destroyed the research facility that he was born in.
Giovanni then tried to expand Team Rocket by setting up new headquarters in Celadon City and the Viridian Gym itself. They attempted to take over the Ghost Tower in Lavender Town and the Silph Co. building, looking for strong Pokémon to use. However they were thwarted by a young Pokémon trainer in every endeavor.
Giovanni found Mewtwo and convinced him to be part of his party Pokémon. Mewtwo grew sick of being used for battling, escaped, and destroyed Team Rocket Headquarters. Years later, the gym leader found Mewtwo and tried to capture him once again. He was defeated by Ash Ketchum.
Without Mewtwo, Giovanni went back to using his regular party Pokémon made of mostly Ground and Poison types. He reopened his Pokémon gym in Viridian City and resumed his duties to the Pokémon League. However, he was beaten once again in a Gym Battle. After losing so many times, he disappeared from Team Rocket and his gym. This new goal is to start his training over and to improve by learning from his mistakes in Pokémon choice and battle. Team Rocket has been waiting for his return from solo training and is now under the leadership of Executives during his absence. While he is missed greatly by Team Rocket, the Pokémon League, however, has replaced him with Gary as the new Viridian Gym Leader.
Anything else? (Optional)
When Giovanni switches Pokémon while Persian is out, instead of returning to a Pokeball, the cat runs into the background and sits watching the battle by Giovanni's side.
Taunts-
Upward- Giovanni straightens the coat of his suit with both hands (like this) and says, "I am the leader, Giovanni!"
Left- Giovanni angrily lifts up his left fist and drops it in one swift motion while yelling, "Never forget that all Pokémon exist for Team Rocket! "
Right- Giovanni declares with his left hand in his pocket and the other in the air, "You shall face Giovanni, the greatest trainer!"
Down- With his hands in his pockets, Giovanni asks with acrimony, "So YOU want to be a Pokémon Master? Ha ha!" (Karma for anyone who can guess where thats directly :"D)
