As a member of a multitude of Role Plays (Mario, Sonic, Zelda, etc...), I can understand the massive challenge it can be to try and "juggle" all the posts you have to make in each forum. Sometimes, I go for a week posting in only one RP and completely forgetting about the other ones until I'm 'reminded' by the other players there. This is, of course, completely understandable, especially when a new RP comes out that everyone flocks to so they can check it out and claim the characters they want, such as this still relatively-new Smash Bros. RP.
I suppose I could make this be a reminder to any other RP that you may be a part of, but since I happen to be one of the Mods over at the Mushroom Kingdom RP, I figure that it would be best if I was more specific as opposed to general. However, this message is still important to any RP you are a part of.
The Mushroom Kingdom RP is currently in a bit of a dry-spell. It's not "dead" by any means, of course. People are still posting and we're still getting new members, but we've been a bit slow as of late. Part of this may be because one of our most active members, Shannon, left to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force, a very honorable thing to do. Not to fear, however: She will return soon, but it did cause somewhat of a slow-down in the MKRP because she played so many characters.
However, there is another reason I believe we've slowed down a bit: The Super Smash Bros. RP. No, I'm not condemming this RP by any means, nor am I condemming the players for "neglecting" the older MKRP for the SSBRP. Instead, I'm just offering a reminder: Don't forget about any other RPs you're a part of when you join a new one. Sure, it's nice to be part of the latest and greatest, but if you forget your responsibilities in another RP, it's going to lead to trouble both for you and for the entire RP.
And if you're only a member of the SSBRP, then I offer this as an invitation: Feel free to join the MKRP! We're always looking for new members! If you don't like Mario and don't want to join, it's okay, we understand. But, if you do like the Mario games and want to be part of our RP, then the doors are open to you! Just don't forget about the SSBRP while you're there!
In the end, my message is this: When you join a new RP, be sure that you don't forget all the other RPs you are currently a member of. That way, everyone will be able to enjoy all the RPs as they go at equal speeds.
