Name:
Forte Wily
Game of Origin:
Mega Man 7 (First appearance)
Nicknames:
Bass
Age:
Looks 14-16. Is actually closer to... 8.
Species:
Bioroid (Robot Master)
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Bad (mostly)
Type:
Medium-Heavy
Stats:
HP- 105
PP- 6
LP- 6
Residence:
Skull Castle
Personal Relationships:
Mega Man: While usually fighting the Blue Bomber, Bass HAS fought alongside him more than once, showing the two make a dangerous team. These reluctant allies can unleash devastating amounts of firepower on their opponents.
Team Smash:Omega Buster- If Bass is leading the team, he guides the Team Smash, merging with Treble as Mega Man starts to charge his buster. Then simultaneously, the two of them unleash pairs beams of energy, one blue-white, and one purple-black, which simply PUMMEL their target, engulfing them in a multicolored sphere of destruction that just may damage everyone AROUND the target if they don't move.
Occupation:
Wily's right-hand 'bot.
Moveset:
(R)Up: Bass Riser- Bass uses the thrusters in his feet to propel himself at an upward 45 degree angle, leading with one foot. He gets some pretty good height, but the attack loses power if it travels too far.
Standard: Bass Buster- Acts much like Mega Man's buster, except it's significantly weaker, and can't charge up. Instead, it fires rapid fire, like a Super Scope. He can't move while firing, but he can fire in ANY direction, even doing so in midair.
(R)Side: Dash Tackle- Bass rockets forward, about the same distance as Luigi's Green Missile, and knocks anyone in his path out of the way.
Down: Treble Pounce- Bass points at his target, yelling "SIC 'EM, BOY!" And Treble lunged forwards. If he connects, he bites them three times, then runs back to Bass.
Bass' jumping ability is about the same as Mega Man's, although his second jump is a bit better, being about 3/4ths as high as his normal jump.
Final Smash:
"Treble, boost! FULL POWER!"-Treble leaps into the air, then in a blur of motion and energy, fuses with Bass, giving him a set of large, purple wings, as well as changing all the gold on his armor purple as well. He then flies into the air, and fires his buster downward, unleashing a powerful, black and purple beam, that does the same kind of damage as Ganondorf's attacks.
In essence, he rips off Lucario's Final Smash. The only differences are that he can't move his beam around. He CAN however, fire seeking bolts of energy while firing the beam, which knock enemies INTO the beam.
Weaknesses:
Bass is physically slower than Mega Man, or Protoman, (made up for by the fact he's stronger), and generally has a harder time "thinking on his feet". He has the same weakness to stage hazards the other two bioroids have, and he's OBSESSED with beating Mega Man, thus proving he's the most powerful robot in the world. and will abandon any task for anything he thinks will assist in that goal.
Personality:
Bass is cocky, loud, obnoxious, and generally a somewhat sadistic, near-homicidal jerk. He's obsessed with proving he's stronger than anyone else, ESPECIALLY Mega Man, who he's constantly told he should be able to beat, since he has more raw power.
He does have a little good in him, and can cometimes be convinced to show mercy, especially to people who really had no business being involved with Bass in the first place, for whatever reason.
Wily keeps him on a TIGHT leash, which Bass constantly resents. He'd love nothing more than to let loose and like, level a city, which he COULD do if it wasn't for "that stupid Blueberry" constantly showing up. But while Bass DOES seem a bit unstable, he's VERY competent, and is one of Mega Man's most dangerous foes for a reason. He knows how Mega Man fights, and can counter it.
Likes:
Proving he's the most powerful robot on the planet, fighting Mega Man, Treble, Skull Castle, Lurking in high places.
Dislikes:
Mega Man, and losing to him, being bossed around when he has better things to do, humans in general
Appearance:
Treble
History:
In Mega Man 7, he pretends to be against Wily and be good to steal plans of the Super Adapter to create a similar function with Treble, to be able to fuse with him and fly. His weakness in Mega Man 7 is either your standard Mega Buster (because it's all you have at the time) or possibly the Rush Adaptor. Bass is the sub-boss of the first two Wily stages.
In Mega Man 8, Bass fights against Mega Man in the Wily Tower using Evil Energy to power up his attacks.
Bass had turned against Wily in Rockman & Forte (Mega Man and Bass in English), though it's possible that Bass was unaware that King was under the employ of Wily. Bass gets angry when Dr. Wily creates more robots, as he believes he alone is strong enough to defeat Mega Man without Wily's interference.
He appears as a playable character in both of the arcade games (The Power Battle and The Power Fighters). In Bass' ending of Power Fighters, Dr. Wily says that when he was creating Bass, he also created accidentaly "Bassnium" ("Forutenium" in Japanese), a very powerful energy, that he is studing to improve and create a robot that can overdue the strength of both Mega Man and Bass together. Bass says that a "girlie robot" like this would never defeat him. Bass says to Proto Man that after he defeats Mega Man, he will fight him. Proto Man answers that they will never fight each other then, as he says Bass will never be able to defeat Mega Man. Duo says that there is goodness in Bass, which he ignored saying that he only wants to fight.
Duo's words did bother Bass a little, and periodically he still wonders if obeying Wily (even reluctantly) is what he should be doing...
Since then, he pretty much stayed to the shadows, doing small tasks for Dr. Wily. He ended up being in the castle the day Warp Man exploded, so found himself in This World.
At the moment, he's working as Wily's scout of This World.
