Name:
Sir Arthur
Game of Origin:
Ghosts n' Goblins
Nicknames:
Arthur, Arty, Wonderbriefs, the Fragile Knight
Age:
34
Species:
Human
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Good
Type:
With Armor - Heavyweight
Without Armor (less than 75% health) - Middleweight
Stats: With Armor/Without Armor/Golden
HP- 130/98/(n/a)
PP- 7/7/8
LP- 6/7/7
Residence:
A village near the Battlefield Fortress
Personal Relationships: (optional)
N/A
Occupation:
Knight
Moveset:
(R)Up- Chain-Axe: Arthur throws a modified hand-axe, which has a chain attached to the end of the handle, upwards in a high arc, then pulls it back. This can be used as a tether recovery move. This move can also be angled so the axe lands farther away from Arthur.
Standard- Lance: Arthur throws one of his trusty lances (which he never seems to run out of) at high speed. This has the potential to cause major damage if it hits head-on.
Side- Dagger: Arthur tosses throwing daggers, at high speed. The weapons do little damage, and have almost no knockback, but can quickly build up damage.
Down- Fire Water: Arthur pulls out a blue bottle, with blue flames coming out of the top of it. He can then throw it. When it hits the ground, a chain of three explosions travels along the ground the same direction the bottle had been going.
Arthur fights at close range with an almost comically large sword, called Excalibur, which is slower than any of the other sword-wielding characters, but also packs more punch than theirs. This slow speed leaves him open for attack, which would knock more armor off. So he tends to fight at a distance with his other weapons.
Arthur's armor is pretty heavy, and in fact, Arthur moves as quickly as, and jumps the same height as, metal Mario when so clad. As Arthur takes damage, pieces of his armor fall off, which makes him move faster and jump higher, but also makes him easier to hurt. When at 100% damage, Arthur is left in only his heart patterned boxers, and now has the same speed and jumping ability as Mario (read, average). After executing his Final Smash, Arthur will again be wearing his armor, and would require another 50% worth of damage to remove it again.
Final Smash:
Magic Armor: Arthur, whether he's wearing his armor or not, holds his sword towards the sky, and is struck by lightning, becoming engulfed in gold light. When it fades, he's now clad in golden armor, with a red cape. His moveset while wearing the armor changes, to reflect its more magical nature. This transformation lasts three rounds, and when over, Arther is again wearing his armor, whether he had it one when he started the FS or not.
(R)Up- Golden Flight: He now simply flies upward, surrounded by gold light, then comes back down the light becoming a small shockwave around him. Similar to Dedede's Jump attack.
Standard- Psycho Cannon: Arthur shoots high speed fireballs from his hands. On impact, these fireballs explode violently. He can guide these fireballs to a limited degree.
Side- Merlin's Mirror: Arthur summons a mirror in the direction he's facing, which if timed properly, will deflect attacks back. The mirror then shatters forward, damaging anyone in front of it.
Down- Double Magic: As if one Golden Arthur wasn't bad enough, he can summon a clone of himself, which for one round acts like the Ice Climbers, while no longer allowing him to use this move.
Weaknesses:
While Arthur's armor is durable, it seems to have a problem staying ON him, resulting in it having whole pieces of it knocked off. So as a result, his defense is good, while it lasts.
He's also incredibly devoted to the concepts of honor, and chivalry, and will insist on fighting fairly. Which also means he doesn't use items. Except a Smash Ball. Since he seems convinced its some kind of holy icon.
Personality:
Arthur is a man of action, but a patient one. He can tolerate almost any amount of what would be considered by him unacceptable behavior, responding with nothing more than corrective criticism. He's incredibly chivalrous, and will go out of his way to help a lady in need, although he still cares most for his princess, who waits for him in a far away land (which actually, sadly for him, is not in This World).
Likes:
Traveling, adventuring, rescuing damsels in distress, that sort of thing. He doesn't really have any hobbies.
Dislikes:
Zombies. Or any kind of undead, actually. Those who would strike a lady. And those who fight without honor.
Appearance:
Armored
In Boxers
Magic Armor
History:
Sir Arthur was a king once. No, not THAT King Arthur, but it's easy to make that mistake. His kingdom was constantly under attack by demons and undead, who even (several times) went so far as to steal the love of his life from him. He'd been defeating these forces for years, until finally, in yet another confrontation with the King of Demons, he struck again the final blow, sending him back to Hell, but this time, the demon had a trick up his sleeve. With a laugh, he declared "IF I WILL BE CAST FROM THIS WORLD, THEN SO SHALL YOU!" And with this curse, Arthur found himself hurtling through a vortex of light... and he arrived in a village, near what was called the Battlefield Fortress of This World. He's stayed there, traveling only a short distance away, then returning, certain that some day he'll find a way home.
