Name:

Age:

Species:

Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Good
Type:
Middle Class (leaning towards lightweight)
Character Stats:
HP: 85
PP: 5
LP: 8
Residence:
Glade of Dreams
Occupation:
Hero
Moveset:
Rayman is a hand-to-hand fighter who just so happens to have long-range capablilites. This is mostly due to the fact that his hands are not attached to his body, allowing him to "throw" a punch... literally. Also, his limbless-ness makes him very agile, dodging attacks with ease.
Special Move - Fist Throw: Rayman winds up a punch and throws it. The longer he charges up, the further and more powerful the punch will be. Plus, the fist can also do damage as it returns back to Rayman. However, he can only do this move twice in a row... He's only got two hands, after all.
Side Special Move - Body Bowl: Rayman picks up his torso and rolls it ahead of him, taking out anything and everything on the ground. This attack can break through shields as well as carrier items, such as crates. Unlike the fists, his body does no damage when it's comming back to him.
(R) Up Special Move - Heli-Hair: Rayman can use his odd hairstyle to fly up into the hair, helecopter style. Anyone caught in the "blades" will be damaged, and after the inital height gain, Rayman can continue to use the move to hover/glide through the air, giving him excellent recovery abilities.
Down Special Move - Plum Toss: Rayman pulls out a giant, purple plum and tosses it in front of him. Anyone hit by it not only suffers minor damage, but are also momentarily stuned as they try to dislodge the fruit that is now lodged firmly on their head! Oddly enough, anyone can now stand on the plum-headed character for a little extra height, if they so wish.
Final Smash:
Heart of Lums: Rayman rises up and expells 1000 lums (small yellow balls of energy) in all directions. Despite the massive amount of them, each one only does 1% damage and there is no kick-back. The flip side, of course, is that it's nigh impossible to dodge them.
Weaknesses:
Take away his hands (not very hard to do, actually) and he's defenseless, gets scared a bit easier than most heroes do, gets uncomfortable around any "furry" creatures (a bad habit developed after having to deal with the rabbids)
Personality:
Rayman is a young, cheerful... thing... with a heart of gold. Standing up for what is good and right, Rayman will eagerly risk life and limb (figuratively speaking, of course) when duty calls... Even if he begins to have second thoughts after agreeing to do the task. According to various sorces (read: the Rayman 2 instruction manual), "His energy and good humor, his fantastical powers and love for life and nature won over even the most distrustful of the beings." He also is quite the party-animal, loving nothing more than having fun or a good laugh with his friends and finding the best part of any great victory to be the celebration that follows.
Likes:
Plums, adventure, plungers (don't ask), Ly the Fairy, his pal Globox, lums
Dislikes:
Robots, pirates, robot priates, furry animals (bad experience), Murfy's attitude, dark lums
Appearance:
History:
Not much is known about Rayman's past. Supposedly he was found by fishermen on a beach by the Sea of Lums. This was further elaborated on when Rayman discovered that he was the only creature living in the world who was not dreamed up by Polokus (the creator of the Glade of Dreams), as well as the only person who can convert the Silver Lums made by the Fairies into powers. It is speculated that Rayman could in fact be a 'chosen one' selected by all the gods of all the worlds, destined to fight against evil. Despite this, Rayman has not allowed it to dampen his views on life and continues to be witty and rather energetic.
Rayman used his powers to fight off evil beings such as Mr. Dark, Admiral Razorbeard, and Andre the dark lum. However, it would be his latest foes that would prove to be the most... interesting. Rabbids, demented looking rodents that were both evil and oddly comical at the same time, suddenly appeared in his world and tried to take it over. Thanks to Rayman's efforts, they were unsuccessful, even after they found a way to cross over from his fantasy world into "reality". Sadly, chasing them into the real world had a consequence: Rayman has so far been unable to find a way back to his own world. Thankfully, neither have the rabbids, giving him the comfort of knowing that they could not plot another takeover while he was gone.
Nevertheless, he has struggled to find a way back to his beloved Glade of Dreams. While trying to do so, however, he instead found himself in another, different world... This World.
Anything else? (Optional)
