In order to prevent
* People from being swept away/forgotten in posts
* Discourage too many people from joining one thread
I have decided to implements a limit to how many posts one can make in a thread, depending on the number of people in a thread. For each RP post you make, you must wait until a certain amount of posts are made by other people.
1-3 - 1-2
4-6 - 3-4
7-8 - 5-6
... and so on. A thread should never have more then 8 players. Please note that this says players, not characters. At this moment, players can bring in as many characters as they believe they can keep up with.
If a day passes without anyone else posting the required amount of posts, you may then post regardless of the rate limit (but afterward you will have to wait again).
If after five days a player does not post in the thread, you may subtract one player from the thread's player count.
This only applies to RP threads. Everything else is still fair game.
Battle Clause-
In the event that a battle breaks out in the thread (Mario vs Sonic, whatever) the posting rate rule is no longer in effect until the battle ends.
Even though the rate rule is no longer in effect when a battle breaks out, it's courteous to allow other people to catch their breath or join in the fight.
Observing Clause-
Characters that are not actively participating (observing/hiding/sleeping/etc) make the player count temporarily go down, for as long as they are observing/hiding/sleeping/etc. If another character involves the o/h/s/etc character, player count bounces back to normal. IE-
A takes a nap (player is temporarily removed as they're not doing anything). Characters B and C talk and do some things. C shakes A to wake them up and tells them B insulted A's mother. A wakes up and slaps B around (rate goes back to normal because they're active again)."
