Name of Location:
Angel Island
Neighboring Locations:
The island floats around, so it's location is never really solid.
Bestiary:
Badniks (robots created by Dr. Eggman, usually resembling animals, and usually containing an 'animal battery'. Destroying the badnik frees the animal, which is often a small creature like a rabbit, penguin, tiny bear, bird, etc)
Ghosts (these generally frequent the ruins, mostly in the desert area, and they have an intense hatred of light)
Wild animals (the sorts you'd expect in jungles and such)
Appearance:
The Island has a large amount of biomes, consisting of vibrant jungles, enormous mushroom forests, icy mountain peeks, deserts filled with ancient ruins, and more (also, an amusement park?!)
History
Originally, the Floating Island (Angel Island's other name) was part of the land and was inhabited by the echidna tribe. They lived in tune with nature and worshiped the seven Chaos Stones of Power and the water spirits, chao and Chaos. However, there came a time when the former leader of the tribe died, leaving her son to lead. Unfortunately, he was a ambitious and greedy leader, and constantly had the tribe wage war on their neighbors in the pursuit of power. But even that wasn't enough, and finally he turned his greedy eye on the Chaos Emeralds. Attacking the shrine, he harmed the chao that lived there, enraging the water spirit Chaos. Chaos absorbed the negative energies of the Chaos Emeralds and laid waste to the entire echidna civilization in mere moments.
The chief's daughter, Tikal, went to the Master Emerald and begged it to stop the madness. Sacrificing herself, she sealed Chaos into the Master Emerald, along with her own soul, and the island was lifted from the land.
Since that day, the remaining echidnas had created a line of 'Guardians' to watch the Master Emerald, in case greed may ever try to cause another catastrophe.
Events:
There usually isn't any events going on, it's mostly just wildlife and nature, with the exception of the ruins (which are ruins), and the amusement park (which is shut down). There's also the Master Emerald Shrine, but going there means you may get your face beaten in by the Guardian, Knuckles.
Anything Else:
Durr.
