Name:
Ion replica 7
Game of Origin:
Tales of the Abyss
Nicknames:
Fon Master Ion, Fon Master, kid
Age:
He is 2 years old but he has the body of a 14 year old
Species:
Human
Gender:
Male.
Alignment:
Good
Type:
Lightweight
Residence:
Daath, Auldrant
Personal Relationships(optional):
Anise - Friend/Crush
Florian - Rival
King Dedede - Friend, Crush(?!)
Occupation:
Leader of the Order of Lorelei - a theocracy that used to rule over the people's lives in Auldrant and depended completely on the Score, which is one great prophecy. Only the Fon Master is able to read this prophecy.
Moveset:
Ion cannot jump that high and he is not a fast runner, but he is quick to dodging and striking. His basic attacks all include whacking the opponent with his staff.
Most of Ion's special attacks are Fon Artes (which are basically magic attacks).
Regular B - Holy Lance - Light falls on the opponent and swords (made out of magic) crash down onto the enemy.
Side B - Eclair D'Larmes - Opponent is trapped in an X made out of light that gives them some damage before disappearing.
Up B - Ion spins his staff while moving upwards.
Down B - First Aid - Ion recovers himself. The less this is used the more damage it can recover and vice versa. Minimum recovered is 5%, maximum 15%
Final Smash:
Ion casts a very heavy spell. The range is a huge circle that takes up most (but not all of) the stage. Small light beams appear and hurt the enemy (causes very little damage) but soon the light builds up into a gush going upwards, damaging greatly. Those in the center of the attack will receive the most damage. This video displays the attack; watch until the end.
Weaknesses:
Ion's body is made out of the same magic that he uses for attacks. So when he attacks, he is using up his body's cells and that affects him greatly. He becomes more tired and might even faint (Will DEFINITELY faint after a Final Smash). Also he is vulnerable to attack while casting a spell. In addition to that, his physical strength is not so great.
He is easily used and taken advantage of. Whoever's custody he is in, he will most like do what they tell him to.
Personality:
Ion knew what he was when he was brought into the world and accepted it although it saddened him. He was nothing more than a replacement; and one that was to be controlled by others of the Order and so he feels like he is worth nothing because they could just replace him with another replica. He carries this sadness deep within him and tries to hide it from his friends because the last thing he wants is for them to get upset.
So despite his young age, he has not had the chance to live like a kid and experience a time without something to do. But he does not mind and is responsible. He puts others WAY before himself because he feels that he is not as important, being a replica and all. And so he would even give up his life to better the world.
Likes:
His friends (Luke, Anise, etc), other replicas, people in general, the world that he lives in even though it's far from perfect
Dislikes:
Mohs, being a replica, seeing people in pain and suffering, poverty, discrimination against replicas
Appearance:
History:
Fon Master Ion is the leader of the Order of Lorelei, a neutral theocracy currently trying to calm the power struggle between the Malkuth Empire and the Kingdom of Kimlasca. He is calm in most situations, and can utilize Daathic Fonic Artes, though that can be exhausting. Ion is worried about the state of the world and its obsession with the fulfillment of the Score, which is the prophecy set down by the ancient prophet Lorelei. Unlike most members of the Order, he believes that the Score is but one of many possibilities that can occur.
Ion is actually the seventh replica of the original Ion, and has been in the original's place for two years. The original Ion had been dying of a mysterious disease and allowed Van to create replicas of him. Of the replicas, the Ion that the party befriends was the one with capabilities closest to the original's Daathic Fonic Artes ability. The rest of the replicas (minus Florian/Ion IV, who was kept for the use of Van and Mohs for reading Yulia's Score) were sent to Mt. Zaleho to be thrown into the volcano, but one (Sync/Ion V) managed to escape.
During a revisit to Mt. Zaleho, Mohs forces Ion to read the Fonstone that would cost him his life. Reading the Score off the tablets uses a great amount of energy, and Ion is pushed too far, as the Seventh Fonons inside his body separate. Before he passes away, though, Ion gives Luke the Score, which he can use to save the world, and transfers his clean Seventh Fonons to Tear in exchange for her miasma-poisoned Seventh Fonons, curing her. Anise is partly responsible for Ion's death because she tricked the party and brought Ion to Mohs. Neither Ion nor the party blames her, though, because Mohs was threatening to hurt her parents. The whole party is driven on by the memory of Ion, a victim of Mohs' obsession with the Score.
Lorolei felt like he needed to praise Ion for guiding Luke to saving the world and for fulfilling his purpose and did so by giving Ion another chance at life. However, he decided that bringing him back to Auldrant might mix up the balance of things and so he randomly chose another world to send him to. And so Ion ended up in the world of Smash.
