Moveset:
Yuan's moves mainly consist of slashing his duel blade weapon around.
Regular B - Thunder explosion. Yuan forcefully thrusts his weapon into the ground which causes a damaging lightning explosion around him.
Up B - Lightning sword. Yuan casts a spell and a sword falls down (in the chosen location). The area around it will be electrified.
Down B - Yuan goes into 'angel mode.' His pink wings appear and his weapon disappears. Used mainly for speed boost and dodging attacks. During angel mode, Yuan cannot use any other special attacks. He can punch and kick however, even if it's not that strong.
Side B - Yuan hops on a rheiard and zooms at the opponent with his weapon out.
Final Smash:
Yuan calls in his army of Renegade soldiers. They rush onto the scene and each attack once before leaving the scene.
Weaknesses:
Although he is a skilled fighter, his moves are predictable and if one fights with him often, they will be able to know when he will use what attack and act accordingly. As his weapon is big and sometimes requires use of both hands, he leaves many open spots. Also, his armor and weapon are heavy so he cannot jump high.
Mentally, Yuan cracks down under peer pressure. He often changes his mind under heavy influence of others.
Personality:
Yuan can be pretty self-centered and bratty. He likes being in power and pampered. He is also extremely ill-tempered to those that he doesn't know but his bark is worse than his bite. He is not the best with words and that frustrates him at times especially when others point it out.
It is hard to tell whether or not he is on your side because he does whatever he can to achieve his goals, even if it means he has to kill his lifelong friends. Generally he tries to make the world the way his late fiance wanted it to be. He might seem playful a lot of the times but there is a hint of buried troubles and sadness in his eyes.
However, recently, with the loss of all of his friends, Yuan has mellowed out somewhat. His personality dulled and he talks a lot in a serious tone. This is because he is suffering from depression after the loss of all of his friends.

Around 5000 years ago, the worlds of Sylverant and Tethe'alla were joined in one and mana was abundant. However, scientists started to abuse the power and use it for advanced technology that eventually started a war. It consumed so much mana that the mana tree wilted. It was during this era that Yuan grew up with his loves in a town that is now known as Asgard. Though even at that time half-elves were discriminated against.
Mithos decided to go and fight so that peace could be restored. With him he took Yuan, Kratos, and reluctantly his beloved sister Martel and together they were able to take down armies. Somewhere along the way Yuan and Martel became engaged. But after the war was over, Martel was killed by a racist human.
This sudden loss upset Yuan greatly and made Mithos snap. In an attempt to bring back his sister, he split the two worlds and placed his sister's spirit in the mana tree's seed. They discovered expheres and cruxis crystals and developed farms owned by half-elves to grow the gems in humans they capture. They later were known as desians and they were the lowest of the Cruxis organization with Yuan, Kratos, and Mithos at the top.
With the Cruxis Crystals they were able to defy nature and live without aging. They developed strong powers and wings. In addition, they were free of human necessities such as eating, sleeping, and pain.
They tortured countless of humans and installed a religion for the people to believe with Martel being the goddess and every once and a while would look for a vessel for Martel's soul which became to be known as 'chosen ones.'
Yuan went along with all of this until he felt Martel's will and realized that she did not want all of those terrible things to happen. That is when he started a secret organization called the 'Renegades' which goal was to take down Cruxis. He had to attempt to kill Kratos and Mithos, his best friends but he knew that their downfalls might be necessary.
Reluctantly with the help of Lloyd, he was able to overthrow Mithos and restore order in the world.
-DOUBLE SPOILER ALERT-
After the world was brought back together and the new mana tree was planted, Yuan was placed in charge of it and guarded it with the help of Martel, who was reborn as a tree summon spirit. However, with the world being brought back together, new problems arose that mainly revolved around the summon spirit Ratatosk.
Yuan took Lloyd who was busy ridding the world of exspheres and together with Martel pleaded with him to put a stop to the reawakening of Ratatosk. Lloyd made a pact with them, in which he promised not to tell what his mission was about and took off.
Meanwhile Yuan took a trip to Asgard to indulge himself in memories of his past when he met Ratatosk himself. He was a bit surprised at his new conscience and took a note of it before returning to the World Tree. After multiple discussions with Lloyd, they decided that they should let Ratatosk in on their plan in hopes that his good conscience would win out over the one that wanted to destroy all humans and half-elves.
Lloyd and co. took care of the rest while Yuan sat behind watching that tree. However, the day before Ratatosk headed off to the Ginnungagopp (the door to the demon world Niflheim), Yuan received a message from an old friend. It was none other than Kratos Aurion himself. The two had been able to communicate to each other because the the mana trees on the world and Derris Kharlan were related. However, Kratos showed up to tell Yuan that it would be their last conversation as Derris Kharlan was moving too far away to hold up communications.
The two shared their final farewells and soon afterwards the world was saved and peaceful once again. Although Yuan has recently been suffering a deep emptiness inside of him at the sudden realization that none of his friends are really alive or around anymore and solemnly protects the World tree by himself.
