Klonoa is a speedy and agile character. He lacks in strength and endurance, but his flexibility allows him to dodge attacks, as well as "hit and run". Klonoa has developed a style which relies on using his enemies against his enemies by manipulating the wind. He is a good jumper, and his Hover ability allows him to fly short distances for a certain amount of time by flapping his large ears.
Upward Attack: Erbil- Klonoa pulls out an Erbil, which allows his Double Jump to be enhanced. When the Erbil is tossed under him, the Erbil electrifies Klonoa and sends him shooting into the air. It is a recovery move and can deal damage by flying into enemies. Based on Fox's Fire Fox attack.
Standard Attack: Wind Bullet- Klonoa fires a Wind Bullet from his Ring. The Wind Bullet captures an enemy and pumps him or her with air until they are sent flying, he decides to throws him or her, or they break free of his grasp. When he has his enemy pumped with air, he cannot hover around. However, he can perform a Double Jump in which he tosses the enemy onto the ground, giving him an extra boost.
Side Attack: Tornado Attack- While running, Klonoa spins around and around to form a tiny tornado. Foes are sucked in and pulled towards him. This attack doesn't deal any damage, but foes that are far away or avoiding Klonoa can be brought in and made available for attacking.
Down Attack: Moo- Klonoa pulls out a Moo attached to his Ring and pumped with air. It can be used to reflect projectiles and block enemy attacks. Based on Peach's Toad.
Final Smash: Ngapoko Egg- A white and green egg appears on the battle field. While Klonoa is invincible and the egg is can only be opened by him, Klonoa grabs a foe with his Wind Bullet. The foe who he uses to open the Ngapoko Egg is instantly KO'd. Inside the Ngapoko Egg is a 1 Up Coin which fully heals Klonoa (and any of his team mates) and adds an extra life to his stock.
Weaknesses:
Besides being only close range, Klonoa's attacks are mostly dependent on his enemies. He is extremely weak, his attacks don't deal much damage. Klonoa is light and lacks a good defense, which makes him prone to being sent soaring off stage and KO'd.
Klonoa easily and often gets anxious in difficult situations. He is a bit reckless with his things, often getting them lost or broken. He isn't very organized. Most of all, Klonoa is extremely curious and it is perhaps his greatest weakness. It gets him into trouble as well as into adventures.

He is very persistent and doesn't give up on things easily. When people doubt him, he is determined to prove them wrong. Klonoa is childish and innocent. He expresses himself openly and freely.

History:
Klonoa lived in the land of Phantomile with his grandfather in a house located in Breezegale. Phantomile was fueled by the power of it's residents' dreams (called "Dream Energy") and, because of this, the people of Phatomile were unable to remember even the most vivid of their dreams. Klonoa and his grandfather began to dream of a spacecraft crashing into a mountain not too far from their house. They were able to remember this dream and retell it perfectly. Their dream comes true, and Klonoa goes to the mountain to investigate and satisfy his curiosity. He goes off with his Ring and the spirit that inhabits it, Huepow.
When they reach the top of the mountain, they meet the source of the mix ups: Ghadius and Joka, who are determined to make Phantomile a land of nightmares only. They kidnapped a magical priestess, Lephise, and were in search of a pendant holding magical powers to aid them in getting control of the "Dream Energy" which keeps Phantomile's shape and form. Klonoa and Huepow follow them with the intent of stopping their evil plot. They defeat Ghadius and his minions, saving Lephise and restore Phantomile to it's original state.
Klonoa was then transported to a world called Lunatea while asleep. He woke up in the Sea of Tears and was rescued by a young priestess named Lolo and her dog Popka. They called him the Dream Traveler, and told him he was summoned to Lunatea to help them in their time of need. The three are lead by Baguji, a wise but mysterious prophet. He tells them what they need to do and where and acts as Klonoa's guide. Klonoa was instructed to ring the bells located on each of Lunatea's 4 Kingdoms to collect elements (tranquility, indecision, joy, and discord) that are released with their chime and are needed to recover Lunatea. He was also lead by a "Dream Voice" who called to him often and was most likely the one who summoned him to Lunatea.
A sky pirate named Leorina and her sidekick, a cat named Tat, had intentions of ringing the bell of one forgotten kingdom, The Kingdom of Sadness: Hyuponia. While ringing the bells of the other kingdoms bring tranquility, indecision, joy, and discord, the fifth bell would release complete sadness, despondence, and chaos onto Lunatea. Leorina succeed in discovering the fifth Kingdom. Baguji revealed himself to be the King of Sorrow, who ruled the Kingdom of Sadness, and Klonoa's Dream Voice. He was upset that his kingdom was forgotten and abandoned by the people of Lunatea and sought to reconnect the kingdom again with the others. The people refused and were afraid of sadness, but Klonoa taught them that it is necessary and the other elements are unable to exist without it. He rung the bell to make sure that sorrow is never forgotten again in Lunatea.
Klonoa has been summoned to help others as the Dream Traveler in words such as the Kingdom of Jillius and for events like the Dream Champ Tournament. He continues to carry out his job as the Dream Traveler and is driven to help anyone in need.
