Moveset:
Anise rides on her plush, Tokunaga throughout all battles. Her standard attacks are slashing the enemy with it. They cannot jump very high at all.

Standard B - Negative Gate - An orb of darkness appears at the opponent and shocks them.

Up B - Dragon Surge - Tokunaga claws the opponent upwards.

Down B - Dual Punishment - Tokunaga spins

Side B - Soaring Blast - Tokunaga swipes upwards and then hits the ground hard, sending a wave.

Final Smash:
Mystic Arte - Final Fury followed by Dying Moon


Weaknesses:
Tokunaga is very slow. Also, Anise cannot fight without it. In addition to that, she can get knocked off of it easily. Like other spell casters, if she is attacked while she is casting the spell will not happen. She's a child too, so attacks do more damage on her.


Personality:
For a young girl, Anise is extremely outgoing and flirtatious, especially towards those who have a lot of money. On the outside she generally pretends to be cheery if she doesn't want her friends to know about her problems. She can be extremely cheesy at times. There also seems to be a dark side to her that rises to the surface at certain occasions.

History:
Anise was the guardian of the Order of Lorelei's highest official, the Fon Master. She is a bright and cheerful little girl, but can sometimes show a darker, almost scary side when provoked, and often hide her emotions when she is suffering. She seeks to marry into money, and it seems that she has been conspiring to become Luke's wife ever since meeting him. As a doll master, she can make her stuffed toy, Tokunaga, gigantic and ride on it in battle as it attacks enemies. She controls the doll by use of various equipable magic rods, with which she can also cast spells.

It is revealed later in the game that Anise is actually a spy working for Grand Maestro Mohs, albeit unwillingly. She reported every action the party took to Mohs, enabling the God Generals to continuously track the party. Her parents owed Mohs a large debt and were forced to work for the Order of Lorelei without pay. It was because of this that she was made a Fon Master Guardian. When Mohs takes Ion to Zaleho Volcano, she is forced to betray the party to save her parents (whom Mohs was using as hostages to ensure Anise's cooperation). Anise feels guilty about Ion's death, and when the party is forced to defeat Arietta in a duel, she feels guilty despite having a rivalry with Arietta. The party, however, does not blame Anise for her actions and welcomes her back to their ranks. Anise eventually gives up her hopes of marrying rich, instead resolving herself to rebuilding the Order of Lorelei in Ion's vision and becoming its first female Fon Master.

Weaknesses:
Florian is very weak and frail. Even more so than Ion Replica 7. He has no fighting skills and although he can use the seventh fonons to read the score, he cannot use any Daathic Fonic Artes. Even if could, using one would probably kill him. It is very easy to send him flying.

Florian has trust issues. He is scarred because of events in the past which leaves him to lie his trust in very few, one of them being Anise. He tends to trust children and women more than men.

Personality:
Florian is very childish. He acts like a five year old, and his thought patterns are similar to one as well. He enjoys playing around. He is very antisocial and shy and uncomfortable in Daath because he looks just like Ion, whom everyone admires and as such is treated oddly.

When he does get to play it is usually with Anise because she is the only one who does not look at him funny. Over time he became attached to her and clings to her, always following her closely like a duckling. He uses her as a shield to hide from all the scary and bad people.

History:
Mohs, given permission to make replicas of the original Ion, started to make a series of replicas. However, most of them were failures, as they were unable to read the score which was the only thing he cared about. The third replica, Florian, was the first of the Ion replicas to have this ability. However, he was very weak and Mohs decided to lock him up and take him out in case the other replicas were failures as well.

Florian stayed in a dark and cold cell for most of his life. He was only taken out after Ion Replica 7 (The present Fon Master throughout Tales of the Abyss) passes away because there was no longer anyone able to read the score. Mohs thought that his reading of the score was incorrect however, because the score told the story of the destruction of mankind, not just the downfall of Malkuth. He cast Florian aside and after Luke and Co. defeat Mohs they rescue him. Anise proposed to bring him back to Daath and gave him the name "Florian." Ever since he has been close by her side.
