The doctor chuckled softly at Ikki's momentary lapse in judgement, then continued speaking. "Then hopefully we'll be able to help each other. I'm currently in the process of setting the satellites around this planet into a network for a teleportation grid, a system used in my world, and your computers, which handle such tasks regularly, would be a great asset." Dr. Light then pressed a few buttons on his console, sending the image he had of the satellite network. "This system also uses sensors to locate robots that would use the grid to warp from place to place, with secondary sensors being used to make sure they don't appear inside a person, or object. These secondary sensors could easily be used to boost your station's sensors, allowing you to find your lost people."

Dr Aki adjusted his shades, trying to carefully study the image of the network Light created. Looking at his granddaughter... "Nae...?" The young woman typed on one of the computers, checking the data on the image. She blinked with wide eyes, "Doctor, this data could improve the function of the tranport units...greatly!" That really brought his interest, but Dr. Aki was still skeptic. No one would come directly to you, giving you these neat and powerful toys for free. But then again, the man said he needed his help. "So, Dr. Light, is there a reason for doing this?" On the monitor, Ikki scooted over Dr. Light's shoulder. "He's looking for his kids; robot kids to be exact!"The elderly man blinked. "Huh? Robot kids??"

Doctor Light simply smiled softly. "I put my heart and soul into building them, so I imagine they would be considered my children, so I treat them as such. If I can get this network working, they would be able to come back home." The doctor paused, collecting his thoughts for a moment. "And you could bring those you've lost home as well, or at least be able to find them so you can."

Well, treating robots as their own children sounds interesting; a Medabot and a Meda-Fighter should consider each other as friends. Though he has seen people who treat their Medabots like they were their kids. Well, the man here seems so much like the trusting soul, and Ikki and Metabee seems to trust him. He sometimes go with Ikki's judgment, especially since he has saved the world a couple of times. Sides, they don't have a choice, so they have to take this opportunity. But still... Whispering to his granddaughter, "He seems trusting, but just to be on the safe side, you think we can cut off this network from the Navi systems incase he tries anything?" Nae looked at the screen, checking to see if the data isn't too complex to remove. "We'll need to analyze this, but after that, yes." Well, since they have the strings kept on watch, Aki turned back to Dr. Light. "Alright, you have our agreement, Dr. Light." The boy and his robot cheered, hooking their arms and swinging around in a dance. "Alright!! Hear that, Karen, my sweet? We're going to save you!!""AHEM!!" Aki growled, startling Ikki and Metabee to a straight salute. "Since we have your Meda-Watch on lock, we're sending a ship over to come get you, just as soon as we get them repaired. I want you two back here."

Thomas simply bowed, then began typing commands into his console. "Thank you, Dr. Aki. I'm sending you the date you'll need to link to the network. After you've ran the program, the network should be in place within a day. Possibly even sooner."

Nodding, the man signed out. Ikki grinned at Metabee, picking him up in a swing. "Yeah!! Few moments, we'll be home sweet...sort of home!" "Yeah, and I'll finally get this bod fixed and waxed back to its Meda-beautiful self!"

Turning to Ikki and his Medabot, Thomas was nothing but smiles. "Thank you too, Ikki, without you coming I would have taken far longer to pull this all together. And I hope you find this "Karen" of yours."

"Uh huh..." Ikki seemed to be absent-minded right now, for he was on cloud-9 thinking about a certain red-haired girl with pigtails. Metabee kept snapping his fingers at Ikki's face, but it fell on deaf, 'disabled' ears. "Oh great...cuze me, pops, but I gotta find some water for lover boy here." Grabbing the back of his collar, Metabee dragged the boy out of the lab.

The doctor just chuckled, and turned his attention back to the computer, watching the progress of the teleportation network. "This might just actually work..."
