Being a demon of the highest order, and born in an environment where everything wants to kill you; Laharl is no stranger to combat. Not only is he a refined swordsman but hes also strong at hand to hand combat.
Standard B: Prinny Throw
Laharl has a whole army of demons to back him up in his fights, too bad all of them are exploding penguins that are generally useless. So Laharl takes out his frustrations on both the enemy and his useless soldiers. When Laharl throws a Prinny, they explode on impact; the explosion is small of course, but has some decent knockback when they're damage meter is high.
Up B: Blazing Knuckle
I highly suggest you move away from this one, the puny Overlord leaps into the air and at the ground smashing it with his fist, a pillar of red fire will briefly appear around him; burning surrounding enemies. This is also good for a 3rd jump, but if Laharl can't reach the ground in time, he'll rocket off stage.
Side B: Blade Rush
Where is Laharl's sword you ask, why its hidden within his dimensional scarf handy huh? Laharl calls apon his trusted blade and charges up for a full lunge and swing at his enemies, its just like Ike's Quick Draw only his is longer in range, and the knockback isn't so high.
Down B: Evil Laugh
Oh boy, hes laughing again. The little guy has a terrible habit of laughing when hes overconfident, it gets annoying after a while...however don't think this means you can count him out and just attack while hes laughing; he hates that. If enemies attack Laharl during his Overlordy moment, he'll embrace the attack with his sword and give a powerful counter attack!
Final Smash:Meteor Impact
FOOLS you will all bow down before Laharl, the great Overlord; AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! And its here, the prince's most powerful and unforgettable attack, Meteor Impact! If he gets the Smash Ball he'll jump off screen and summon a large meteor that works like Snorlax's attack. Its huge so its alittle hard to dodge, but its possible to avoid it if your either on a big stage, or have a good recovery.
Weaknesses:
The boy suffers greatly from a phobia that keeps him away from women with well built bodies, he can be around iron boards like Etna and Flonne though. For an Overlord hes small, so he can be blown back quite far, and his overconfidence borders on the line of insanity.
Personality:
The boy isn't too deep in personality, hes a mean, cruel, sadistic, obsessive, idiotic, overconfident Overlord that believes hes some kind of god to everything that moves. Secretly however, deep deep down under Laharl's rage...theres more rage, but past that is a small hint of emotion; love. Laharl hates love, so he expresses it in other ways...trash talking.

Himself, his title, his throne, Flonne(sometimes), bossing people around, killing stuff that moves, being praised for his evil deeds.

Love, Etna, the Prinnies, Etna!, his father, Mid-boss, women with well built bodies, incompetent vassals, ETNA!!!

History:
Laharl was born in the netherworld and raised by his father to be a good king...they're good is our bad apparently. One day Laharl decided to take a nap, but when he woke up(thanks to the loud Etna), he found it was 2 years later! How can one boy sleep for two years, well it is the Netherworld anything can happen. He found out from Etna that his father had died leaving the Netherworld leaderless, like a starving dog all over a plate full of raw mean; Laharl jumped all over the chance to become Overlord. But to prove his worth he had to take over many other Overlord castle's that have been fighting tooth and nail for the throne, in other words he had to knock off the competition.
Eventually he met Flonne, an assassin sent from the heavenly dimension, Celestia to kill him; but she doesn't like hurting people so she ran off. Demanding answers, and for the sake of his pride, the shrimpy Overlord ran after Flonne like a demented stalker, trying to get some answers out of the dull headed angel. Eventually she confessed to Laharl, and said she was sent to kill his father, not him. He told her shes waaaaay too late, as the old man is already in his grave and that he didn't care. Flonne was shocked at Laharl, believing that he does miss his father, but he stated demons don't feel love; so Flonne decided to stick with Laharl until he can feel love...the prince was obviously mad, but he let her join anyway thinking it could be interesting.
Well for spoilers sake I won't go too deep into his history, eventually Laharl became an almighty Overlord; and for Flonne's betrayal to her angel kind she was turned into a demon, allowing her to fit into Laharl's Netherworld. One day Laharl was board and decided to go to the gatekeeper to train in one of the closest areas, but as a joke Etna decided to distract the Gatekeeper while she enchanted the coordinates; making her screw up and sent Laharl into another dimention...this world to be exact. Laharl was mad beyond belief at what happened, but decided he can go home at anytime he wishes; for now though he wants to check out this world...to see if its Overlord material.

He enters the battlefield by cutting a dimensional hole from one side jumping in the fray.
All his taunts are him laughing maniacally.
