Name of Location:
Station Square City
Neighboring Locations:
The Swamp, The Canyon, The Ruins, The Great Sea
Bestiary:
Various Sonic the Hedgehog final bosses. Also, Black Arms. WOO!
Appearence:
A New York-esque city, with tall skyscrapers, big streets, a burger shop, a city hall, a Casino, a train station (hence the city's name), and an inn with a pool and a chao garden on the second floor. While most vehicles drive the usual way around the city, there is the Speed Highway, a large, expansive, racetrack-like highway that is built above the cumbersome city.
History:
When Sonic the Hedgehog and his gang of friends decided to visit this city, the citizens thought themselved blessed. But they were soon proved wrong, as ever since the Hedgehog has appeared, Station Square has had a nasty habit of being destroyed by various things. First, the tidal wave from Angel Island swept into the city, and then the appearance of a mysterious water-like creature were reported. Eggman began a hostile takeover, finally ending with trying to blow up the city with a nuke. And even though he was thwarted by Tails, the city was then completely flooded and demolished by a rather pissed off Perfect Chaos. Then when things FINALLY settled down, Sonic was framed by Shadow, and with GUN chasing them both, the city was thrown into hysteria. There was quite a long lapse of violence after that, but before the city could hope that it was all over, ALIENS INVADED. And consequentially ripped the city to shreds. The result is a once resort-city turned into a place of paranoia, superstition, and crap randomly blowing up.
Events:
-Watch out for speeding cars! Take damage if one hits you.
-When on Speed Highway, the Highway Police love to chase whoever's on foot. They do no damage, and rather act either as platforms, or annoying objects that get in your way.
-Every once and a while, a Final Boss from some of the Sonic the Hedgehog games appears to wreak havok upon the city! Do note that these appearances do NOT happen in the canon threads of the RP. These are for battle threads ONLY. The roll of a die determines which boss appears, and after they are gone, the city quickly returns to normal. Hey, Station Square's had plenty of practice at it. XD
Note: Generally the Final Bosses are more intent on destroying the city than attacking you (which means that generally you only get attacked once or twice, by accident), so unless your strategy is to hope your luck is good enough to dodge their attacks and your opponent is not so lucky, ware to ever attack them! They'll come after you without abandon. Final Bosses last 3 turns, and they all are virtually invincible (since they ARE a part of the stage, like the Ultimate Chimera), and... they're kick ass.
1. Perfect Chaos Appears: The city is flooded (6-sided)! Skyscrapers go slanted, and the only land available to Smashers are the high tops of those skyscrapers, and the broken bits of Speed Highway. In the background, Perfect Chaos is seen smashing things with his sharp fangs, Hyper Beam, energy missiles, and writhing tentacles. Be warned, as sometimes those tentacles (6-sided, max of two attacks per turn), fangs (6-sided), missiles (8-sided, max of 6 missles per turn), and HYPERBEAMOFDOOM (10-sided) come shooting into the foreground!
2. Final Hazard Appears: A ticking time bomb! The ARK first shows up as a tiny flaming dot in the background, but as time passes it grows into a great big ball of fire, before being Chaos Controlled away. Has no effect on the city beyond making the civilians go crazy.
3. Metal Overlord Appears: Feel the wrath of a metal dragon! Metal Overlord sweeps across the sky, raining down shots of ice (8-sided, max of 8 shots per turn), and even airships (8-sided)! Occassionally, he'll use Chaos Control (6-sided, and if you fail, subtract 1 side from the dice in your next two turns), which makes it harder to avoid his relentless assault.
4. Devil Doom Appears: ALIIEEEENS! The Black Comet appears in the background while Devil Doom will send down various Black Arms (1 HP, 5-sided, max spawn rate is 3 per turn) to do his bidding. And while easy to dispatch, they certainly distract you from everything else, including Devil Doom's oncoming Chaos Blast (10-sided)!
5. Solaris Appears: Along with Solaris shooting down small lazers (6-sided, max of 8 lazers per turn) from above, he'll use his powers over time to call forth another Final Boss. Beware the day he calls another of himself!
6. Self Destruct: As an added bonus, the city blows up for no dang reason. Characters that get caught in the crumbling rubble take damage (10-sided).
Anything Else:
IT HAD TO BE DONE.
Also, I had assumed that no one would actually try to attack the Final Bosses, and so hadn't made definate die rolls for their attacks. Well I am now. :B
... And now that I think about it, I actually wish this stage had been made in Brawl. XD
