"Argh! What's taken her so long?" Wes moaned as he leans onto a wall outside on a classroom, "I thought girls take long in the bathroom, not in school!"

"I'm here!" Rui said as she pooped out of the class.

"FINALLY!" Wes replied, "You know I'm not part of this school thing, but you've managed to bring me here for picking you up, and had me waiting for like an hour!"

"Sorry, but I want to pass a test coming up!" Rui replied as she begins to walk down a hall.

"Whatever, let's just go before it gets dark." Wes said.

"What, you afraid of the ghost?" Rui giggled.

"What?!" Wes answered back.

"They say ghost, the 'girl in the back' lurks here at night." Rui laughs.

"Whatever, let's just go!"

Outside of the High school, a dark presence rises as people begin running away as a dark knight being walks. He scowls at them, and stops.
" Whats this I sense?" Nightmare says to himself and stare at the building before him," I feel the souls in this building, Finally, after adventuring across this soulless world, I finally found some spirits for my blade!" The dark demon said as he marches toward the high school, and without bothering to open the doors he slices it with his huge sword.

"Man, will you hurry up already?" Wes asked getting impatient as he turns around and sees Rui not moving, but her eyes flashing, "What's wrong?"

"Wes, I sense something is coming!"

Wes didn't make a reply as he choose one of his pokeballs and let it out as a purple cat-like creature was brought out.

"ESPI!" Espeon cried out. Rui saw this and let two pokeballs.

"PLUSLE!"
"MINUN!"

"Where are they?!" Nightmare Said to himself as he passed down the halls of the School, feeling the presence of souls, but can't find a single living body anywhere. "I'll tear this whole place APART!" Nightmare roared, and that's when he saw further down the hall, a group of shadows, three small ones, two the shape of mice like creatures, an another a cat-like. And behind them, were two human shapes. "FINALLY!" Nightmare growled, in happy tone as his blade starts charging a red evil glow, the complete Soul Edge. "PERISH" The demon shouted as he charge down the halls with his sword ready for an attack.

Plusle and Minun notice the attack and they both quickly dodge it as the demon sword destroyed the floor.

"Who or what is that guy?" Wes asked.

"AAHHHH!"

"RUI!" Wes screamed as he went to the girl as she fell to the floor with her eyes glowing.

"Th-that man...he has...a aura!"

"An aura?" Wes quoted. Rui has the power to see into hearts, that dark auras are around creatures with no hearts. "Espeon, CONFUSION!"
"Espi!" The power said as he let out a psychic attack.

"PATHETIC" Nightmare yells as he move away from the attack and starts to drag his sword on the ground for a 'Fire Strike'.

"PLUSLE, MINUN!" Rui cried in horror watching her Pokémon got strike by a strong fire-attack, and held her head again due to Nightmare's aura.


"Plusle, Minun, you two get Rui out of here now!" Wes shouted, and the two mice nodded as they and the girl limp out down the hall. "Espeon, Confusion again!"

"Espeon!"

Once again Nightmare blocked the attack by backslapping it, "Go ahead and run you worthless trophy, I feel no soul from you." Nightmare yelled at Rui and her Pok?mon as they ran off, "Wait...I feel no souls from any of you, where is it?"[rand=54048831629014571536355836829510549249350510677451681521269646742]

"What? Look buddy, we're all trophies, we have no souls! And what would you want with one anyway?"

Meanwhile, down the halls Rui hid in an empty classroom huddle under a desk hugging her Pokémon.
"Be quit guys...please!" Rui beg and her Pokémon shook, unknown to her a dark shadow forms in the window, and shapes into a girl with long hair.

"For get it, I'll still crush you" Nightmare said as he was about to chop Wes in half, when he stop with his blade in mid-air, "I sense it!" Nightmare exclaimed as he shoved Wes away and stormed down the hall.

"WHOA!" Wes shouted as he was pushed into a locker and from the Nightmare's power cause the collision to break the locker open. "What's with that guy?" Wes asked himself as he picked up a wallet from the locker and pocket it. "What?" He asked to Espeon who stared at him, "Hey, if the guy didn't want his wallet stolen, then he shouldn't put it in a place where a demon-thing could break open."

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!"

"RUI!" The dark trainer went into his jacket and threw out another Pokémon bring out a dark cat version of Espeon. "Umbreon, Espeon, let's go!" He shouted and the three ran down the hall.

Back in the classroom, Rui was on her behind, crawling back wards as he Pokémon stood before trying to look intimidating sparkling thunder at the sight of a ghostly girl walking towards them slowly.

"T-t-the Girl in the Back..."

As Nightmare ran down the hall he felt that the soul getting stronger, and he busted through a door seeing the girl and her Pok?mon, but most of all the ghost.
"A spirit, at long last I have found a soul to add for my power!" Nightmare took a swung at the ghost, but the Soul Edge only went through, "What?!" Nightmare snarls as he made rapid swings at the ghost, each strike he managed to wreck the floor or anything else in th room his blade touches.

"RUI!" Wes shouted as he and his Pokémon ran into the scene and took notice of the creature Nightmare is striking. "What is that?"


"Wes, that's the ghost, the 'Girl in the Back'!"


"So, that's the ghost huh? Well Dark beats ghost, UMBREON!"


"UMBRI!"


"Wait Wes!"



Rui was too late, as the Pokémon prepared to bite the ghost, but only fell right through and look at the spirit in confusion. The ghost made no emotion, but her hair did rise as a shock wave knock into Umbreon crashing him to a wall badly injured.


"Umbreon, return!" Wes commanded sending his dark-type Pokémon to the pokeball. "Why couldn't we hurt her? And why is there a ghost?"


"My class has a theory of ghost in 'This World'. Remember the ghost in 'Luigi's Mansion'?" Rui asked, and her friend nodded, "Well, my teacher said that trophies may not have souls, but when they are about ghost or other spirits, the trophy is the soul."


"Okay, that explains how ghost may exist, and why the Dork Knight over there looking for her, but what's this girl's story? Can we stop them like those ghost at that mansion?"


"She's a different type of ghost from a different world, when the fights are held here, she tends to be used as an obstacle that's immune to attacks, but she can hurt others and may even KO them."


"Great, how are we going to fight her? Plus deal with that demon?"


While the kids were having their discussion, the ghost turn her face to Nightmare and she lifts her right arm as it morphs to a claw as she reaches for the demon knight.

As the claw was about to strike, Nightmare struck his sword into the ghost's limb and swiftly dodge the attack,"See if you can survive this"! Nightmare yelled as he charge dark energy in his sword, soon his blade got more demonic looking as it was soak in red metal with eyeballs around, Nightmare and temporary made his blade, the Complete Soul Edge. "GIVE ME YOUR SOUL!" "What's with that guy?" Wes shouted as Rui recalled her Pok?mon, and Espeon leap beside his trainer.


"Look at the ghost!" Rui shouted pointing to the girl who was growling like crazy, soon cracks formed on the window as glass shards flew around in a twister.


"Rui, we have to get out of here now!" Wes ordered, "That thing found that ghost, an we can't fight either of them, and if we stay we'll be like her! (Figure of speech though, considering we're trophies." Rui nodded at Wes and the two human and Pok?mon quickly ran out the classroom.


The Girl in the Back however didn't pay any attention to the kids as it focus all her attention at Nightmare, soon all the glass shards merged into one path as it swirled towards the demon.
