She looked at Geno about to explain. "A Smash Battle is as the name states, a battle between warriors. Anyone can enter the fight. From swordsmen, to Pok?mon, to bounty hunters, monsters, the list goes on and on." She pointed at Link. "This Link's ancestor was in both tournaments before, and he took his place in the latest one and even helped in the Subspace war." She added on. "The original Link fought against other legends, like Fox McCloud, Samus Aran, and Mario."

In one ear and out the other, as the saying goes. While what Shino was saying was obviously rather important and an attempt at explaining further... nothing really made sense to Geno, beyond the fact that this was starting to sound like some kind of tournament.

Of course, that was until Shino mentioned a certain someone. The star spirit blinked, shocked and now alert, at who she had just named.

"Mario!?" Geno demanded, the name appearing to hold much importance to him. "Do you mean Super Mario, the one who is almost constantly at odds with Bowser?""

When Geno suddenly called out Mario's name, this surprised Shino a little. "Yes, that is what he is mainly called by. Mario of the Mushroom Kingdom, princess Peach's protector and plumber. Do you know him?" Of course there wasn't anyone in This World who hasn't heard of Mario. Not only was he a heroic plumber, but he's also incredibly charismatic and has been on more adventures then Indiana Jones.

This was... unexpected. Mario- the Mario HE knew- was here! It was as if fates had decided that they would meet once again. And as Shino asked her own question, the wooden doll seemed to become more sprightly than Shino had seen so far.

"Know him?" Geno asked rhetorically, giving Shino a shrewd, but lively (as lively as wood can get anyway), smile, "I was with him during one of his adventures!" This was great news! If Mario was here, then Geno would finally be able to understand the complete picture. After all, since his adventure with the Great Gonzales, Geno knew the plumber to always, always, ALWAYS be in the thick of things.

"With him but aren't you...ah wait." Shino was brought back to a certain law of the world, she and pretty much everyone else are basically copies of the original warriors who live elsewhere in this universe. This Geno probably knew the original Mario, fitting that he would appear in another world with his friend still near. Geno seemed pretty happy when he heard his name, matter of fact he was pretty ecstatic. The ninja smiled back at Geno. "So you fought with the legendary Mario? You must be very strong."

The smile slowly disappeared as Geno questioned what had made Shino pause like that. Perhaps he would learn why later. Another reason the sparkle in his eyes cooled to a simmer was when Shino mentioned his abilities.

"I... am only as stong as I have to be." Geno said quietly, letting his cape flow over his shoulders to cover the rest of his body in humble embarrassment, though it was obvious from the lingering excitement in his voice that he was still overjoyed that Mario was around somewhere. If only he could be found easily!

[Mage]

Shino blinked at her wooden friend, curious as to why he suddenly got embarrassed. She found herself scrambling in her mind trying to get Geno out of his embarrassment. "W. well I'm sure you are as strong as you need to be, unneeded strength would only serve to...err..." She tried to remember Granboss's lecture, but sadly her partner Izuna was too busy talking in her ear all day about how she was eager for lunch. This wasn't like her to be flustered so easily, but Geno seemed to be different from other people she's spokeen to. "...Im sorry." She ended up bowing to Geno to apologize, but ended up slamming her head on Geno's wooden one.

"..."

Well, having someone BOW to him, and then consequentially HURT THEMSELVES by whacking him on accident was unexpected. That said, it was quite reasonable for him to be unable to think of a proper response.

[Native One]

As the two taller people discussed to one another, Louie had paid little attention to them - not to be rude, but in awe of the match happening right in front of him. True, he had never even HEARD of Smash Battles before, so seeing one this close up was something amazing to him, if not a bit dangerous.

And even though he heard a 'BONK' right next to him, he still decided to leave it be.

[Mage]

"...." Shino was more or less in the same boat as Geno, in terms of speaking anyway. The girl suddenly pulled her head back rubbing the red mark on her forehead caused by the impact. "Ow..." She was pretty red from the embarrassing blunder, she forgot they were too close together. The ninja then turned her back to Geno not trying to show her moment of weakness. "My apologies, Geno."

Geno merely nodded in acceptance, though noting that Shino now had her back to him, he supposed that speaking up would let her know that it wasn't a big deal.

"It's nothing that I can hold against." Geno replied, still feeling a bit awkward. The star spirit looked back to the fight, and seeing that it was still heated, looked back to the ninja.

"We should probably get moving then. As interesting as the battle is, I'd rather travel around to learn more about where I am... and of course find Mario, now that I know he's here."

When Geno told Shino it wasn't too big of a deal, it felt like a weight was lifted from her shoulders. On reflection, she had a mission to get back to. "Ah, right." She turned to Geno nodding, still slightly blushing from before. "Your right, there are plenty of battles like these in This World. And if your looking for Mario then perhaps I can help on the side." She started to lead the way for Geno and Louie. "Come on you two, we're heading off to the Floatport."

[Native One]

When he heard Shino called to him to follow, he was almost tempted to ignore and stay to watch the match. But, remembering his broken ship, and the fact that he knew bogus about the area he was in, he quickly picked up his equipment and followed the ninja.

Louie sighed, "I need to find an easier way to carry this..." He said under his breath, but it was probably loud enough for the others to hear.

Geno heard his complaint, and, upon looking back and seeing the little space-man struggling with all of the equipment he had brought along, couldn't agree more.

"Here." Geno said, walking over and scooping up more than half of Louie's equipment into his own arms. That done with, he followed after Shino, trying to come up with an image of what a Floatport might look like. He was reminded of that taxi-like vehicle on Nimbus Land.

Before he could react, Louie saw the big wooden arm of Geno's reach down and take his Monster Pump and Comedy Bomb. At first, Louie was surpirsed, but quickly smiled slightly and said "Thank you.." Carrying his Shock Therapist and Flare Cannon, he followed the two.
