The futuristic city of Monsteropolis; home of the robotic hero, Mega Man, stands in its typical day...as if the people here doesn't realize their city has been pulled into This World. But perhaps the people 'seen it all', being a place where countless attacks by Dr. Albert Wily happens like a traffic jam. So of course, after a few touch ups and patching from the Bass incident, it was like it never happened.

Except the Flutter and Marina's ship still lies in ruins in the middle of the streets, while the police tries to figure out how to get rid of them.

Just a typical day, never the less.


Maybe they need to get another taste of This World.




"WOO HOOOO!!!"

From the tallest skyscraper, a blue streak falls at rocketing speeds, parting the visible winds it rushes through. This blue 'laser beam's' red sneakered feet planted against the building, skidding against the fall, and then they pushed the beam away, as it shot across the city.

The beam landed on a traveling hover truck, taking a small break, making himself clear for the world to see. You guessed it; Sonic the Hedgehog has come to Monsteropolis to explore this new city. It seems these days, new places just pops up, just ripe for Sonic to explore...

...and have fun.

With a mischievous grin, Sonic launched off the truck, leaping on one hover vehilcle to another before he 'flew' around the sky traffic. But in reality, he was speeding around the glass sky-tunnel.

Springing off the tunnel, Sonic tumbled for the lower sky-street, like he was sky-diving. But then, as he curled and span in his Sonic-Spin, he bounced off the side of a truck, bouncing down off another like a pinball, until he landed in the middle of a 'normal' street and sped off, gracefully maneuvering around the people in lightening speed. Course, he left a trail of wind that slow down some people, and even making some skirts fly, no one got hurt.

Sonic's a professional at this. Don't try this at home.

But he didn't stay in the crowded streets for long as he 'flew' off, jumping across from one building to another over the streets. He soared, spreading his arms out like he was really flying, over to a building that had a radio tower. Sonic shot THROUGH a 'billboard, which was just a hologram, before he bounced off a radio tower and slammed on the roof. With his legs of steel, he can easily survive falls like that. Thank the Magic Rings for that.

Why was he on top of a radio station? Well, because the 'billboard' he flew through had something that caught his interest.

'MP 98.5, your #1 radio station of Monsteropolis, home of the Blue Bomber, Mega Man.' With a picture of the said hero, himself.


Again, he mischievously grinned. "Well what do ya know..."

Sonic wasn't the only speedster in the city. Coming up from the far end of a long street filled with cars, trucks, and vans, a loud motor engine could be heard. It started getting louder and louder until a racing ship could be seen in the distance, weaving its way in and out of traffic.

The driver of the ship was none other than Captain Falcon, and he was driving his beloved Blue Falcon. With a satisfying yell of entertainment, he literally flew right past the radio station Sonic was on top of.

"Wha...?" he noticed that crazy cry as he pulled out his cell phone. Sonic spotted a familiar blue hover racer, the Blue Falcon. So it seems he wasn't the only person to find this city, huh?

Curious to what that car is doing here, Sonic leaped out of the roof and sped across the building sides. He, in the meantime, dialed his cell. He so hated phones, especially waiting for the person to pick up and listening to that blasted ringing, and the fact that a certain someone who's pink can abuse it. But alas, he had to endure it, for this was important.

His phone would ring for a few moments before the person on the other end picked up, and that person would be...



"... Sonic? Is this-a you?"

Yes, it was none other than Mario himself. He certainly didn't sound very happy to hear from the hedgehog, however. In fact, if one could listen closely, they could probably hear the sounds of a battle raging on Mario's side of the call.

"Sigh... Look, Sonic... Now's really not a good-a time, okay?"

As always, the ol plumber sounds stressed. That ol fool always tries to put the weight on his shoulders, even when it kills him. Why does Mario wonder why Sonic gives him prank calls? He needed to lighten up. Anywho...

"Heh, still sore about the toilet joke?" Sonic asked, racing after the Blue Falcon on the buildings. "Anywho, is that robo-kid around? Just want to let him know that I found his turf. I think it popped up a little after he did."

[Native One]

Falcon quickly shifted the gears on his racer. Gripping the wheel tightly, he made his way on to another street. Soon he went on another and another. Then he just stopped turning and stayed on one road.

"Man, I'm never gonna get out of this city!" Falcon shouted to himself over the roar of the engine. He flew right on down the street, still avoiding cars and people and the helpless little puppy.

"... ... ..."

There was a long pause on the other end as Mario took in what Sonic had just said. During this time, one could just barely hear out someone screaming, "CHIEF!" on Mario's end.

"Wait, wait, wait... You-a found Mega Man's hometown? Uh... Whatchamacallit... Monsteropolis? How's that-a possible? He's-a not from This-a World! He's like-a you!"

There was another short pause before Mario added something else.

"... And-a yes, I'm-a still sore over that, thanks-a for asking."

"No prob."

Shooting off the wall, Sonic bounced on one hover car to another, reaching for the Blue Falcon.

"Anywho, his future-ville is here now, and obviously you never been to Green Hill, huh? So, unless that war-sound in the background is any headaches for you, can ya give the word to Mega-Guy?"

Springing off a flying school bus, while the kids inside cheered at Sonic's daredevil stunts, the hedgehog rocketed on the bottom street, close to the 'actual' streets, where there are mostly people walking on the 'streets'.

Sonic LANDED on the Blue Falcon, making it rock for a brief moment. Smirking, Sonic pointed at the driver. "License and registration, bud?"

He was still on the phone while toying with Captain Falcon.

[Native One]

"Woah!" Falcon was not prepared for the hedgehog jumping on the machine, "What was-" He looked up and saw Sonic ON TOP of the Blue Falcon, "Woah! Sonic! Get off of the ship, I can't see where I'm going!"

The captain aimlessly started turning the racer's steering wheel, in hopes that he wouldn't crash into any on-coming buildings or people.

Or that he could shake the Blue Blur off. Whichever comes first.

Before Mario could reply, there was a huge explosion on his end, followed by what sounded like large, booming footsteps.

"What the heck?... Hold-a on a minute, Sonic..."

After a brief moment of silence, there was a loud, mechanical roar that practically drowned out anything else on the phone.

"... Uh... Sonic? You-a like to smash-a robots, right?"

"Uh oh..." He rather not cause a traffic accident, and be the cause of many injuries. So, Sonic flipped up to the very top of the glass hatch, right on top of Falcon. "I need to get this."

Sonic went back to his call. "Does your ugly 'clone's' breath smell like garlic and rotten cheese?"

[Native One]

As soon as Sonic left his view, Falcon yelled in shock. He was headed straight for a building! He immediately turned the wheel to the right, causing the Blue Falcon to turn sharply in that direction, and safely away from the building.

"Woo..." Falcon sighed in relief. Seeing as though Sonic wasn't going to get off anytime soon, the captain pulled into the nearest parking lot and landed the flying race car.

"Hello?" Sonic tapped his cell, hearing nothing but sizzling static. It seems whatever is going on where Mario is, was jamming the signal. Well, if there was trouble, there was nothing Sonic can do, for he has no idea where that plumber is. Well, it's no big deal; that mustached plumber can handle himself easy.

Now to deal with the racer as Sonic jumped off the car. "Sorry for getting on your sight, pal. But what's the hurry? They moved your flying races to this turf?"

[Native One]

The Blue Falcon's window opened up and the Captain jumped out of the ship.

"Nope. And if there was, you'd see other racers... behind me." Falcon said to the hedgehog, "Actually, I was just riding through the Ventosus Plains when I heard on my radio that the Smash Torunament sign ups were going on. I wanted to get there quickly to make sure I was in the next one, but I sort of lost track of where I was and ended up here."

Falcon took a look around, "You know where this place is, anyway?"

With a pathetic grin, Sonic scratched his head. "You know, I tend to jet pass so many places, I can't tell what the blurs are."

Suddenly, Sonic heard some commotion close by...a group of people crowding around an electronics store. Gathering their words in his ear, some of them sound like fear, and the name 'Bass' is what he kept hearing. Curious, Sonic zipped in front of the crowd, checking out the TV behind the display window.

And what he got was a live new coverage of some guy with a fish helmet, who looked related to Mega Man, going 'gun-ho' across a street. He was attacking a pair of army kids, and the police in the background were trophized or just plain helpless. Looks like cops are just as reliable as back in Station Square, he's sad to say. There won't be more cops coming for a while...

...and worse, a little girl just walked right into the danger.

Figures, the hero leaves his turf, and all hell breaks loose. The hedgehog zipped back to Captain Falcon. "Hey, guess trouble decided to rear its butt-ugly head with the 'clean-up guy' away. Might as well be the substitute janitor. You can come and help if you want...if you can keep up. See ya!"

With that, Sonic rocketed through the streets. He saw crashed ships in the background of the news. He seen that place before, so he knows where it is.
