Dr. Light's eyes widened, and for a moment, he seemed to be in shock. "Your name is... Roll?" Not only did this girl know a boy with the same name as his son, but she was named after his daughter? This was swiftly encroaching into Twilight Zone levels of strange... Then he heard about this... tournament. He never liked them, they were so brutal, regardless of rules put in place to prevent it... "A tournament... Yes, please, tell us more."

"Over the past few years, we have been made into this world to fight. The very first tournament was the one that sparked a revolution. After that more and more people crowded around to enter and watch, battle is this worlds finest history." She paused. "These days, as long as the person has the will to fight they can enter the tournaments, regardless of background, age, or species. And trust me, there are certainly more opponents in the arena then you can imagine." Sami herself was never interested in the tournaments, but her friend Max was, so she always hears the same thing about it from him. "Near the end, the Master Hand challenges the champion who won all they're matches. Thats how anyone can meet him personally."

"Um, yes...um..." she wondered why that shocked the old man. But she failed to ask when he focus his attention on Sami. "Reaaaaally, huh?" Metabee punched his robotic palm. If he had a mouth, he be grinning wildly. "Heh heh! Ol Metabee is startin to feel the attraction. I'm so there!" "Metabee, we do have to wait for Dr. Aki to come get us...not to mention, look for our friends." "Aww, I'm sure they can do that! Besides, you wanna get some 411 on getting out of here or what? We talk to the big cheese!"

Zero mulled over this information. He didn't really care what the tournament involved; he'd be willing to handle any task, including those impossible for normal humans, if it meant he could return home. However, this sounded like a fighting tournament from what he had gathered so far, which was not only far within his range of abilities, but something he was already experienced with. I hope these humans don't expel flames like the last ones did, he thought. It should be a simple matter for him to fight his way up the ranks and confront this Master Hand person. If he was truly as powerful as Sami claimed, it would be an easy task for him to create a portal back to Zero's universe. Zero chose not to consider what would happen if Master Hand was feeling less than cooperative. The reploid only had one more question (maybe two, depending on the explicitness of the answer). He ignored Metabee and Roll, asking it immediately after Sami had finished speaking. "Where do I sign up?"

The doctor looked uneasy, but made no further comment about Roll's name, his attention focused more on this... tournament. "I don't support using a tournament to speak to whoever is in charge but... if there's no other option, then I suppose we must."

It seems that Metabee was eager for a fight, Which caused Sami to smile. She liked strong men...or whatever gender Metabee claims to be. Sami told Zero. "The main sign ups are in Smash city or in any other big city area, but the tournament varies from different locations. If you want to enter, then prepare for long trips."

The little robot punched his palm. "Hey, no pain no gain, right? Whadda you say Ikki? Let's get Meda-busy with this and go sign up!" And the bot dashed off... Or would have if Ikki didn't grab him by his cannon-horn. "Yeah, no stopping you when you're like this; I know. But let's warn Dr. Aki about this at least? I don't want to hear him blow a heart-pipe or whatever, worrying about us. Plus, there's still a matter of cleaning you up." Looking over himself, Metabee forgot he was still dirty. "Aw maaaan..." If Rock was here, he may participate in this tournament in order to get home ... but he's not here. Roll wondered how she'll use this to her advantage if Rock's not here. She's no fighter. Well it doesn't seem like she's needed, so she should just leave. She wasn't interested in the tournament; she can leave if she wanted....when her ship is fixed, which she has to go back to the city and look over the damages. Also, her ship did crashed into the blonde girl's...or was it the red head? "Um..." carefully, Marina set Prof Theo down. She then bowed to Sami in a traditional Japanese manner. Thinking about destroying someone's ship brought guilt in her systems. "S-so sorry about destroying your ship, ma'am. I-I couldn't control mine. Please forgive me."

"Distance is no problem; I am equipped with a standard long-range particle teleporter. All I need are the coordinates of my destination." He paused then, opening a compartment in his arm and removing the map he'd gotten earlier. "I received this map from another citizen of your planet; I have already scanned it into my memory banks." He held it out in front of him in offering. "If you cannot provide the coordinates for Smash City, Commander, then please mark its location on this map. I will make a record of it."

Zero mentioning a teleporter reminded the doctor of the project he was still working on, and that he needed to check the progress of. "Ig you'll excuse me, I'll be right back." And Thomas vanished into his lab.

The redhead looked at the robot maid sweat-dropping. "Umm, actually that wasn't my ship." She pulled Marina over to Roll. "Its hers, and part of that might be my inexperience." She then turned to Zero taking the map. "Of course." She circled a certain area on the map. "Its right here, I also wrote down its longitude and latitude on it, so it should be easy to find." At least she hoped it would be.

The tiny robot kept bouncing up and down near Zero, trying to look at the map. "Alright!...Now...we...just head on...up there Ikki!" "First thing's first..." Ikki then followed the good doctor back into the lab. "Dr. Light, if it's not too much trouble, can we speak to Dr. Aki when you're done?" Marina sheepishly chuckled, "Oh sorry...um, yeah, like I said..." Roll smiled, though it was a little forced since she's still stressed and worried. She really needs to retrieve the Flutter and get it working...somehow. "Yes...it wasn't your fault. Actually, that really saved us from that psychotic man. I guess you took care of him, huh?" she recalled Marina staying to fight Bass, and from the looks on the burnt marks on her armor, it didn't seem like a cake walk. Yes, the damages were killing her like sore muscles. "Yes...well he did put an amazing fight, I tell you. But...first thing is I need to figure out where to leave my creator for him to recover, and fix my ship."

Zero retrieved the map and examined it. He pursed his lips in thought for a moment, nodded, and placed the map back in his arm compartment while eyeing the strange little mechaniloid trying to jump on him. "Thank you, Commander. This should make transport a simple matter." He paused, surveying the others present. "I would offer to bring some of you along with me, but my method of travel is unsafe for organics. A Trans Server would be more preferable, but I doubt this city contains one if it is from Dr. Light's era." He stood straight as an arrow and bowed his head. There was one last thing he wanted to say. "Doctor Light, if I discover a means to get us home...I will return for you. You have my word." Then he vanished.

It seemed the array was well on its way to being complete, and, much to his pleasant surprise, may actually be finished before the day was out. Hearing Ikki's question, he turned, and nodded to him. "Go right ahead, Ikki." Heading back outside, the good doctor heard Zero's parting words, and smiled, nodding. "Thank you, Zero."

"Whoa!" Metabee was at awe at Zero's ability. "Wigwamo much?" Roll too gawked at the teleportation. Normally, her mind would be jumbling with questions about that ability, but her concern for Rock overshadows that. Plus, there's a matter of retrieving her Flutter. "Excuse me, Sami? If you don't mind, I need to get my ship back before...I don't know, this town sends it to a junk yard." Meanwhile, Ikki was trying to figure out how the communicator on the large computer lab works. With all these complicated buttons and readings, the Meda-Fighter dared not to touch in fear of damaging something. "Okay...how do you work this thing?"

The military woman looked at Roll. "Huh? Oh right, your ship." She went to her recon car. "It was partly my fault it was damaged anyway, ill help you anyway I can." She opened the door for Roll, then looked at Marina. "Thank you so much for the help." She looked at the man in the back of her car. "He belongs to you, right?" Personally, Sami couldn't stand another second with the old lecher. But her duty as a soldier won't let her just abandon him in the middle of nowhere.
