Name:
Gouki
Game of Origin:
Super Street Fighter II Turbo
Nintendo Appearance:
Nicknames:
Akuma, the Master of Fist
Age:
unknown
Species:
human (Though that now remains to be seen)
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Chaotic Neutral
Type:
Middle Class
Residence:
none
Occupation:
traveler, fighter
Moveset:
Akuma, far skilled than Ryu and Ken, performs his attacks with such speed and unforgiving power. His chi can emit fire itself, and Akuma can completely mask his chi, preventing anyone from detecting him.
Special Moves: (Mandatory)
All "B" attacks are the "Special Moves" the characters can use. (Example: Bowser's Fire Breath.)
Standard Attack - (Shakunetsu Hadouken/Messatsu Gou Hadou: This fireball he unleashes gives two hits to the foe. On ground, Akuma's Shakunetsu Hadouken is in the form of a single firey chi ball, which not only hits the foe twice, it both has 8-sided dice. This type of fireball cannot be used after 2 turns. In the air is when the Messatsu Gou Hadou takes place which he fires two chi fireballs downward. This one only uses 6-sided dices.)
Upward Attack - (Gou Shouryuken (R): It's like a unforgiving mockery of Mario's Super Jump Punch. While this uppercut hits the foe with two hits, its second dice rolls a 8. Though if the opponent dodges the first dice, then it can ignore the second)
Downward Attack - (Tatsumaki Zanku Kyaku (R): Akuma's "hurricane kick", travels more distance. Good for juggles, great for juggle set ups. If use on a single target, if it hits two out of three, the next time Akuma attacks, roll a sided dice for every roll Akuma makes. Say he rolled five dices, so you must roll a five-sided dice. You are instantly hit by the number of dices your dice rolled.)
Side Attack - (Ashura Senku:
While this isn't an attack, Akuma can 'teleport' past foes, which can also go through attacks. You must roll a six-sided die. This only works if it lands on an odd number. Also, Akuma can skip the number of attacks depending on the number of the roll. This has a three-turn cooldown.)
Aerials: (Optional)
Upward Aerial: (Shoryuken: While it maybe weaker than Ryu and Ken's, Akuma can do this move without exerting so much energy like those two. It has a VERY small leap though.)
Downward Aerial: (Tenma Kuujinkyaku: Mostly like Sonic's flying kick, only his is coated with dark fire.)
Smash Attacks: (Optional)
All "Smash" attacks are the specialized and more powerful attacks used by pressing the A button in correlation to a directional button with some force in Smash Bros. These usually consist of devastating punches, kicks, and weaponry attacks.
Upward Smash: (Kongou Kokuretsu Zan:
Speaks for itself.
Downward Smash: (Messatsu Gou Rasen: A even stronger version of his hurricane kick. This gets you in hits depending on how long he charges.)
Side Smash: (Messatsu Gou Hadou: to Akuma's huge dismay, this destructive attack lacks in range in This World; almost on par with Dan, and that's bad. But it still holds its awesome power. Akuma charges his chi to unleash a blast of dark energy in close range.)
Taunts: (Optional)
Upward Taunt - (Akuma just faces away, showing his back. Flames form into kanji character that means 'ten' (天) - meaning "sky", "heaven", or "providence".)
Downward Taunt - (Akuma hammers his foot, shuddering the earth. Flames dance around his shoulders and head.)
Side Taunt - (Same with the downward one, without the foot. But he vibrates his body, as if he embraces the evil energy around him.)
Final Smash:
Shun Goku Satsu (Instant Hell Murder/Raging Demon): Akuma's most deadly and feared technique ever. It's an attack that attacks the person's soul, instantly kills (Or trophyize) them. The damage is done by a person's sins. Akuma slides across the ground, grabs his opponent, and the screen goes black as the hits rack up. This move does obscene damage, but is very hard to land due to his slow startup time. It is, however, very gratifying. First rolls a six-sided dice for the grab. Then rolls a 12-sided dice if he grabs you. If Akuma wins, you are instantly KO'd.
Weaknesses:
While he's packed with power, he lacks a bit with defense; he doesn't train his endurance much, so he's nearly vulnerable to melee attacks...that is if you can catch him in them. Also, it seems children MIGHT get through his demon-like aura, but it's no guarantee. Despite what others might think of him, Akuma doesn't start fights against random people. This means, he won't get involved in things, like someone being in trouble...unless he believes the situations will test his strengths.
Personality:
Akuma, is to from others' point of view, a monster. The only thing he think of is the fight, and when is the next fight, and when he'll find his equal. When he fights, he shows no mercy; it's like fighting a monster. However, Akuma fights only to test his strength and his opponent's. This means that he will only fight opponents that will provide a challenge, hence his refusal to fight unworthy challengers under any circumstances. Akuma will only kill opponents who are as strong as he, which is why he stopped his fight with Gen after realizing that he was ill. While Akuma killed his brother and his teacher, he did so in the confines of the code of the warrior, where the field of battle does not distinguish between friend and foe. Akuma believes he committed no transgression whatsoever. Also, with the exception of Gouken and Goutetsu, Akuma usually only fights those who challenge him instead of picking fights. But Akuma's training comes first and foremost, and he will not interrupt it to warn off unwary passersby.
But even through this cold, evil facade, there's a tiny part of him that's human, though he rarely shows it. Rumors say that Akuma once saved a boy's life. He even gave a fruit to a child once, probably just to get the child to leave him.
Likes:
Fighting, fighting his equal, the trophy thing; he has a love-hate thing with it. The good thing he sees in it, is that if he 'kills' his foe, it may encourage them to get stronger for their next bout.
Dislikes:
Battling the weak, his foes being injured during a match, those who do not understand his perspective of a true warrior, the whole trophy thing; he believes life is not life without death. Being unable to die if he dies a 'warrior's death.'

History:
Gouki and his brother Gouken were students of Goutetsu. Goutetsu taught a nameless life-threatening martial art, which incorporates elements of karate, judo, and kempo. He also taught Shun Goku Satsu (literally Instant Hell Murder or The Raging Demon), a death technique which, although incredibly powerful, puts the user in considerable danger.
As the brothers progressed under Goutetsu's tutelage, a dispute arose on the true nature of their fighting style and the path to master it. Gouken, unable to accept the violent nature of his fighting style, left Goutetsu to begin his own dojo. Gouki continued Goutetsu's teachings and vowed to use their fighting style as it was intended.
In order to learn Shun Goku Satsu, Gouki embraced the principle of Satsui no Hadō or (The Surge of the Intent to Murder/Murderous Intent). Through Satsui no Hadō, Gouki, now Akuma, was forced to give up any compassion he held towards other human beings. In addition, Akuma realized his limits as a martial artist could be expanded, and left Goutetsu's guidance to train alone.
His return marked the end for Goutetsu - Akuma demonstrated his strength by killing his former master with Shun Goku Satsu. Goutetsu fell with an inner joy, realizing his pupil was attempting to master the nameless art. Akuma removed the beaded necklace from Goutetsu's neck and placed it around his own. Sometime later, Akuma challenged and fought his brother. With Gouken gaining the upper hand, Akuma was eventually struck down. Akuma requested death in defeat, however his brother had no intention of killing him. Akuma, vowing to return, left Gouken. Years later, he returned; they fought again, and this time Gouken was killed. Ken saw the battle as he was returning from the U.S. Martial Arts tournament. Rushing to the dojo to find it in shambles and his master dead, an enraged Ken ran into the surrounding woods searching for the killer. Akuma easily defeated Ken and disappeared. Gouken's other student Ryu soon learned of his master's death and began to search for Akuma.
Akuma began to search the globe looking for worthy fighters to challenge. Secluding himself in the shadows, he watched small tournaments and street fights, desperately seeking someone who might be able to match his strength. He was eventually challenged by a man named Gen. Gen fought a vicious battle. He had even survived the Shun Goku Satsu by emptying his soul in time. Akuma began to wonder if this man was the worthy opponent he was searching for. However, he began to sense not all was as it seemed and when Gen's mouth began to bleed Akuma's suspicions were confirmed, his opponent was sick, and the fight was not fair. After being knocked to the ground, Gen told Akuma to kill him. Not wanting to carry the fight on any longer, Akuma left, infuriating Gen. After the fight, Akuma became obsessed with Ryu and awakened the "Dark Intent".
Ryu eventually found Akuma's island (known as Onigami Isle or the Gokuentou) and challenged him. The intense battle that followed ended in a draw; Akuma was impressed as this was the closest he had come to a defeat yet. Telling Ryu to find him again when he had embraced the Satsui no Hadō, Akuma struck his island with a powerful blow and disappeared. The island fell apart around Ryu, who was left in the ocean to contemplate Akuma's words. Leaving his destroyed abode, Akuma thought about all the fighters he had encountered and wondered with excitement if one day he would fight someone strong enough to kill him in battle. This thought drove him on, finding a desolate cavern (also known as Kiga Cave) he began to train and await the day he would fight Ryu again.
Two years later, Akuma began to search once more for worthy fighters whilst awaiting Ryu to embrace the Satsui no Hadō. He could have possibly fought Adon at this time and killed him (as Adon had been searching for Akuma, yet was never heard from again). He encountered Gen once more and fought a final battle (the results of which are still unclear). However, unknown to Akuma, Ryu had rejected the Satsui no Hadō, declaring that a true warrior does not rely on violent intents.
Sometime later, while Akuma didn't enter the world tournament, he did crashed in after the final match to challenge the winner. He unleashed the Raging Demon, killing M.Bison to keep him out of it.
Akuma continued to develop his now-incredible fighting skill, and has now demonstrated the ability to remain underwater under massive pressure for extended periods of time, and has even managed to destroy a naval submarine with a technique that he has dubbed Tenshō Kaireki Jin. But when he did so, he was consumed by a great light. Perhaps something in that sub killed him, but he doubt it. Perhaps that new attack sent him to a land of Heaven, as he deems it...
...the land of Trophies, This World. A place where infinite battle will bring him infinite joy.

Shin Akuma is Akuma's power at its peak. He normally doesn't use this power on those unworthy, but being in This World, his strength is now limited; preventing him from reaching this level. If he could, Akuma would be the other version of Giga Bowser; extremely unstoppable.
